Surprised they are not waiting for the Netflix series to release it but I’m sure it will be rerelease around then. Surprise for $100 that they are not including the short lived Pulse series.

I’m falling out of love with Revenge, with how it gets good for two or three episodes and then it back slides hard for the same amount of episodes (or how much the show spends on resetting its characters) but interesting it got the comic treatment.

Cover by MARKO DJURDJEVIC
In 1935, Max Eisenhardt was a schoolboy — who happened to be Jewish in Nazi Germany. Named Best Miniseries of 2008 by IGN, X-Men: Magneto Testament follows Max Eisenhardt from 1935 to 1945 as he fights to protect his family and a Romani girl named Magda from the indignities of a Nuremberg schoolyard, the horrors of war-stricken Poland, and the unfathomable atrocities of Auschwitz-Birkenau. This heartbreaking and historically accurate look at the childhood of one of the most popular X-Men also features in-depth endnotes and extras providing further historical context, including a comprehensive teachers’ guide. Collecting X-MEN: MAGNETO TESTAMENT #1-5.

Read some amazing reviews for this story.
Newsarama has a note about how not every comic in July has a solict so here is what was missing that I’m interesting in :
These are most likely more Original Sin tie ins
WOLVERINE #10, maybe
UNCANNY X-MEN #23
UNCANNY X-MEN #24
So my to buy pile is :
Legendary Star Lord 1 $3.99 (I imagine)
All New Ultimates 5 $3.99
Iron Man Special 1 $3.99
All New X-Men 29 & 30 $7.98
Uncanny X-Men 23 & 24 $7.98
Making my total $28. I might add Uncanny Avengers 22 and maybe Wolverine 10 but I think I will just hold off on those as I’m not liking the idea of having to try to resell comics if Kitty or Magik don’t show up them. Same for Guardians of the Galaxy 17. Plus, Hasitngs doesn’t know I’m not continuing with them, so they will be pulling my copies for these titles for me still, so I might as well take advantage of that.
$28 will make my wife pretty happy. That, of course, is before the shipping prices and all of that but still, under $30!
. . .
UPDATE May 7, 2014 –
Right now my total is $21.11 at DCBS before shipping –
100th Anniversary Special 1 (with the wedding of Cyclops and Emma – so I figure it will be a whose who event)
All New Doop 4
All New Ultimates 5
All New X-Men 29 & 30
Iron Man Special 1
Legendary Star Lord 1
Uncanny X-Men 23 & 24
ooof, this day finally came – $42.09 with weekly shipping which is over my $40 budget by two dollars if the bags and boards were that price I would just eliminate them but I guess I now know how many comics I can get and keep it under $40 – 7 is the perfect number. Lousy double shipping!
Let’s try twice a month shipping – $36.09 – that’s more reasonable and I can still stay current … enough. Okay, that works for me and I’m going to have it sent to the PO Box and see how that goes.
So July 2014, my total is $36.09 through Discount Comic Book Service.
Hastings is going to keep me on some titles like Guardians of the Galaxy, Uncanny Avengers and Wolverine so I figure I’ll just save me having to resell those later and just let Hastings store them for me.
