So I finally gave Cities : Simulator & Farming Simulator 19 a try. Cities really could a tutorial that holds my hand and maybe lets me build a small city, as providing little info pockets did not quite work for me. I was hoping PlayStation Access would make at least one video for each game, but they did not. I imagine they did not want all of the negative comments.
For Cities, I got a trophy for experiencing fog, having 40 population, and then I deleted the game once I earned the Unpopular Mayor trophy, as I could not figure out how to get water to my folks. So that was pretty disappointing.
Farming Simulator 19, was not bad. It could really use a trophy for completing the tutorial, as I really enjoyed it. But then I was let lose in the game, and felt like it was really freeing. Maybe too freeing, as I did not know what to do once I was free. I somehow even fell off the guided tour. I accepted a job, to harvest someone’s farm. I went there in my harvester, and drove all over lot 6, and only got 40% success. I was not sure what else I was supposed to do. So I bought a chainsaw, equipped the chainsaw, teleported to my farm, and chopped down a tree, thus earning a trophy and deleted the game.
I really preferred Real Farm over Farming Simulator 19, but I credit that to having a guide that told me how to play the game, but I got a lot more enjoyment out of the smaller game.
. . .
After those two games, I went back to playing my other games. I am in the middle of Episode 3 of Omega Quintet. I am having a great time with the game, there is a lot of story, but I don’t mind that at all. I just met the fourth lady, she’s hostile to us, due to story reasons, but the game is Quintet, so she’ll come around.
My favorite is Kanadeko, and if the game would let me, I would just try to ship her and Takt, as she’s the best! Takt is constantly providing her support in battles.
I do wish I had control over Takt’s dialogue as he is a real nuisance, but hopefully he comes around. There are nine chapters, so I’m expecting the game to get simply better as I play.
Kyouka, the fourth member of the team, does seem interesting, so I’m just waiting for her to officially join now.
. . .
I looked at my 0% completed games on my PSN account, and was finally annoyed enough to get into some games.
Since Call of Duty : Modern Warfare – Warzone is considered a part of Modern Warfare, but does not have any trophies, I will have to just commit to having that game be at 0%.
But I made a quick list and went down the list and earn at least one trophy each.
Q.U.B.E. Director’s Cut is a fun puzzle game in the same family of Portal, a first person puzzler? Is that a thing? I did the first segment, and keeping the game on my PS4 to go back to it. This was part of the 2018 PS+ titles that I mean to get back to, so I will keep it in its place there to at least give it a second round. I really wish it had subtitles, and I tweeted my request to the team. That’s where I found out they are working on a sequel.
. . .
I originally bought Atari Flashback Classics Volume 2, for my wife, as she’s a huge fan of Maze Craze. I looked up the guide, and got most of the easy trophies. I committed to playing all of the games, for the trophy, and I made a point of keeping Maze Craze for last, for the screenshot. A few of the games were not that bad.
. . .
I had attempted Don’t Bite Me, Bro!, and did not take to it. It is a free game, and Walker Dennis was still a toddler then, so I could not fully commit to playing it when I originally attempted it. Playing it again for the night, I really took to it, but got as far I feel like I am going to. Pretty fun game, I do wish the driving mechanic was better, or that I was better at it.
. . .
I tried Absolver, and it was a lot of fun! I joined a school, and I was loving picking up loot, and playing along side a few people. Nice that the game is still being played. I might have to go back to it, though I can already tell why people complain about getting lost in the world, as there is a lot of twists and turns.
. . .
I downloaded the companion app for Knowledge is Power on my phone and Walker Dennis’s Kindle, and we played the game that way. It was pretty fun, with all of the ways we could hamper each other. He did not earn any trophies, so he was not happy about that, but he was enjoying the cartoon nature of the presentation.
. . .
I am currently playing Extreme Exorcism. I am mostly playing for either the 1000 kills trophy or the 1000 deaths trophy. I played last night and got a weapon for 500 kills, so I’m hoping with another night’s play I will earn one of those trophies. I have to be close to the 1000 deaths, I imagine. It is a fun 8-bit game, where we kill ghosts. I unlocked the Bedroom, so that was nice. I’m enjoying the game enough, but I feel like I “got” the game an hour earlier, and now I’m just grinding for those two of the easier trophies. I could not find a guide, but the description is really enough.
Then after that, I will go back to Omega Quintet to finish the third episode. My next 2018 PS+ title will be Space Overlords, then Another World, QUBE for a second play, Laser League, Rocketbirds 2 : Evolution, and Iconoclasts. King Oddball and Absolver have been my favorites thus far, but I hit a wall with King Oddball, so I’m probably not going back to that one anytime soon.
. . .
There is currently a Games Under $15 sale going on right now. I bought the Lego Harry Potter Collection for $6, then found out, it was not even part of the sale, so there’s games that are discounted but not under that umbrella. Also, a heads up, Lego Hobbit is back on the PSN, I’m waiting for it to go under $10 as there are DLC and no deluxe editions, so to balance that, I need the base game to be cheaper.
Regarding the sale, I do like how Fractured Minds is a dollar. Life is Strange’s first season’s episodes are a dollar each. Ms. Pac-Man and Pac-Man 256 are two dollars each. Sonic Mania DLC is three dollars. Rayman Legends is five dollars, and Uncanny Valley & LIMBO are $5.19 and $5.49, respectfully. Horizon Chase Turbo is six dollars. For eight dollars each – INSIDE, Jeopardy, Lego Jurassic World, and Wheel of Fortune. Lego Jurassic World also has DLC and no deluxe version. There is a LIMBO/INSIDE bundle is nine dollars.
STEEP and Batman Arkham Knight are $10 each, as are Mad Max, Sonic Forces, and Sonic Mania. Even Trackmania Turbo and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
If you are interested in both Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, the combo for those games is $14, so two dollars off. A dollar off per game, even.
Apparently I can never spell Jeopardy, I keep swapping the o and a positions.
