Mile High Comics Codeword – Comics!

I’m not sure if the current Comics! codeword sale will be in effect after Christmas – or if another codeword will be used, but I have been told that my mother-in-law plans on getting me a gift card to Mile High Comics.  So, for weeks now, I have been super distracted with how to approach it.  I just went through my Wishlist and compared it to what Mile High Comics has in stock at the moment.

Thanks for indulging me as I mostly just wanted to keep this list somewhere handy that I could refer to later as I may not have my handy dandy Excel spreadsheet.

Honestly, no comic or variant cover should be over $50, that just seems super silly.  I’m sure I could go to eBay and find these variants for half off.

I’m mostly looking forward to adding my $1 comics, entering the codeword, seeing the discount, going through the $2 comics and getting up to the maximum amount.

Or rather, add to my shopping cart until I get near to $100 (if that’s how much the gift card is for) and then entering the codeword and seeing the discount and going back up to the total allotted and doing it over again.

I really do wish that their web master could figure out a way to enter the codeword like how Lonestar Comics does it and that way, it just applies the discount as you go.  Instead, I have click Shopping Card, take off the insurance, input all of my information (the computer remembers it but I still have to click down and tab to auto-fill), then go to Review Order, then see how much I have saved.

I guess one way is to just go up to $150, do the discount and then eliminate one or two comics that gets me under my total.

There is a chance, knowing my luck, that maybe I am not getting a gift card at all so this list will just be an update from March.  Which, somehow, I bought $75 worth of back issues and there is still an additional one thousand dollars between the two, so that’s just variants adding up.  Which I guess all it would take is ten 100 dollar variants to do that.  The only way for me to buy variants is to have them either be under ten dollars or have Hastings have them, as they rarely charge more than cover price or $15.
