SECRET WARS #3 (OF 8)
JONATHAN HICKMAN
• ESAD RIBIC (a)
ALL THE DEVILS DANCE!
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
SECRET WARS #4 (OF 8)
JONATHAN HICKMAN
• ESAD RIBIC (a)
ALL THE ANGELS SING!
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
I am super curious, with all of the side miniseries (and there are so many of them!) how the main event is going to keep it all going.
THORS #1
JASON AARON
• CHRISTOPHER SPROUSE (a/C)
• The Thors of every domain, together in one book! As cosmic cops!
•Whenever there’s trouble on Battleworld, the Thors answer the call. But a string of mysterious murders leaves some of them asking questions that may unravel all of reality!
•A hard-hitting Marvel Comics police drama. With hammers. Lots and lots of hammers.
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
I do like how Throg is going to be a part of this! At the very least, should be in the background of a few panels.
ULTIMATE END #2 (OF 5)
BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS
• MARK BAGLEY (a/C)
THE LAST ULTIMATES STORY BY THE GROUND-BREAKING UNIVERSE’S FOUNDING FATHERS!
• The countdown has begun
• An end of an era
• Who will survive?
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
Ultimate End having the same creative team as Cataclysm, really points out how much of a missed opportunity Cataclysm was, right?

Art by Yasmine Putri
STAR-LORD AND KITTY PRYDE #1
SAM HUMPHRIES
• ALTI FIRMANSYAH (a)
Cover by YASMINE PUTRI
VARIANT COVER BY TBA
• STAR-LORD AND KITTY PRYDE–finally in their own series together! But are they TOGETHER together?! And is this the Kitty Pryde that Peter loves or one from a completely different reality.
• This series takes place right in the thick of things on BATTLEWORLD and is sure to be a wild ride!
32 PGS./Rated T …$3.99
I can only imagine I am going to want that Variant cover! So excited bout this series and how Humphries is going to bring back Age of Apocalypse Shadowcat!
MASTER OF KUNG FU #2 (OF 4)
HADEN BLACKMAN
• DALIBOR TALAJIC (a)
Cover by FRANCESCO FRANCAVILLA
VILLAINOUS BETRAYAL! MARTIAL ARTS MASTERY! KUNG-FU ACTION!
• Shang-Chi may have found a new home with the Lower Caste, but can he keep them safe?
• Can Shang-Chi keep his vow of peace?
• Will Laughing Skull laugh last? Or will Shang-Chi kick that smile right off his face?!
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
I’m glad that I sort of switched to Hastings, as it was only a difference of savings of forty cents – which does add up – but I imagine I’m not going to actually need every issue of some of these series. Star Lord and Kitty Pryde, for sure but these types of minis, I imagine I don’t.
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN:
RENEW YOUR VOWS #1 & #2
DAN SLOTT
• ADAM KUBERT (a/C)
THE LAST SPIDER-MAN STORY
• Not even The Amazing Spider-Man is safe from Secret Wars! In this new Marvel Universe, Peter Parker, Mary Jane Watson and their daughter have to scrape by to make ends meet, but they have each other…
• Face front, True Believers. This is the one you’ve been asking for.
32 PGS. (EACH)/Rated T …$3.99 (EACH)
This, I’m somewhat curious about, as it seems to be the fix that I’ve had with Peter Parker ever since One More Day. Though I’m still super interested in getting some Superior Spider-Man trades.
A-FORCE #2
MARGUERITE BENNETT & G. WILLOW WILSON
JORGE MOLINA (a/C)
• With monsters appearing on the utopian island of Arcadia and threatening its inhabitants, She-Hulk and her team of Avengers set out to discover the source.
• But when they stumble upon a conspiracy that reaches far beyond Arcadia, She-Hulk may just find herself on the wrong side of the law!
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
I knew the second cover would have the official team, so this series looks like I’ll be skipping it. Spider-Gwen, Rogue, Pixie, Spider-Woman, Old School Dazzler, She-Hulk and a short haired brunette, is a decent mixture of characters.
GIANT-SIZE LITTLE MARVEL: AVX #1
SKOTTIE YOUNG
• SKOTTIE YOUNG (a/C)
• The toughest, funniest, craziest and most adorable Marvel heroes THROW DOWN.
• Featuring all your favorites including Cyclops, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Wolverine! They’re all there, just shorter!
• Skottie Young brings out the big guns in the series fans have been waiting for!
32 PGS./Rated T …$3.99
I really adore these Little Marvel projects so I’m committing to these as there are a load of Easter eggs in these issues. Plus, they are super fun and I smile the entire time I am reading them. I wish Magik was on the cover, as well, and not just Emma, then I would know for sure, if I was going to keep this issue.
X-MEN ‘92 #1
CHRIS SIMS & CHAD BOWERS
• SCOTT KOBLISH (a)
Cover by PEPE LARRAZ
• Everyone’s favorite version of the X-Men from the ’90s is back!
• When Baron Kelly charges the Clear Mountain Project and it’s mysterious new director with “mutant rehabilitation,” it’s up to the X-Men to investigate!
• PLUS: Free Range Sentiels?!?
40 PGS./Rated T …$4.99
Chris Sims is writing a comic for Marvel!?! That is awesome! It is based off of the 90s FOX X-Men Animated Series, so the chances are super high that Kitty wouldn’t be involved in this series but I will put myself on the list so that I can support this title. This comic, though, is five dollars, which I can’t believe that the bulk of the issues above are $3.99, that just seems way too much.

Art by Art Adams
YEARS OF FUTURE PAST #1
MARGUERITE BENNETT
MIKE NORTON (a)
Cover by ART ADAMS
ANT-SIZED VARIANT COVER BY MIKE PERKINS
VARIANT COVER BY TBA
YOUNG VARIANT BY SKOTTIE YOUNG
• In the dystopian nations of BATTLEWORLD, the mutants of New York City must fight to survive the rule of the Sentinels!
• At their center is Kate Pryde, a heroine tried and tested by war, and mother of the last mutant ever to be born before the purges of the Mutant Control Act!
• With revolution on the wind, the X-Men are not a broken team with nothing left to lose, but a desperate family with more at risk than ever before!
40 PGS./Rated T+ …$4.99
YEARS OF FUTURE PAST #2
MARGUERITE BENNETT
MIKE NORTON (a)
Cover by ART ADAMS
VARIANT COVER BY TBA
• Freed from their military prison, the X-Men race through the ruins of the city to rescue their teammates from a terrible fate!
• Horrified by what mutants must do to survive, Kate Pryde and her family must struggle to find a way to save their people–and seek out the haven where a dire weapon waits
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
Another five dollar comic? At least it is only for the first issue. I’m imagining that I will want the variants for this series, as well. So excited about this miniseries. So glad that Kitty Pryde, of all characters, is being spotlighted in two miniseries! Chances are high, that she survives into Post-Secret Wars 2015, right? I’m hoping! I wish they showed the art for the second cover.
MRS. DEADPOOL AND THE HOWLING COMMANDOS #1
GERRY DUGGAN
• SALVADOR ESPIN (a)
• She is Shiklah—undisputed Queen of the Monster Metropolis below Manhattan!
• In the world that was, she married Deadpool, the Merc with the Mouth…
• …But nothing on Battleworld is quite as it was.
• Now, she commands the Howling Commandos: Werewolf By Night! Frankenstein’s Monster! The Living Mummy! Man-Thing! And Marcus the Centaur!
• What would her late husband think of that???
32 PGS./Parental Advisory …$3.99
I wish Shiklah got her name in the title, but I imagine “Mrs. Deadpool, Siklah, and the Howling Commandos” is a little wordy. But “Deadpool” sells but it would have been nice. I do like her getting her own series, that’s pretty rad.
X-TINCTION AGENDA #1
MARC GUGGENHEIM
CARMINE DI GIANDOMENICO (a)
Cover by DAVID NAKAYAMA
• Ten years since the fall of Cameron Hodge and his fascist regime. Ten years that Havok and Wolfsbane have labored to rebuild Genosha. But their work may be for naught, as a plague has spread across their nation, infecting mutants and threatening their race with extinction.
• With the country quarantined and seemingly abandoned by the rest of the world, including the X-Men, old friends may become new enemies as Genosha’s rulers fight to save their people!
• Experience an alternate future fueled by the events of the landmark first X-Crossover of 1990, X-Tinction Agenda!
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
Kitty shouldn’t be a part of this, but since it doesn’t cost me anything to add it to my pull list, that’s what I’m going to do, to be on the safe side. I knew June was going to be expensive but this really getting out of hand!
OLD MAN LOGAN #2
BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS
• ANDREA SORRENTINO (a/C)
• He may be an Old Man, but never before has the world needed Logan as much as it does now.
• The people he loved have become mere memories. The world that he loved has decayed, becoming a festering Wasteland.
• But in a world devoid of heroes, even someone who is the best there is at what he does may find themselves overmatched by evil.
32 PGS./Parental Advisory …$3.99
Maybe Bendis has forgotten that Kitty was dead and add her to the book? I doubt it, so I’m not even on the list for it.
E IS FOR EXTINCTION #1
CHRIS BURNHAM
• RAMON VILLALOBOS (a)
Cover by IAN BERTRAM
• What happens when mutants prove they really are Homo SUPERIOR?
• What will happen to the X-Men when they fight for a world that wants to be them, rather than hate and fears them?
• And what exactly is Magneto doing running the Xavier institute??
40 PGS./Rated T+ …$4.99
Kitty wasn’t involved at all during Grand Morrison’s run, outside of a hundred faces cover and two vague references to her during Emma Frost spotlight issues. I’m asking for these series to be pulled for me and I might as well add Old Man Logan. Better to be safe than sorry! In an entire, Burnham mentioned how he got Morrison’s blessing for this, which I like. Apparently, he even gave some plot suggestions too. That’s pretty awesome.
CAPTAIN MARVEL & THE CAROL CORPS #1
KELLY SUE DECONNICK & KELLY THOMPSON
DAVID LOPEZ (a/C)
ANT-SIZED VARIANT COVER BY JOHN TYLER CHRISTOPHER
• Atten-Hut! These ladies are the best of the best–and will take you down if you threaten their Captain.
• Welcome to Hala Field, where being a part of the elite Carol Corps, requires guts, guile and a whole lot of grit. So put on your uniform and get ready for a high-flying Captain Marvel series years in the making.
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
Kelly Thompson of She Has No Head fame is writing for Marvel too! I really need to start doing web comics or something, as that would be awesome. I just can’t draw anything but maybe I can use that. What could I write about? hmmmmmm. I feel a little bad, as I bumped off Kelly DeConnick from my Top Female Comic Book Writers list to include Marguerite Bennett, and Kelly knows that now. Oops!
INFERNO #2
DENNIS HOPELESS
• JAVIER GARRON (a/C)
• As if Colossus’s Inferno raid wasn’t impossible enough, now his skeleton crew X-Men are a team divided.
• With Boom Boom gut stuck and bleeding out.
• Nightcrawler caught in Darkchylde’s hellfire web.
• And Domino’s fate in the hands of The Goblin Queen Madelyne Pryor.
• Find out if our big metal mutant can pull his team’s bacon from the flames and get this suicide mission back on track as X-Men vs. Hell-on-Earth action continues.
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
Colossus handling Illyana’s soulsword is the new hip thing, I suppose.
INFINITY GAUNTLET #2
DUSTIN WEAVER & GERRY DUGGAN
DUSTIN WEAVER (a/C)
• Thanos vs. Nova!
32 PGS./Rated T …$3.99
This is starting to feel missable.
SECRET WARS 2099 #2 (OF 5)
PETER DAVID
• WILLIAM SLINEY (a)
Cover by DAVE RAPOZA
SPIDER-GWEN 2099 VARIANT COVER BY JASON LATOUR
• Secret Wars continues as The Avengers of the Year 2099 come face to face with a tremendous beast who’s no stranger to the team!
• Who could it be? We’ll give you a hint – you won’t like him when he’s angry.
32 PGS./Rated T …$3.99
Were there Avengers in 2099? I feel like that was a big storypoint in 2099 : Manifest Destiny. Not like that should be in 2099 continuity now.
PLANET HULK #2
SAM HUMPHRIES
• MARC LAMING (a)
Cover by MICHAEL DEL MUNDO
• Gladiator STEVE ROGERS, his trusty steed DEVIL DINOSAUR and the mysterious DOC GREEN go deeper into one of the most dangerous domains of BATTLEWORLD, the HULK infested territory known as GREENLAND!
• WILD HULKS in the jungle! GIANT HULKS in lakes of fire!
• But is the journey the most perilous part of this hellish mission or is it one of the travelers?
32 PGS./Rated T …$3.99
DEVIL DINOSAUR!?! RIDDEN BY CAPTAIN AMERICA!?! That sounds awesome!
SPIDER-VERSE #2
MIKE COSTA
• ANDRE ARAÚJO (a)
Cover by NICK BRADSHAW
• Spider-Gwen is on Battleworld and face-to-face with Norman Osborn.
• This can’t end well.
• But what’s going on with the rest of the Web-Warriors?
32 PGS./Rated T …$3.99
Hopefully this Gwen doesn’t get impregnated by Norman Osborn! Apparently, from her universe, Norman killed Peter Parker, so that’s pretty neat.
DEADPOOL’S SECRET SECRET WARS #2 (OF 4)
CULLEN BUNN
• MATTEO LOLLI (a)
Cover by TONY HARRIS
• If a secret war happens on a secret planet in secret space, and no one hears about it…DID IT REALLY HAPPEN?!?!
• That’s what you’ll be asking about this series for years to come!
• And the answer is YES! Deadpool really DID mess with the original Secret Wars!
32 PGS./Parental Advisory …$3.99
I wish the covers were more homages to the original Secret Wars, or gave us a hint at who the cast may be. I’m just hoping Lockheed makes a few panel appearances in this. I noticed this has a set number of issues, whereas most of the other Secret Wars 2015 are implied ongoings. Which can only last eight or less issues, right? All of these series should be done by Secret Wars 2015 issue eight, I imagine.
I’m glad that they put all of the Star Wars titles together, so that I can just skip right over those.
HOWARD THE DUCK #4
CHIP ZDARSKY
• JOE QUINONES (a/C)
Looks like the “doctor is in” … this issue of HOWARD THE DUCK! Ha ha of course I’m referring to Dr. Strange, Sorcerer Supreme.
• I’m 100% positive nobody’s ever made that joke before, so I feel pretty confident doing so here.
• There will be other jokes of a similar nature in this issue.
• PLUS! A MARVEL SUPER HEROES SECRET WARS (1984) tie-in!
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
That is a fun write-up!
GUARDIANS TEAM-UP #6
Bill Willingham
• DIOGO SAIDO (A)
Cover by Clay Mann• Nightcrawler journeys to a far off world to represent Earth in their celebrated interplanetary blade-fighting competition. His hopes to acquit himself well are abruptly stalled when it turns out he’s facing Gamora in the semi-finals.
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
I do like Nightcrawler getting spotlighted during Secret Wars 2015, but I doubt Kitty will be shown in this. Magik should there, as she is good at handling a blade!
HOUSE OF HEM
FRED HEMBECK with JIM SHOOTER
FRED HEMBECK with RON WILSON, JOHN BYRNE,
MICHAEL GOLDEN, AL MILGROM, JOHN BUSCEMA & MORE (a)
Cover by FRED HEMBECK
• For over thirty years, cartoonist Fred Hembeck has been poking fun at Marvel’s mightiest heroes. Now, some of his greatest works are collected in a giant-sized one-shot that’s bursting with belly laughs!
• Fred relentlessly roasts the Fantastic Four with the help of an all-star cast of artists!
• Fred wipes out the Marvel Universe in the tale they said couldn’t be published (and almost wasn’t)!
• Even Spider-Man and the Hulk are no match for Hembeck’s trademark wit!
• Plus: a cornucopia of side-splitting short strips from the pages of Marvel Age — and an all-new introduction by the man himself!
• Collecting FANTASTIC FOUR ROAST, FRED HEMBECK DESTROYS THE MARVEL UNIVERSE and AMAZING SPIDER-MAN DIGITAL COMIC #16 — and material from HULK ANNUAL ’99; and MARVEL AGE #50, #52, #54-55, #69, #97, #122-123 and #130-131.
104 PGS./Rated T+ …$7.99
ISBN: 978-0-7851-9418-7
I’m torn on this, as I own the Fantastic Four Roast and the Hembeck Destroys the Marvel Universe, and I would highly recommend both of those but do I need to own this? I’m sure I own the majority of those Marvel Age issues too. Actually, I only own issue 122 and don’t have any of the rest. Oops! But that’s odd as I know Hembeck has several pages of art in the issues I do own. I wonder why it isn’t more of an everything collection. What are they holding out for?
What I really wish, was that Kitty was on the cover of this, so I could justify the purchase (as I’m that guy) now I have to debate its worth. Dang it! I will probably end up buying it. Eight dollars is a bit much, maybe Hastings will have it cheaper than just a dollar off. Who knows, not me, that’s for sure.

312 PGS./Rated T+ …$49.99
ISBN: 978-0-7851-9770-6

I’ve been really enjoying this crossover thus far. Fifty dollars seems a bit much, but it is fourteen issues, so that is probably reasonable.

112 PGS./Parental Advisory …$15.99
ISBN: 978-0-7851-9735-5
Is issue fifteen the final issue? That series lasted a tad longer than I thought it would but it was a fun series, if not expensive.
. . .
Okay, let’s see how expensive June 2015 really is!
Secret Wars 2015 3 & 4 – $8
Ultimate End 2 – $4
Star Lord & Kitty Pryde 1 – $4
Masters of Kung Fu 2 – $4
Giant Size Little Marvels : AvX – $4
X-Men ’92 1 – $5
Years of Future Past 1 & 2 – $9
X-Tinction Agenda 1 – $4
Old Man Logan 2 – $4
E is for Extinction 1 – $4
Inferno 2 – $4
House of Hem – $8
Worst case, $62, with a dollar off each book is – fourteen dollars for a total of $48.
In reality though, I’m only imagining I am really buying –
Secret Wars 2015 3 & 4 – $8
Ultimate End 2 – $4
Star Lord & Kitty Pryde 1 – $4
Masters of Kung Fu 2 – $4
Giant Size Little Marvels : AvX – $4
Years of Future Past 1 & 2 – $9
Inferno 2 – $4
House of Hem – $8
So that’s a more reasonable $45 with a savings of ten dollars for a total of $35, which is still under my $40 budget. So that’s pretty keen!
Still not sure if I’m sticking with Marvel, Post-Secret Wars 2015. I keep thinking that if the X-Men rumors are true, then Marvel will at least print one title, which will work out great for me!
I’m adding seven ongoings to my list! That is a lot!
Now that I’m looking over my list, I didn’t put Deadpool’s Secret Secret Wars, so that could be another four dollars.
I’m sort of glad that I’m working at Hastings now, for this sole reason, as I imagine Kitty, Lockheed nor Magik will appear in every issue of Secret Wars 2015 and that saves me having to own those issues to later sell to Lonestar Comics.
