The theme of the speech was “Can a Conversation Save a Life.” It is all about how doctors and nurses should make sure there is a real exchange of thoughts when discussing one’s medical treatment.
People were crying in the conference room. At one point, I wanted to just get on a plane and go hug my own son and just hope he never has anything this tragic happen to him. Luckily, his doctor, Dr. Danielson, is amazing and super forthcoming and tells us additional information that we hadn’t even thought to ask yet. She’s pretty great.
Because of what happen to Michael, Patricia worked extremely hard and got the Michael Skolnik Medical Transparency Act passed.
Michael Skolnik Medical Transparency Act
For all physicians who hold an active or inactive license issued by the Colorado Board of
Medical Examiners prior to December 31, 2007, you will have to comply with the
requirements of the Michael Skolnik Transparency Act beginning with the May 31, 2009
renewal period. Licensing is the responsibility of each physician and, in accordance with
the Act, you will be asked to provide information regarding, but not limited to, medical
licenses ever held, current and active board certifications and specialties, affiliations with
hospitals and health-care facilities, business ownership in any business whose mission
relates to providing health-care services or products, employment contracts related to
health care, disciplinary actions, actions against medical privileges, criminal conviction
or plea arrangements, and resolution of medical malpractice claims. For more
information, please go to the CMBE website at http://www.dora.state.co.us/medical/
Also, the Office of Professional Risk Management will be providing information on
resolution of medical malpractice claims which have occurred while you have been
employed by the University of Colorado, and UPI will be providing information
regarding current independent contractor agreements of which it is aware. However, it is
your responsibility to collect all of the requisite information in order to maintain your licensure.
I used this link to get that copy, as the website wouldn’t work as a link here.
She was even able to get it amended twice more, once to include nurses and a second time to strengthen the act on patients benefit.
That’s the thing about this case is that it really puts you in her place. If a doctor, that a good friend recommended to me, told me that my son had 48 hours to live and really needed an operation, what would I do? Is 48 hours enough time to even get a second opinion? Most doctors have extremely filled schedules and this doctor made a special appointment to see her son. It is in a field that I have no real reference point for. One would hope that your doctor well tell you everything but it is hard to know what to ask. She had this great line about how she didn’t even not know what she knew to even ask about. When it comes to our health, especially after a bad diagnosis, it is hard to think of questions while your mind is swirling around about the future.
Patricia highly recommends bringing someone with you to all of your doctor appointments, so that they can ask questions on your behalf, or to remind you of your own questions that you may forget at the end of the session.
It was nice that this session was at midday Thursday, as it was a nice ice breaker for the rest of the conference as everyone had a reaction to the subject material.
The Act is only for Colorado but various states have passed similar acts.
It really was a very powerful presentation and I’m still thinking about it, nearly two weeks later.
I keep finding myself thinking about the upcoming Fall Television season.
I’m using the above Wikipedia page to keep track of upcoming shows that we are interested in, if you want to follow along.
Sunday
I doubt I’ll be watching CBS’s Wisdom of the Crowd but it has Monica Potter of Parenthood and Head Over Heels fame, I’m glad she got another series not too long after Parenthood ended.
I am tempted to give FOX’s Ghosted a chance as I’ll watch anything that has Adam Scott in it and Craig Robinson is always funny, so the two of them should work wonders together. I doubt it makes it a full season, but I’ll give the show a couple episodes. I’ll probably end up watching it by myself.
Looking ahead at a few series, I’m glad that America is finally coming around to the British way of doing television, with ten or 13 episodes making up one season. Not every series needs 22 episodes, and even those series, probably could do without one or two episodes.
I’m definitely going to follow Star Trek : Discovery onto CBS All Access. 15 episodes sounds like it will be pretty stellar. Pun intended!
Count me in with FOX’s The Orville, at least the first episode. I imagine how involved Seth MacFarlane is with this, this being his show, it should be super watchable. Adrianne Palicki probably isn’t coming back to Agents of SHIELD, any time soon. Not like we are watching that show anymore, with my wife’s ban on Joss Whedon continuing. Plus, we are so far behind on shows that, even when that ban lifts, Palicki might be back on that show or in today’s modern television era, her contract might have availability for that show.
Monday
We’ll be watching ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, expect a post regarding that cast once that is known. Which should be soon, I imagine as the season is set to start in the middle of September.
We’ll be skipping The Good Doctor, good that kid from Bates Motel got a new gig so quickly. West Wing’s Richard Schiff is part of that show, which is nice.
Bobby Moynihan’s comedy version of This Is Us, CBS’s Me, Myself & I is a show I’ll be passing on. He left SNL for this (or it timed out that way) so I hope it works for him.
My wife is still watching Scorpion, it does seem like a good show, the few segments I’ve seen of it.
We’re still on for CW’s Supergirl. We’ll probably watch Arrow and Legends on Netflix, unless we can squeeze those shows in (and if we can finish Arrow in time).
Entertainment Weekly states that there will be a proper four part crossover in November, so no word on any secret two-parters like Flash and Supergirl last season.
I’ll be watching FOX’s The Gifted, the new X-Men series. Hopefully it is good. I’ll be watching it just for Amy Acker, if for nothing else.
We’ll also be watching The Voice, now with Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Hudson. Cyrus has proven herself on the show but the clips seem to be turning Hudson into someone that makes me weary of her inclusion. I’ll be missing Alicia Keys but she did win a season, so she has to go. That’s the rule. I see on the Wikipedia page that Kelly Clarkson will be a coach, replacing the Gwen Stefani / Cyrus coach position.
Dancing and The Voice, in the Fall, is what puts us so far behind on our television watching. At least Dancing is once a week (I hope they never go back to two nights) and it is good pretty much from the start. I wonder how many Blind episodes of The Voice will there be.
I deifnitely have no interest in Young Sheldon, on CBS, and I can’t imagine that show lasting a full season. It is going to be this odd little footnote into the series.
Tuesday
We’ll be watching ABC’s Black-ish, they added another baby, so I wonder how many more seasons will there be. Tracee Ellis Ross keeps winning awards, and the only one to do so, so expect those wins to earn another season for the show. Will this be Yara Shahidi’s last season? I know Zoey is supposed to be “off to college” but she’ll probably still pop up from time to time.
I like the idea of ABC’s The Mayor, but I’ll hold out an opinion until I see a trailer for it.
I do like Jason Ritter, but I’m not sure we’ll watch ABC’s Kevin (Probably) Saves the World. Maybe if it gets high praise reviews, we’ll give it a shot.
Still be watching CW’s The Flash and keeping an eye out for Legends of Tomorrow in November.
We’ll be watching FOX’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
We’ll be sticking with The Voice on NBC and of course, This is Us. We really love that show. The short season means no filler too, which is outstanding. Once Upon a Time and Revenge as really killed my buzz for 23 episode series. Be it comedy or drama though my patience with comedy seems to be greater.
NBC’s Law & Order True Crime is tackling the Menendez Murders (for some reason), my wife got caught up in the original case, so we’ll probably give this eight episode series a look. Though, whenever I think of this show, I always think of that incredible skit from SNL.
First Got Horny 2U
Thanks to Saturday Night Live for hosting that video!
So good!
That show has Anthony Edwards, Sam Jaeger and Healther Graham in it, so that’s cool.
Wednesday
We’re still in for ABC’s The Goldbergs. I’ve been eagerly awaiting this show’s return as I’m all about Bryan Callen now and he did an interview with Bill Goldberg with Fighter and the Kid, where they confirm that Goldberg is playing Callen’s Coach Mellor’s brother. That should be super fun.
Thanks to The Fighter and the Kid for hosting their own videos.
It is a pretty good episode.
I’m still working on my Fighter and the Kid post, the way I have it now, it has like 30 videos in it and I really don’t think all of those are necessary, so I’m still tweaking it.
How are they going to work Hayley Orrantia’s Erica into the upcoming season? Or does she have one more high school year left? She’s going to Georgia for college so she should only appear for the holiday episodes and a phone call now and again, right? I’m going to miss her on the show.
We’re still watching Modern Family, still not enough Alex for my taste. That show has to be ending soon too, right? Their lack of award nominations tells me that the industry is moving on and the writers seem to be right behind them too.
My wife moved ahead with Designated Survivor so she’ll probably keep with that show.
Speaking of which, CBS’s Survivor’s theme is Heroes v Healers v Hustlers. We’ll be watching it, I like the competition elements but I do lose interest in the parts surrounding the comps. Tribal is still good, but it takes me longer and longer to learn people’s names, with each new season.
I’m all in with CW’s Riverdale, Luke Perry is going to survive the gun shot, right? Right!?! Probably the only season finale that I’m still thinking about. Flash was okay but it is clearly going to resolve itself before minute the fifth minute.
My wife will be watching FOX’s Empire. I’m not sure if she watches Star, it sounds like she does but I don’t know.
Thursday
My wife is still watching ABC’s Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder. I know it is Scandal’s final season.
We still really enjoy CBS’s Life in Pieces, we do miss that show when it is Thursday and we want to watch the episode but we have to wait until Friday to do so.
We’re catching up with CW’s Arrow but not sure if we’ll be watching it live.
There are times when I wouldn’t mind catching up with FOX’s Gotham. Orville being on Thursday is a nice sign of confidence. The Sunday timeslot must have been a premiere night.
I’ve also been tempted to get caught up with NBC’s Superstore. I’m not sure if I’m watching Will & Grace, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the show, towards the end, but I do like these reunion series that we’re getting now.
Friday
ABC’s Once Upon a Time is being “treated” to a time jump, so don’t expect that show to get renewed. I’m not sure if we’re even attempting Inhumans, it doesn’t look like any Whedon is involved with this show so maybe we’ll give the first episode a look. I do like it only being eight episodes.
We still watch CBS’s Blue Bloods, I like the show and I’m glad it continues. It is one of those rare shows where they can just keep releasing season after season, like an old school procedural. Though Frank always seems like he’s ready to retire, which would probably be the last season. I wonder if they are going to do more with Erin and Jamie this season, outside of the two spotlight episodes that they have to get.
I really want to watch Crazy Ex-Girlfriend on the CW, but it is so hard to see an episode on Netflix.
. . .
I guess that’s the 2017 element of the 2017 – 2018 Television Schedule.
I still see series listed By Network, that are not included in the above chart.
ABC has a Dancing with the Stars Junior competition that I’m sure my wife is going to love.
The CW is having Black Lightning, which is NOT part of the Arrow-verse so I’ll probably be passing on that until it is considered part of the Arrow-verse. Seems pretty dumb to not be included in the fun but Greg Berlanti said that they can jump in at any time, which is really nice of him. I completely understand wanting to stand on their own feet but it just feels like a shame to not be included, especially being on The CW. Might as well be on FOX with Gotham.
FOX has New Girl that I didn’t see above, which is also on its final season. They are bringing 9-1-1 back, now with, Angela Bassett. FOX also has The Resident that Emily VanCamp is in, she was the only reason to keep watching Revenge and after rewatching Civil War, I could be up for watching her new series. She looks to be the main nurse on that series but fourth listed on the Wikipedia page. Though I don’t recognize the first two names, I do know Bruce Greenwood. I looked them up, the top guy is Logan from Gilmore Girls and the other was in the fourth season of Agents of SHIELD. I still don’t recognize him.
NBC, the network that spurred this post, has The Awesome Show, with Chris Hardwick. Which reads, to me, like his Wall renewal contract stated he get a show that is more in line with his actual interests. It’ll be six episodes, like his BBC show was. But without the pop culture, it looks like.
I’m not tempted by The Brave show, at all, though it is getting all the Hulu advertising. Odd for a show that doesn’t have a September or October start date. Oh, I missed it above, it is on Monday nights, after The Voice.
I wonder if my wife will watch Ellen’s Game of Games.
NPH is hosting Genius Junior, a kid quiz show, in prime time!
They also have Good Girls with Christina Hendricks (maybe on a show I’ll actually watch) and Mae Whitman! Hey, Matthew Lillard is on it too! Retta of Parks and Recreation fame is the third lady of the series.
Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman are going to host a reality show, Handmade Project, which might be interesting.
Reverie is a show with Person of Interest’s Sarah Shahi as well as Dennis Haysbert, so that could be good too.
And, finally, due to alphabetical order, NBC’s Rise! The show that I’m super eager for! It stars HIMYM’s Josh Radnor as the teacher that inspires a city, via the high school drama department. It also features Moana’s Auli’i Cravalho as well. I’m surprised Disney didn’t throw a series at her but I’m glad to have her involved in this show. Still no release date. Here is an interview with Josh Radnor, regarding the show –
Thanks to Josh Radnor Videos for hosting the above video.
It is only a minute long but from the upfronts, it sounds like the trailer was well received.
Shannon Purser of Riverdale and Stranger Things (she’s Barb) will have a recurring role in it, which seems awkward. Is she only in six of the ten episodes?
Marley Shelton will be playing Radnor’s wife on the show. I know her as being the object of affection from Trojan War, though she had no chance against Jennifer Love Hewitt. She’s in Pleasantville and Never Been Kissed but I don’t recognize her from those films. I still need to watch Sugar and Spice as it has James Marsden in it. I’ve seen clips of Bubble Boy, so I know she’s The Girl in that film. She’s The Customer in Sin City, whatever that means. From in W, a horrible film. The deputy in Scream 4, which might be familiar. Shelton has these great eyes, which do leave an impression, which helps me remember her. So I’m as familiar with her as probably a small margin of people but she should be good in the role.
This all reminds me that I still need to watch Mercy Street. I started the first episode, months ago, and didn’t even get to the Josh Radnor scene! I did like seeing Mary Elizabeth Winstead, again, I don’t see nearly enough of her work.
. . .
Going down the Renewals and Cancellations section.
ABC’s The Middle is ending, a show I’ve seen like three minutes of. Scandal is ending.
CW’s Originals is ending, my wife likes that show too.
New Girl is ending and probably about time for it too.
I thought there would be more shows to confirm.
. . .
So that’s the list of what we’re mostly watching and what a few things I know I’m already not tempted by.
So I was going down a rabbit hole of YouTube videos that I’ll get more into further down this post, when I suddenly had the temptation to search for “Chrono Trigger Rap” and was really surprised what I discovered.
I came across Richie Branson’s Bring Back Chrono –
He hosts his own videos.
YouTube member, Narutokun11, was kind enough to transcribed the lyrics :
Verse 1
If I could travel back in time, like a VHS and rewind
Way before I decided to write my very first rhyme
I’d set my destination back to 1995 when the Super NES was in it’s prime
While everybody waited in line for NBA Live
I was on the grind saving up every quarter and dime
And Chrono Trigger was the game I decided to buy
When I saw that GamePro gave it 5/5
First RPG I ever played, my friends thought it meant Rocket Propelled Grenade
Asking when you coming out to play, used to tell ’em to wait
Cuz I had to save the world from a hell of a fate
So I would time travel
Through many different eras in my Wings of Time and engage in Active Time Battle
Slaughtering each and every opponent like cattle with no hassle
All in the name of Guardia Castle.
Chorus
I really wish that they would bring back Chrono
And Luca, and Magus, and Marle, and Robo
And Ayla, and Frog so you know we never solo
Triple Tech Attack to anybody sayin YOLO
Best flow ever bout the best game ever
Bet you can’t name a recent game made better
I’m reminiscing on the Squaresoft era
Killing beasts in the name of world peace, no meta.
I remember being broke without a thing
Nothing to my name but a pocket full of change, but
All I had was video games, yeah, all I had was video games
Yo I used to play Chrono Trigger each and every day
Hoping that the world would not refuse to change. Why?
Cuz all I had was video games, yeah, all I had was video games.
Verse 2
I never would have thought that when my age was older
That I would rhyme about time machines instead of Range Rovers
I’m killing tracks like I used to kill Fiend Soldiers
No New Game+ it’s game over
I wish I could go back in time and save Left Eye,
And Tupac, and the notorious guy from Bed-Stuy
I’m old school I guess you can call me Reptite
Everything I spit is truth, gotta keep my rep tight
I meant keep a tight reputation
Despite the fact that my rhymes have gamer motivations
I used to play Chrono Trigger with a lot of patience
Played every port from DS to Playstation
If I could say one thing to Square Enix,
I’d tell them resurrect Chrono Trigger like a Phoenix
Down, and if that happened then I would think I’m dreaming
And then I’d get excited and vomit like Willie Beamen.
if the proceeds still go to Extra Life but it is still worth a download.
So great that someone was inspired from one of my favorite games of all time and still being inspired by it today to create amazing songs.
. . .
For the past few nights, I’ve been having trouble sleeping, I’ve been looking up end songs to some of my favorite RPGs over the years.
Legend of Mana –
Thanks to Whoomp VIdya Gaems, for hosting the video!
Song of Mana is sung by Annika Ljungberg.
Star Ocean 2 –
Thanks to Hells616 for hosting this video!
I had like eight save files just so I can play with all the characters and have legitimate teams. I’m sure I four Claude teams and four Rena teams. I want to say I stuck with Rena’s side more, she had Dias.
Man, that’s the game I started my gaming food of yogurt cover raisins and apple juice and just play into the wee hours of the morning. Oh, to be a kid again! Now, I just obsess over my old RPGs, wish that I could play them again and relive the adventure.
That reminded me of Star Ocean 3 : Till The End of Time –
Thanks to Xygor for hosting both videos.
The second one features the song, The Small Bird That Forgot How To Fly” (飛び方を忘れた小さな鳥, Tobikata Wo Wasureta Chiisana Tori) by Misia. Thanks to the Wikipedia page for providing that sentence.
How great is Nel Zelpher in that game? She’s simply the best! I remember buying a game guide for this game and finding out ahead of time that there is a way to not recruit her and I was super worried about messing that up. As I really wanted to keep her on my team, she was by far the best character.
Look at those sweet moves! Thanks to MeykTaruka for hosting that video! Sadly, YouTube doesn’t just have scores of scores of videos about Nel.
. . .
Last night, I was watching these videos, and jumped from those videos to my excitement of FLCL getting brought back for a second and third season. So I thought I’ll look up FLCL best moments or something, to relive the story without having to watch all six episodes. Which I’ve done and I love that show, like crazy, but I didn’t have it available to watch super late at night.
Unfortunately, I didn’t see any videos that really had a Top 10 Moments or anything.
I did find this video –
Thanks to akidearest for hosting her video. I was surprised I only knew like three items on there.
Her comment about the Pillows’ music video for Ride On Shooting Star, made me want to watch that video.
Thanks to KING RECORDS for hosting that video.
That video is all types of nuts!
Gosh, I just love the Pillows and can’t believe I haven’t actually seen them before. They are coming back for the additional two seasons, as well.
Then I looked up Pillows English Song and wasn’t surprised they hadn’t recorded any songs in English (why would they, they are amazing!) but somehow I went from that search to Chrono Trigger Rap. Then I made this post!
. . .
Typing about my love for that game, MatPat over at his Game Theory YouTube channel has created two Chrono Trigger videos –
Is Chrono Trigger ‘s Time Travel Accurate?
Now, this was his very first video, so the humor is there but the production isn’t quite there. But there is a charm there that one can (and did) build an empire on top of.
The other video is Chrono Trigger Retells the Bible!?!
Which I hadn’t seen until last night.
MatPat’s channel name is, The Game Theorists
A while back, I came across the Completionist’s video for Chrono Trigger, as it was his 200th completed game –
and spent some time going through his channel afterwards. I like him too but I haven’t played nearly enough games that he has but he has covered quite a few that I’ve played.
His channel is, That One Video Gamer
. . .
Which finally, brings me to Chrono Cross.
If you want to lose a week’s worth of your life, please check out this incredible website –
So much thinking and thoughts have gone into and out of that website!
Here is Chrono Cross’ Final Song –
Thanks to BigTimeHacker for hosting the song.
The song is Radical Dreamers – Unstolen Jewel, sung by Norko Mitose.
Which the visuals there made me want to watch a gameplay footage video. Instead of following that instinct, I choose to see if anyone wanted to try to explain to me the timelines for Chrono Cross, as I felt like that’s what YouTube should be for, explaining timelines in video games from 2000.
Thanks for hosting the video, Terracorrupt!
So that was pretty much like two hours of thoughts. Then, of course, I was writing this post in my head, and that’s when I feel asleep.
This post a little longer than I was originally expecting to make it but I sort of wanted to get all of my thoughts on Chrono Trigger out of the way. Well, the thoughts that got me down the YouTube rabbit hole, anyway, as I could talk about the game for hours.
. . .
Last night, I discovered that Richie Branson is on Pandora, so you can hear his music there, if you would like.
Thanks to io9’s Charles Pullian-Moore for writing such great reviews of the convention, I felt like I was there. Also, the studios releasing the trailers pretty quickly, helped too.
I’m going to post links to the days and trailers and offer my opinions on what I thought about what I found interesting.
Noah Hawley, of the incredible Legion show fame (and even more fame with Fargo) is going to bring Doctor Doom to theaters. I imagine the Fantastic Four, or at the very least, Reed Richards, will appear in the film. I still say that a West Wing style Doctor Doom show (or film) could be very good. Maybe he’ll cast Rachel Keller in some role for this. Legion Season Two will be ten episodes, as opposed to eight episodes, which I’m all for.
Batman 32 will have Catwoman’s response to Batman’s wedding proposal. I’m all for these two getting married. I want more heroes to be married and have children. I’m married and I have a child, and my life is so much better now.
I wish the Ninja Ghostbuster Turtles didn’t have the hair, how much better would that have looked? I do love the concept of mixing these two franchises together, in toy form. I just don’t think they needed the extra step.
This looks like so much fun! We are almost done with Daredevil Season Two and still have Luke Cage and Iron Fist to watch, so it’ll be a while before we’re ready for this.
Misty Knight, from Luke Cage, will be coming over to Iron Fist’s second season. That show has Colleen Wing already so let’s hope that we get a Daughters of the Dragon spinoff out of that! That’s all I really want. That and an official Heroes for Hire season of Luke Cage and Iron Fist together. I take it that, with the low reviews Iron Fist gets, that Luke Cage doesn’t appear in it. That’s what I’m guessing.
The new X-Men show, Gifted, got a trailer – a long trailer.
Thanks to Marvel Entertainment for hosting this trailer.
We just started Season Five of Person of Interest (the final season) and I’m glad I can go from that show to this show for my Amy Acker needs. She’s so great on that show. It has to be super awkward when Stephen Moyer leaves home for the set, right? Like, are they going to ask him to see if his lovely wife, Anna Paquin, can make an appearance? I keep having that through in regards to Carrie Preston’s appearances on Person of Interest. Like, they ask Michael Emerson if his lovely wife can come for a few episodes and she said, “sure, why not.”
I need to get Walker Dennis into Big Hero 6 but we don’t have Disney XD, so I’ll probably hold off on that, for now.
Todd MacFarlane, Kevin Smith and Blumhouse Productions is bringing Spawn to teathers, so MacFarlane’s like 20 year mission for a R-Rated Spawn film might be getting closer to becoming a reality.
Thanks to Marvel Entertainment for hosting this trailer.
So much love for this trailer! What I enjoyed the most was hearing Hulk talk! That’s character development! They are both like fire, Hulk is raging fire and Thor is more like a smoldering fire. So incredible! It makes sense that Mark Ruffalo is in this but I thought there might be a chance where he wasn’t going to be in the film.
Still no Black Panther trailer nor Infinity Wars trailers! I was really hoping for that Infinity War trailer, that’s what made me keep checking out YouTube around 10 at night, each night this weekend.
Not thrilled that Captain Marvel is taking place in the 90s, thus pre-Iron Man. So they are going to have to age her for Infinity War or put Brie Larson in ice to explain the lack of aging? That seems silly. I like a two-eyed Nick Fury in this (he’s definitely losing one of those!) and the Skulls being in this. I wonder what FOX got so that Marvel could get the Fantastic Four alien race? The article implies that it is a “shared custody” issue like Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.
Oh man! Michele Pfeiffer is going to be Janet Van Dyne, the Wasp! We have to get footage of her in any sort of Wasp uniform, that would be incredible! We never got a good or proper shot of Michael Douglas as old school Ant Man, right? They won’t make that mistake with Pfeiffer, that’s for sure. Oh, and Laurence Fishburne is the Ant Man and Wasp film as Bill Foster. Good thing Marvel already made Civil War.
The Justice League trailer came out!
Thanks to Warner Bros. Pictures for hosting the video.
JK Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, I can get behind that! I like the Flash not getting the memo on disappearing at the dramatic act break of a conversation. Still not loving that costume. Looking at the Wikipedia page for the film –
William Dafoe is an adviser to Aquaman! That’s two Raimi Spider-Man cast members in this film!
Amy Adams will be in this too! I did like the ending “non-reveal” of who Gordon is talking to. That’s a nice touch.
The Flash film is set to adapt Flashpoint, which seems pretty lofty for two hours. Also, so odd to not just use the CW shows’ cast members if storylines are already going to be recycled. Feels like a mess already in the making.
I’m excited about Batman by Gaslight being adapted for an animated film. Seems fast, but they are going full two films like Dark Knight Returns with Death and Return of Superman. I liked Doomsday but if they want to expand it, I’m all for that too. So much was left out of that first attempt. Though Louise Simonson’s story still brings a slight tear to my eye.
Thanks to gameraspinning for hosting this video.
It really made me think about Ma Kent during that storyline, like I’ve never given it much thought before. I want more creator retrospectives on these DVD releases or just plain documentaries. I would watch those so hard!
I still need to read Ready Player One
Thanks to Movieclips Trailers for hosting that video!
They were nice enough to leave a comment about the Easter eggs:
Deadpool/Harley :34, Iron Giant :45, Freddy 1:00, Duke Nukem 1:01, DeLorean 1:43, Ben Mendelsohn 1:48
I caught the Iron Giant cameo, on my own and that was Deadpool and Harley Quinn, so that’s cool. I should read the book. I know Rob and Brian with the Uncanny X-Cast loved the book and my friend, Ben Tiller, liked it too.
Flash Season Four trailer!
Thanks to The CW Television Network for hosting this trailer.
So what type of Nega-Barry is going to show up? I like them handling Iris having to deal with losing her fiance. Caitlin having a larger role, is nice too. I keep wanting to watch the Arrow one but I don’t want spoilers as I heard that season finale got intense.
Supergirl Season Three Trailer!
Thanks again to The CW Television Network for hosting this trailer!
Kara Danvers : No More!
Here is the CBR article that I read after the season two finale to help explain who that was at the end of that episode –
I like Adrian Pasdar being in this, he was one of my favorites in Heroes and Agents of SHIELD. We’re getting some DC and Marvel two-timers going on here.
The Krypton trailer didn’t reveal much. Still an odd concept for the show, that I thought for sure would just fade away. Is Syfy Channel still a thing? It’ll be like if Gotham featured Thomas Wayne’s college years, for how far removed this is.
Riverdale Season 2 trailer.
Thanks to Entertainment Tonight for hosting this trailer. Seems like an odd choice though.
I’m so pumped for this show to return, that it is crazy!
Strangers Things 2 trailer.
Thanks to Netflix for hosting this video!
There are going to be lots of people super tired on Wednesday, November 1! I know I’m already tempted to take that day to recover.
Star Trek Discovery trailer.
Thanks to Star Trek for hosting their own video.
This show looks like it is going to be pretty awesome! I wish it wasn’t going to look that great, as it doesn’t feel like it leads into The Original Series, as it takes place ten years prior to their first mission. What happens wherein Starfleet goes so retro? At least Jonathan Archer and his Enterprise stories are still in continuity – that’s what really matters. I’m still hoping that we get plenty of Jason Isaacs as the Captain, it feels weird to not have a Captain-Centric Trek series. It reminds me of what the original plan for the West Wing was, but then Martin Sheen committed to more episodes and we got the terrific show that we got.
Orville Trailer.
Thanks to FOX for hosting this video.
I was luke warm on the concept of this show, it could be fantastic like Galaxy Quest, or some show that would be a footnote in Star Trek parodies. This looks like Seth McFarlane having a lot of fun and now I’m looking forward to this. I didn’t realize Seth and Todd spelled their last names the same.
I’m so out of touch that I don’t recognize any of the projects, outside of character names but I do know creators still. Which is nice. Even nicer is Jill Thompson winning two awards! Saga is still popular. Todd Klein (no relation) is still slaying it with lettering. I bet that Chip Zardsky Jughead series is pretty fun. I do like The AV Club, I don’t go there as often as I probably should.
I’m super interested in Ed Piskor’s X-Men : Grand Design, especially as Kitty Pryde would definitely be present for that! Lockheed and Magik too! 30 Years of X-Men, Uncanny X-Men 1 through Uncanny X-Men 280, condensed into 300 pages. Sign me up!
Harley Quinn Day is replacing Batman Day, September 23, this year. Which seems pretty dumb to me. Is she really that popular of a character? I mean, I like her, and I’ve heard she is DC’s Deadpool but this blows my mind. The character turns 25 this year, so I guess it is an anniversary year for her.
Charles Pulliam-Moore is back at the writer of the article.
The Doctor Who Christmas 2017 Trailer!
Thanks to Doctor Who for hosting this video!
I love this concept so much! From the casting of it to the general overall feeling of the trailer itself. The article states that Mark Gatiss is not portraying Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart, as that’s who I thought he was playing. He’s a World War I Captain, which I wouldn’t have noticed on my own. Should be a great time! I still haven’t watched any additional Doctor Who since my last post on the topic. I need to get caught up! David Bradley is the modern day William Hartnell!
This is the Avengers Infinity Poster –
That is beautiful!
Ryan Meinerding is the painter of that poster. He’s the current Marvel Studios Head of Visual Development.
So sales are down for both Marvel and DC. That’s pretty interesting. I imagine the closing of stores like Hastings, probably plays some part in that, as I know it took me out of the game.
Frank Miller is giving Superman the Year One treatment. Not sure if that’s necessary.
The Terrifics is a bit on the nose, sure—Plastic Man’s got Reed’s stretch abilities, Phantom Girl can go intangible and phase through objects like Sue, Metamorpho has the same sort of appearance issues that have plagued Ben Grimm over the years—but hey.
Mr. Terrific is the Human Torch, I guess? I’m all for Phantom Girl having a larger role in the DCU, outside of the Legion of Superheroes.
Such a fun concept!
It really reminds me of when DC released their “Invasion” trade and wrote “Secret No More” on the cover – poking fun of then Marvel’s current Secret Invasion storyline. I miss that fun rivalry.
I’m sure I’m missing a bunch of stuff and YouTube hasn’t presented me with any panel coverage like they did last year. I guess I can look up which panels happened this year and see if any footage found its way onto YouTube but I feel like I got the larger pieces of news.
If anyone has anything I should look at, please let me know!
. . .
I went looking for some comic news, on my own, and found Newsarama’s X-Men Inhumans ResurrXion panel coverage –
As I’m sure most people know, Peter Capaldi is out as the 12th Doctor. Replacing him, is Jodi Whittaker, an actress I’m not that familiar with. Not like I’ve been that familiar with most of the Doctor actors prior to their casting. Well, besides Christopher Eccleston and John Hurt. Oh, and Paul McCann, but I knew him mostly from hassling Christopher O’Donnell in the always amazing to rewatch, The Three Musketeers.
I have no problem, at all, with a lady being the Doctor. Wouldn’t it have been awesome though, if it was a complete surprise, come Christmas 2017. I guess we have five months to forget the news, but we would be reminded of the casting choice again, before then. Gosh, is Christmas just five months away? Ooof! Walker Dennis is a December baby, so December is pretty tight for us. Lots of planning goes into making both his birthday and Christmas a thing to do. Being in Montana, also means we have to really plan where to host a birthday party too.
I’ve been a fan of Doctor Who ever since I saw it on PBS with my parents, in the 80s. Probably why my favorite Doctor will always be Peter Davison, the 5th Doctor. Especially when people want to talk about Tom Baker, the fourth (and without doubt, the most famous version of the Doctor – prior to the relaunch) Doctor but I like Davison so much more. It helps that he is the star of The Five Doctors, and I’m a sucker for any story that involves multiple-Doctors.
It wasn’t until a few years ago when I thought about my origins with the franchise when I doubted if I watched Doctor Who on PBS, in the way that I thought I did. I recall watching it on PBS, with my parents. But if you look at when Davison was the 5th Doctor, he’s tenure was 1982 through 1984. Which I was born in 1982, so I must have watched reruns on PBS. Most likely, I just saw my father’s tapes of the program. My father was huge on recording everyone on VHS, back in the day.
I was a little late coming back with the 9th Doctor, as I couldn’t watch it anywhere. I’m sure Hulu had it before Netflix did (now Amazon has it) and that’s when I caught up with the show. I’ve really liked the new show. With their production schedules, I saw the Season 8 finale, and the Christmas episode but did not come back for the 9th season. Until this news broke, and then I relooked it up and Amazon has the series. I saw the Magician’s Apprentice and I’m going to try to catch up with all of season nine, hopefully soon. I was missing it already but learning that it isn’t just Capaldi’s final season but also Steven Moffat’s final season too. Well, ten is their final season, and that just wrapped up. I read the episode list for season ten and that final moment sounds so amazingly fun that I have to try to get caught up. I’m sure it’ll cost me actual money to watch season ten, so I’ll just wait until it is free with Amazon Prime (if it isn’t already).
I’m going to really miss Jenna Louis Coleman as Clara, she’s up there with Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) as a great companion to the Doctor.
Here are two Wikipedia Pages that will cost you a full day of temptation to keep opening links.
For the companions of the original series, I’m a big fan of Jo Grant (Katy Manning), Peri Brown (Nicola Bryant) and of course, Sarah Jane Smith (the legend, Elisabeth Sladen). I do like how how the companions make the Doctor transition work as smooth as it does.
My mother was always a fan of the 2nd Doctor’s companion, Jamie. Kilt and all.
My parents were huge fans of the show and even my Aunt Denise (my mother’s twin sister) was a huge fan too.
There has been fun projects like the charity event, The Curse of the Fatal Death –
Here is the page that explains how the zaniness that went into this! Moffat was always a fan. This takes place but does not take place, between Doctors 7 and 8, before the American attempt to relaunch the series.
It boosts a very impressive cast of actors portraying the Doctor –
Rowan Atkinson (Ninth Doctor)
Richard E. Grant (Tenth Doctor)
Jim Broadbent (Eleventh Doctor)
Hugh Grant (Twelfth Doctor)
Joanna Lumley (Thirteenth Doctor)
That’s right, Jodi Whittaker is really the second woman to portray the Doctor! Hugh Grant probably could make a grand Doctor too, if he wanted to.
Apparently I should watch Broadchurch Season One as it has Whittaker as the mother of the missing boy and, of course, David Tennant (the 10th Doctor) in it. My wife really liked the show. I believe she watched the FOX version, that also stars Tennant, and saw the first episode of the BBC one and it was so similiar she didn’t need to watch a second episode. I’ll go BBC, of course, so I can see Whittaker as an actress. I’ve read that I should check out Venus, a movie she did back in the day.
Referring to charity specials, I’m sure this is the one that finally convinced me to watch the relaunch series.
Thanks to Hollie Bird for hosting this one, it was the best one I could find. There used to be a legit version, like a year ago.
I’m sure people have written about this before, but I’ll write it here too, as I’m trying to make this my initial Doctor Who post that just covered all of my thoughts on the franchise (or most of them, at least).
But David Tennant is a smart man, so his favorite Doctor was also the 5th one. Davison’ daughter, Georgia Moffett, starred in an episode titled “The Doctor’s Daughter” during Tennant’s tenure. They met, fell in love, got married and now have three children together. So that is super fun and makes me smile as the chances of all of that happening are insane!
Here is a video of all the Regenerations –
Thanks to Doctor Who again for hosting their own video.
So happy that we finally got to see McGann’s regeneration. I still wish they had him be the Doctor during the Time War but if John Hurt agrees to do your show, you take that opportunity!
Reading more about the season 10 finale, so much fun that they got David Bradley to portray the First Doctor, like how he did for the incredible An Adventure in Space and Time. Well, he portrayed William Hartnell, the actor who started this entire odyssey but its really one and the same.
Looking at the other videos that Doctor Who has up on YouTube, I wanted to point out, when I mention Joanna Lumley above, that they had already made The Master a woman, the very fun Michelle Gomez as Missy (short for Mistress, the female Master – so clever!).
I might have to say Tennant is my favorite of the modern Doctors, the more I think about how many awesome adventures he had.
That 50th Anniversary lead up and the episode itself, was pretty amazing and really was a present for the fans.
My sister-in-law and my wife tried to watch the show, I forget who finally convinced them to give it a shot. I kept telling them, don’t give up on the show until the episode “Dalek” as that is really the first episode of the relaunch that dives into the mythos plus it reintroduces the Doctor’s greatest (and my favorite) villain, the Daleks. I love those guys! The Master is probably my second favorite, as I’m crazy for Evil Opposites.
Watch the below for some of the greatest trash talk as the Daleks belittle the Cybermen –
Thanks to minetruly for hosting the video.
-You are superior in only one respect
-What is that?
-You are better at dying.
So great! I had the dumbest and widest smile when I heard that.
That’s from Doomsday, and Tennant had the best season finales.
Oh man, this show introduced me to John Barrowman, well me and the rest of the world. Such an amazing actor!
I haven’t seen any episodes of Torchwood nor Sarah Jane Chronicles, but I really should.
K9, the Doctor’s robot dog companion, such a great addition to the show.
You really can tell any story that you want with Doctor Who – ultra serious, silly comedy, any time period, any planet – there are no rules.
Have I really written 1457 words regarding Doctor Who and not once mention the TARDIS! Time and Relative Dimension in Space, so great! My favorite way to travel through space and time. That classic console room, with the spheres, such a great design. Glad they were able to add those back in for the 50th Anniversary Special, even if it was just for a moment. The Day of the Doctor, I really should use the proper title.
I recall Conan, back on his Late Late Show days of NBC, had a parade of characters and one of them was something along the lines of “your uncle who still is into Doctor Who” and that guy was dressed with the classic 4th Doctor, five yard long scarf.
I do like how all the Doctors have their own specific wardrobes and such.
For a franchise that is now 52 years old, they are still doing an outstanding job keeping it current and hip.
I am surprised they went with a woman Doctor before going with a different nationality male Doctor, good for them though, either way.
I still remember when the Doctor was supposed to turn into the Valeyard from the Trial of a Time Lord, the Sixth Doctor storyline. That concept has stuck with me, over all of these years. The Doctor’s evil personality that comes between his 12th and final, 13th incarnation.
But if you count the War Doctor, and we have to at this point, 12 is really 13 so he’s on super borrowed time. Unless they just keep injecting him with additional life or some timey wimey nonsensical silliness. They can really do anything they want, at this point.
Another reason to watch Broadchurch, is that creator, Chris Chibnall, is the new showrunner, so Jodi Whittaker should be in great hands. Does she get a male companion? All lady companions? There are a slew of questions that need to be answered. I’m sure her first season is going to run the gauntlet of all the classic villains, just to get their take on his new female body. Which, I would really like most of them to just shrug it off.
Romana, a fellow time lord, and her second incarnation (Lalla Ward) married fourth Doctor, Tom Baker, for a few years. There was an episode where she burnt through like six of her incarnations, and they were mostly all alien types.
I should mention the spin offs of Doctor Who, including the Big Finish Productions Audio Adventures. I’ve never heard any of them, but they do have quite a few multi-Doctor adventures. The only book I’ve read is The Eight Doctors by Terrance Dicks – also a mutli-Doctor adventure. Which makes sense, it is essentially printing money.
Now that I know how to link to the templates, here is all of the Multi-Doctor stories –
Just like LOST, whenever I finish an episode of Doctor Who, I have to go to the Wikipedia page to see if I missed any of the continuity nods or allusions. That’s how I’m wired.
Gobbledy Gosh! Disney really brought the entertainment this year at their specialty convention.
So I’m just going to go down the above website and hit the news I have an opinion on.
. . .
Still not sure how I feel about Toy Story 4. 3 was such an amazing experience and thought it concluded nicely. I get that there is money left on the table, but sometimes, one leaves that money there.
Wreck It Ralph 2 – took me forever to watch the first one. I do love that scene with Bowser and the other villains. Such a popular scene, that they are bringing a version of that back, but with the Disney Princesses.
My wife is excited that Jodi Benson is coming back, I believe she has voiced Ariel in everything since 1989. That’s dedication! I found an image that has the princesses over their heads, that’s nice that someone did that. Not sure who the original photographer was or who made the edit.
Someone should make a live action movie with these ladies in it. Comic Book : The Movie was amazing for using almost all voice actors as the main cast. Wish Mark Hamill could make that other movie he wanted to do, essentially doing the same thing with a live action film but casting voice actors. Maybe I’ll try to be in that one too.
I’m super interested in Incredibles 2, that should be super fun!
My wife is happy with the Wrinkle in Time – a book series I’ve never heard of.
More Live Action Remakes of Disney films. Dumbo, Aladdin and The Lion King. I’m not excited that Tim Burton is directing Dumbo, my all time favorite Classic Disney Animated Film. Not a big fan of his Alice in Wonderland.
How can it be better than Dumbo’s Circus, from 1985!?!
Thanks to Nostalgia Nancy for hosting the first episode. That took me back!
I also feel like Will Smith as the Genie, not a great decision but I haven’t really sought out any of this live action remakes. Finally saw the Jungle Book on Netflix, it was okay. Favreau is back for Lion King.
I’m all types of pumped for Star Wars : The Last Jedi, especially after Freddie Prinze Jr. mention how Jedi is one of those words that is spelled the same plural-ed as it is singular.
Avengers : Infinity War, oh man, when that trailer is finally released (hopefully next week for Comic Con) that is going to be watched so much! Sounds like everyone is back for this, like everyone! Kevin Feige made a point of saying “nearly every hero character we introduced is back for this” so I’m not sure who is missing. Some were not there on the stage, but their characters were named as having roles in the film – so we can’t judge that. Glad Doctor Strange is going to be in this, as I checked after we finally saw his film, and there was no hint that he was scheduled to be in another film.
Gosh, when I read that link the night before, I thought this was going to be a longer post.
ANAHEIM, CA – JULY 15: (L-R) Actors Sebastian Stan, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Josh Brolin, and Chris Hemsworth, producer Kevin Feige, and actors Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Tom Holland, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Don Cheadle, and Anthony Mackie of AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR took part today in the Walt Disney Studios live action presentation at Disney’s D23 EXPO 2017 in Anaheim, Calif. AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR will be released in U.S. theaters on May 4, 2018. (Photo by Jesse Grant/Getty Images for Disney)
That’s nice that WordPress forces that above copy into the link. I would have done if I had known the correct format and who took the picture.
I’m a sucker for these giant cast pictures. Ever since that very first Avengers SDCC picture.
The Children of Thanos are going to be in this and it sounded like those children come from the Black Vortex crossover, so that is fun. Shame they can’t get Kitty Pryde or Ellen Page (or both!) to be in this movie.
So for the past maybe two years, I’ve been making Sunday dinners. On an occasion, I’ll make an impromptu weeknight dinner. I’ve really liked cooking, something I really should have done sooner in my life. It is super relaxing and I have always been a fan of an activity that you have a clear result after completing it.
To make things even more fun, our three year old son, Walker Dennis, has really started helping with the prep work, and he’s super cute when he does it.
I thought it might be worth it to start tracking what these dinners are, as a few of them, I’ve gone back to create. I figure I’ll just start with this past Sunday’s dinner and go from there.
From the base recipe, I made some changes. Usually, that change would be to add onions – which I didn’t do this time.
There is a note to double the sauce, and so that’s what I did.
I added two cups of heavy cream, which we ended up buying a pint of heavy cream and a pint is essentially two cups and a bit more (which isn’t very technical, so they went with “pint”).
I changed it to 1 tablespoon, maybe a bit more, of garlic powder.
I changed it to a cup of Parmesan cheese.
Then for the spinach, it had to be two cups of spinach but after that, I quit chopping them and just tearing the spinach down the middle and putting the bigger pieces in the sauce. That way, we could still see the spinach and the smaller pieces kept blending in.
I also added at least one cup of sun dried tomatoes, probably was closer to two cups but I should have stuck with the one cup.
My problem was, following the direction, that it looked like white chicken, in a white sauce on white penne pasta. So I wanted to get some color in there so I added larger pieces of spinach and a cup more of sun dried tomatoes.
We really like it, my wife thought it needed some panchetta bacon – which probably could be added to more recipes.
oh, and we always do chicken thighs as opposed to chicken breasts – that’s how we cluck.
Does anyone else ever want to spell it “receipes” or is that just me? Autocorrect wants to keep fixing it for me but I see that it is incorrect. It feels like it should have three e’s in it.
Kitty Pryde was given her own template on Wikipedia, that’s pretty cool!
I was trying to figure out who originally created it but I can’t figure that out.
Oh, I was looking up to see how well received Days of Future Past was, as I downloaded the code for the Rogue Cut onto our Vudu account. Something I didn’t really pay that close attention to, in the past. It look like 30 minutes to upload our 20 or so codes.
Is there a way to reapply for Deadpool and Big Hero 6 codes? I’m not sure what happen to our inserts but we no longer have the slips, so I can’t get credit for it. Anyone know if I can provide the UPC and maybe a picture of it, to someone, and get a new code? That would be nice.
So I went and checked Lockheed and Magik’s pages. They don’t have their own templates yet.
Lockheed is still listed under Members of the X-Men template, between Lifeguard and Longshot.
Magik on the other hand, is involved in a couple templates.
X-Men Template, as a Member, between Maggot and Magma
New Mutants Template, as a Later Recruit, between Magma and Cypher. At least it is in order of appearance unlike the X-Men template. Which makes sense as they are a smaller group. Seems odd to not include those three as Original Members, including Warlock. I would start the “later recruits” page with Bird-brain, if it was me. I guess it is interesting to note which five started the series, they did that with the X-Men template. To me, though, the team isn’t really the New Mutants without someone or two of the later recruits – such as Magik and Doug.
Mystical Marvel Entities Template, under Demons, between Llan and Kazaan – two characters I’m not familiar with, at all. Llan the Sorcerer was an Alpha Flight foe and Kazaan appeared in Fear Itself but starting out as a Ghost Rider villain.
Grigori Rasputin in Popular Culture, under Comics, and between her two older brothers – Colossus and Mikhail Rasputin.
Lockheed is in the animatic for the New Mutants film, along with Magik.
I’ll believe it once I see actual footage of him, in the film. I am all for this though and I’m sure they’ll eventually work him over to Kitty Pryde but I’m super fine with him being associated with Magik, as well.
Anya Taylor-Joy is going to portray Magik in the movie, I’m not that familiar with her. I haven’t seen The Witch but I’m following it on Roku so I can watch it once it arrives on one of our subscription channels.
She’s one of the gals in Split, a movie I really want to watch now that I heard about the ending of that film.
I was hoping to find a sweet picture of her that would show her as being a great Magik but I’m not finding one.
Someone was nice enough to put them together in the same image. I can’t tell who did it originally. I’m just adding to those who have done it. If anyone knows, I would love to give the first person credit. Seems like there isn’t that many great images of her to choose from.
To try to end on a more Kitty Pryde related note, Ellen Page is going to be in the Flatliners sequel, which looks intense!
Thanks to FilmSelect Trailer for hosting the video!
The trailer makes the film look so good. I’m a huge fan of the original, that cast was amazing back then. Time will tell if anyone besides Ellen Page makes a third film after this. Well, I recognize Nina Dobrev from all of the Vampire Diaries that my wife watched. But are they going to reach the fame of Kiefer Sutherland, Julia Roberts, Kevin Bacon, William Baldwin, Olivier Platt!?! Oh and Hope Davis is in that original film too! There was like 30 movies that I watched simply because it had Olivier Platt in it. I’ll still watch an Olivier Platt film, as I’m such a fan of his. Those original five cast members, well besides maybe William Baldwin being the weakest link in it, are all pretty incredible.
That Rogue Cut of Days of Future Past, it is like an hour before any of that footage shows up but I really like how they intercut the two Magnetos getting Rogue in the future and getting his helmet in the past. Shame that didn’t make it to the final cut.
Searching YouTube, one video actually has the New Mutants animatic in it –
I’ll have to listen to the audio once I get a moment but it takes place between the 5:45 and 6:45 mark. Magik, Lockheed and the Demon Bear!
Thanks to Emergency Awesome for hosting the video.
Wikipedia doesn’t have a page for the New Mutants film, yet, but that seems odd, right? Most films get pages created as soon as one actor is attached to a project.
Pushing the bar along to find the clip I wanted, I was reminded that James McAvoy and Anya Taylor-Joy are both in Split, so I really do need to make a point of watching that film. It appears that she’s the main girl of the three, for the film.
For some reason, it wasn’t easy to find the link to the New Mutants Film Wikipedia page –
Maybe I clicked the character Magik or the New Mutants comics page was linked and not the film but the film page does exist. That makes more sense.
Wish Doug was in the film, I’m sure he’ll probably get name checked or have someone make a comment about his existence. He’s so easy to adapt.
April 13, 2018 is such a long time for that film!
For that Kitty Pryde template, Pete Wisdom really should be added to it. I’m not sure if I should be the guy to try to figure out how to do it but it isn’t done in a month, I’ll probably take the time to figure out how to add him. Seems odd to not to include him under Supporting Characters. Under Publications, should have Mekanix and Shadow and Flame. Mekanix does have its own page, so that’ll be easy to add but Shadow and Flame doesn’t – as far as I can tell. Does adding those two items to the template, automatically puts the template on those two pages? I’ll try to figure that out, too. I imagine they do sync together, eventually.
Poor Pete isn’t even listed on the Excalibur Template! That’s just bonkers!
I guess they don’t sync as Lockheed is clearly listed on the Kitty Pryde template and the Excalibur template but neither one is on his proper page.
I’m confronted with the thought about wanting to add Rachel and Magik to her Supporting Characters list but then does one add Kurt? Criminy! Lockheed isn’t listed as a supporting character of her’s. It must be a brand new template.
If I knew how to do it from the very beginning, I would create that Shadow and Flame miniseries page on Wikipedia too, but that takes a bunch of work that I’m not sure I can commit too. But now that it is an idea in my head, I might end up trying to do it. Can’t be that hard to do. At least, I can create the frame of it and see how much more detailed I can make it. It just has to be the same quality that Mekanix was.
Wolverine : First Class would be another swell publication addition.
She should probably also get a Creators line too, like how the X-Men have that. Gosh, I guess I might end up updating all of this onto her template, but I’ll let the idea rattle around so that if I do attempt to tackle it, I do it properly.
Jack Blades of Night Ranger, Damn Yankees and Shaw Blades
Deen Castronovo of Journey, Ozzy Osbourne, Bad English and Hardline
Doug Aldrich of Whitesnake, Dio, Lion, Bad Moon Rising and Burning Rain
So that’s pretty cool. Another cool thing is that this band as a drummer who is also the lead singer. How many bands have that? I can only think of five.
Band – Levon Helm
Carpenters – Karen Carpenters
Eagles – Don Henley
Genesis – Phil Collins
Monkees – Micky Dolenz
Unless you don’t consider Micky the lead of the Monkees, I can understand if you believe Davy Jones was the lead or the face of the group. I’m willing to go with them both being co-leads.
Thanks to YouTuber HouseOfChtchon for hosting this video!
So, back in 2007, Midnight Clear won CBS’ Early Show’s Living Room . . . LIVE! contest. The winning group, Midnight Clear, performed the song and from time to time, I still remember it.
