Marvel Comics August 2026 Solicitations
Midnight X-Men 1, the sole X-Men title in the new Midnight Universe. Has 9 variant covers, so hopefully one of those would have Kitty or Magik on it. Nightcrawler, that the fans are calling MidNightcrawler, is hunting Vampire Storm, so that should be an awesome story. Especially brought to us by Jonathan Hickman, Matteo Della Fonte, and Dike Ruan.

DNX 1 is properly solicited, and DCBS already has it available for preorder, so don’t miss out. I’ll be getting the JeeHyung Lee Variant.

Mary Jane : Face It, Tiger 1, I am tempted by with both Ann Nocenti and Ashley Allen writing stories. I’m so glad no one had to remind Marvel of Mary Jane’s 60th Birthday, unless how DC had to be reminded about Lois Lane’s milestone birthday. Remember that?
So silly that Marvel doesn’t legacy number Amazing Spider-Man Volume Whatever 36 to 1000. I almost missed it. Back in the day, I would be tempted to get this just for the collector aspect.

Infernal Hulk 10, I do suspect the X-Men are only in issue 7, but this is the final issue of this series, before we get the final series in the trilogy, then the big Hulk War crossover. So, I believe I have time to read issue 7 (out next week), before having to preorder issue 10.

Kevin Smith co-writing Spider-Man / Hulk : Fire and Brimstone should be fun.
Fantastic Four 15, the team’s 65th Anniversary. That’s pretty cool.
Mortal Thor 14 is actually Thor 800, pretty cool.
Captain America 14, so Doom is officially back.
Avengers : Armageddon 3, so this really is just One World Under Doom, but with Red Hulk. The World is against the Avengers, again?
Ultimate Impact Reborn 4, the first issue left me pretty cold, so I think I’m done with all things Ultimate (unless it is about the first Ultimate Universe).
Black Cat 13 has the Punisher.

Venom 261, symbiote vs Reed Richards, a grudge from the original Secret Wars. I’ll have to see if Lockheed appears in the Secret Wars flashback pages.

Queen in Black : Defenders of Light and Dark 2, I do like Cloak & Dagger have their own miniseries during this event.

Marvel Tokon First Strike 1, has four variant covers, so I wonder if Magik will be on one of these? Or even be in the series?

Godzilla Conquers the Multiverse 2, I do appreciate they list the bulk of the guest stars. I am getting a feeling that Magik isn’t going to be in this, but we’ll see.

Tomb of Apocalypse 1, I do love Ashley Allen, but Apocalypse, Logan, and Jubilee? Those are not characters that get me eXcited to buy a comic.
Bishop 3, with Shark vs Brotherhood.
Gambit Wanted 2, vs Bullseye.

X-Men Outback 3, apparently the threat is trying to end the Rasputin bloodline, so will we get Magik in this series?

Inglorious X-Force 8, MLF are making their move, and whatever is happening to Cable is on the cover.

X-Men ’97 : Season Two 3, I’ll have to see if Kitty or Magik appear in this.
What If Runaways 1, have we not done What If Runaways Didn’t Run Away? I imagine it is a concept that can be done a hundred times.
What If Captain America 1, didn’t we do What If Captain America Woke Up in 2099? Wasn’t that 2099 Manifest Destiny? I guess the plot of this is what if he didn’t wake up in “Marvel Present” then slept, then woke up in 2099, this is just straight to 2099.

What If X-Men 1, What if Cassandra Nova killed Xavier, written by Ashley Allen. Has two variant covers. Sounds interesting. The X-Men on the main cover are Cyclops, Jean Grey, Emma Frost, Rogue, and Logan. I’ll have to see what the other two variant covers look like, and if we see Kitty and Magik in it.
August is usually our tightest month, so I’m trying to see how few comics I can preorder.
Sorcerer Supreme 9, I thought that was Madelyne Pryor on the main cover, but I think that’s just Wanda.
Civil War Unmasked 4, has Tigra in it.
Iron Man 8, I love how they are marketing this as Carmen Carnero back full time. Whiplash is also there.
Fantastic Four : 65 Years of the World’s Greatest Comic Covers, this is something I’ll love to flip through. $6, so it is priced right.
Origins of the Hood : Marvel Rivals 1, is the Hood a big deal in Rivals? Will Magik appear in this?
Marvel is reprinting their classic Indiana Jones comics, that’s pretty cool.
