This song was what inspired my wanting to put the songs I want to hear on this blog.
Thanks to YouTuber NeonTreesVEVO for hosting the video.
I can’t say that I’m the biggest fan of Neon Trees but Sleeping with a Friend made me start realizing how much the other songs on the radio were lacking. Once this came off of the radio, I really missed it.
Sometimes I still hear it and it brings it all back for me.
I’m a larger fan of the songs when they filmed their music videos while Tyler Green has his blonde (bleach or platinum) hair.
This is from the “Songs I Liked But Can Never Remember the Title” Department –

I always think of it as that upbeat summer song that has “New Kids on the Block” mentioned in it, which doesn’t narrow it down when you do a search for it.
I didn’t realize he had so many videos until writing this post!
I first saw his Evolution of Disney video and really enjoyed it –
Then YouTube offered that I may enjoy his 90s Disney video
Which I enjoy more and it features Shoshana Bean, who I really enjoy in this video.
After watching the Evolution of Disney, I always feel like relistening to “I’ll Make A Man Out of You” from Mulan –
Thanks to YouTuber XFliiy for hosting the video and todrickhall for hosting his own videos.
Whenever I see Yao, I always think of him as Disney’s Wolverine – but then I can’t think of other Disney characters to match the rest of the X-Men but I would always start with that match. Am I the only one who has that thought? They are both short and hairy, with an attitude, I guess is what cements it for me.

This is another song that I crank up the volume up, whenever it comes on the radio.
Then I wish they would play R Kelly’s Gotham City
Thanks to EclosionFruitee for hosting this video.
As much as I adore this song, there is just something about it I really like – I have absolutely no clue what city he is referring to. I mean, really, has this song ever align with any version of Gotham City, from comics or film? I guess maybe the 66 show? Or the Brave and the Bold cartoon?
Referring to, as such –
How great is the Mayhem of the Music Meister (episode 1 x 25) of Brave and the Bold? (not sure how long the video will stay up for)
Thanks to YouTuber Batman Full for being brave enough to host it
Here is the Batman 66 theme song, with Batgirl!
Thanks to YouTuber Bat-Mania for hosting this video.
As I’m always looking for ways, and failing, to sneak my love for Jewel onto S&FwM –
Thanks to YouTuber Atlantic Records for hosting her official video.
Her “Foolish Games” was featured on the Batman & Robin soundtrack, along with R Kelly’s Gotham City song.
Flaming Lips’ Bad Days is featured when we see the Riddler in Batman Forever –
Thanks to YouTuber flaminglips for hosting their own video.
Here is the scene where I instantly enjoyed the song –
Thanks to YouTuber Z1DO4U for hosting this clip from the film.
Batman, of course, is involved int eh Ultimate Showdown –
Thanks to YouTuber Sub Sub Sub!!!!!! for hosting this video!
I know I’ve included this song before but since I want to make this all inclusive –
Batman, Maybe
Thanks to YouTuber wekejay for hosting this video!

This originally aired as part of the 2009 MTV Movie Awards. As much as I love Andy Samberg and Will Ferrel, it is the surprise appearance of JJ Abrams on the keyboard (and getting his own solo) that really captured my imagination.
I really enjoy seeing the comic book films intermixed with the other action films.
Gone in 60 Seconds
Desperado
The Conctractor
Hell Ride
The Rundown
Lucky Number Slevin
Iron Man
From Dusk till Dawn
No Country for Old Men
Man on Fire
Hancock
Shooter
Syriana
RoboCop
The Dark Knight
Con Air
Wolverine Origins
Still no explanation to JJ Abrams being there.
Here are four other Lonely Island Songs that I’ve been having a hard time getting out of my head lately –
I Just Had Sex (featuring Akon)
The “not-having-sex-ways of the past” really does it for me.
I like Jessica Alba and Blake Lively being game for the video too.
Threw It On The Ground
Whenever I accidentally drop something, I try to recoup by claiming I threw it there
Like A Boss, featuring Seth Rogen
Just the way the story just escalates and continues to do so! So much fun!
YOLO (featuring Adam Levine AND Kendrick Lamar)
That sound advice from Kendrick Lamar, makes this my favorite song of his – and I doubt any proper song of his will ever change my opinion of that. It all makes sense too.
After two months of no music videos being played, in the store, they have come back in full force!
My favorite has been, Leon Bridge’s Better Man –
Thanks to LeonBridgeVEVO for hosting the video.
This song makes me smile, everytime it comes on.
Metric’s The Shade, is also super catchy. The video Hastings airs, is just a picture of “The Shade” that I wish they will update to the official video, but they won’t.
Thanks to metricmusic for hosting their video.
See how the second one isn’t all that exciting? You look at it, and just keep on shopping.
This third and final one, took me a few listens before coming around on it. That’s the thing about Hastings’ tron, it will always wear you down.
Robert DeLong’s Don’t Wait Up
Thanks to RobertDeLongVEVO for hosting his video.
Took some work, to even figure out who he was, and what the song was called. I’ve been referring to it as “Restless Mind” but that’s not the title.
I’ve heard this song only twice now, on the radio and I sort of love it. It is so unique on the Top 40 station, and I completely get why it isn’t played more often. I also like how someone took the time to write a song about Peter Pan, not for a related film but just because, that’s pretty awesome.
My wife, who is a big Peter Pan fan – not as big as she is of The Little Mermaid – she wasn’t as impress with this song but she’s coming along. Now I just want to see this song a few more times before it is off the airwaves.
Thanks to justintimberlakeVEVO for hosting his video.
Like most people, I’m sort of addicted to this song. It is super catchy! I type that as someone who isn’t a huge JT fan, most of his popular songs don’t sound like songs to me. Like Sexy Back, is he even singing on that track?
This song is for DreamWorks’ Trolls, that should be out on November 3rd, I believe. I’m hoping the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Trolls make it to the film.
I’m not sure if that movie is working under the rules of the Lego Film wherein they have the rights to everything Troll but those were the only ones I ever bought. I’m sure I was given some or gotten one for free but I wasn’t ever swept up in it. My sister had a subscription to Troll magazine and had a lot more of them.
The Trolls film I had already decided I wasn’t going to track the film but then this song came out and I had to look the film up.
There is a more star studded music video –
that VEVO channel hosted this video too.
The stars are – the beatufiul Anna Kendrick, the funny late night host Josh Cordan, Gwen Stafani, @Midnight alum and super funny Ron Funches, Big Bang Theory’s Kuanal Nayyar. The two ladies with the puppies, I didn’t know but that’s Icona Pop.
I know I’ve posted this before but –
Saturday Night Live’s (who hosted this video) Dongs All Over the World, features Anna Kendrick and has an appearance by Icona Pop. Such a fun song!
JustinTimberlakeVEVO hosted this video as well.
I wouldn’t mind if they posted the full video of the stars dancing but they smartly released Anna Kendricks and it is awesome! Is there anything she’s not great in? I doubt it as I’ve seen a lot of her films.
