How come no one told me Freddie Prinze Jr. has a podcast!?! I quickly finished the episode of Turtle Soup (152) that I was listening to, and quickly worked my way through the two hour awesomefest that was Daydream Nation’s 15’s episode. That episode covers Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill, the first CD the guys covered that I’ve actually listen too. I’m familiar with Kiss, I love the hits of Talking Heads and I’ve enjoyed most of No Doubt’s singles but Jagged Little Pill is the first featured CD that I can claim I’ve listen to.
Once I was done with those, I had to delete Undisclosed Season Two’s episode 18 and its Addendum, as my phone’s 8GBs is full and I’m really in desperate need for a SD card as I’m not eligible for a new phone until February 2018. I’m hoping for Fathers Day but I’ll get one eventually. I mostly added that note about Undisclosed so I can remember which episode I should pick back up on.
Prinze and the Wolf, I’ve listen to the first episode and his co-cost, Josh Wolf, is very fun. There are times when FPJr makes a reference to one of his films and Josh seems to jump at the chance to talk about that film, be it briefly, makes him super relate-able as I would totally do the same thing if I was doing a podcast with Prinze.

I’m not familiar with Josh Wolf, at all, but I really dig him and the two of them have great chemistry. I found myself constantly looking up Josh Wolf’s career, trying to see if I’ve ever come across him in my entertainment travels but I haven’t. There are 25 episodes, right now, it started January 2017, so I’m hoping to breeze through these. I got two weeks before the next Turtle Soup episode, so I bet I can get a slew of them done. The first episode was a tad over an hour, so if they are all like that, I should be able to do that in no time.

They even have a patreon page, which for only five dollars a month, you are treated to the bonus episodes where they read every e-mail on air. When I get caught up, I really want to give five dollars, as they are on their fifth bonus episode and it’ll be awesome to interact with the crew. But I’ve been saying that about Turtle Soup’s ten dollar level and wanting the No Homework Zone too, and haven’t done it due to other financial objections but hopefully one of these months.
The first episode gets pretty real with FPJr explaining why he doesn’t act anymore and now I feel like a real jerk for my constantly asking why he doesn’t get more work. It all makes sense now.

I found this pretty great article about Freddie Prinze Jr. that I thought some people would like. I did end up buying his wonderful cookbook, I don’t have a grill – though I do want one – so I haven’t tried many of his recipes yet. The one we tried was his Sweet Potato and Brown Sugar recipe and that was so good! It is hard to screw up that winning combination but we’ve made it a semi-regular side dish. I was trying to find a copy of the recipe to share but I guess the online food blogs haven’t sampled that one yet.
Some great stories in that cookbook too.
I forget how I came upon Prinze and the Wolf. I want to say I was looking up, again, what would have happen to Christian Slater’s character from Pump Up the Volume, Mark Hunter, and found several websites celebrating the 25th anniversary of that film. Usually, in my search, I find this website –

The ending of Pump Up the Volume, and I do love me that film, would have sparked hundreds of podcasts now. How much time would Mark Hunter have served for breaking FCC regulations? They never do explain how long his punishment would be, just that he will get arrested for it. Is he looking at a steep fine, community service, would he be released by now? So many questions!
Then I thought has Christian Slater done a podcast yet? Finally, I had the thought that I should look up a celebrity that I really adore, and of course, that brought me to Prinze. That was my fun Thursday afternoon as I went down that rabbit hole. Apparently he has done guest appearances on other podcasts but Prinze and the Wolf is his podcast, so that’s all I really need.

Man, this post, I really miss writing for this blog. I’m sure any regular visitors – and I’m still super proud that I get as many people coming to this site on a daily basis – but without getting new comics and not really having access to my comic boxes (they are in a storage unit, for months now) I haven’t really had much need to write lately. That’s one of the reasons why so many music video posts have done, as I was saving them for milestone posts but then I started getting to the end of my comic reviews and wanted to end on those so I have quite a few of those left to do before we get back to comics.
Big Brother is upon us and I still doubt I’ll be covering Big Brother 19, but if I do, I’ll let all of you know. It was a bit of a scheduling nightmare last time to do it but who knows, we’re another year older so maybe it’ll be easier.
I do miss writing so I’ll try to see if I can come up with any other topics or such that I can throw 100, 500 or 1,000 words at to keep this thing floating.
It is also another reason why we stop being a daily blog and now I try to do a new post Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Just trying to make it all last. Turtle Entity and And So It Begins, are not daily blogs, but I go to those daily to see updates so I felt like I can do that with my blog too. I’ll keep you all updated as things changed or improve.

Here’s a great article about Freddie Prinze Jr. talking about working with Vince McMahon. I do miss my WWE days but looking at the roster, its essentially a brand new WWE with some veterans from the late 90s/early 00s that are still around, keeping it lively. So I don’t think I can go back there now either. Those guys and the mid-card guys that are now headlining the show – which is pretty impressive ten or fifteen years later, seeing people’s careers advance or stagnate from where they were before.
. . .
I’m on episode eight of the show, and it is such a good time! My only real gripe about it is that they don’t label their file names “Episode 9” for instance, it is MONO-84. So now I have to write down the episode so that I know which one to download next, as I like to have the episode I’m currently on, and the next episode downloaded so I’m never not without content.
. . .
At the end of Episode 9, they reference Josh’s other podcast, Fairly Normal, where FPJr made an appearance on. So that might be the best episode to listen to prior to jumping into Prinze and the Wolf. I’m going to listen to it between 9 and 10.

Thanks to Foodstirs for hosting their own channel.
Freddie was on a previous episode with just Sarah Michelle Gellar too, which is super worth watching.
