Secret Wars, Gallery Collection, sounds amazing. Maybe not at $125.
Phoenix : The Death & Rebirth of Jean Grey Omnibus sounds like everything you would want. $150 Collecting New X-Men (2001) #128, #139-141 and #146-154; X-Men: Phoenix – Endsong #1-5; X-Men: Phoenix – Warsong #1-5; Avengers vs. X-Men #0-12; Jean Grey (2017) #1-11; Generations: Phoenix & Jean Grey; Phoenix Resurrection: The Return of Jean Grey #1-5; and material from Point One (2011) #1.
I would love to have the Krakoa era collected in omnibi format! X-Men : Age of Krakoa – Doawn of X Omnibus Vol 1, $150 Collecting X-Men (2019) #1-7; X-Force (2019) #1-8; Marauders (2019) #1-8; Excalibur (2019) #1-8; Fallen Angels (2019) #1-6; New Mutants (2019) #1-7; Wolverine (2020) #2-3; Giant-Size X-Men: Jean Grey and Emma Frost; and material from Wolverine (2020) #1.
All New X-Men by Brian Michael Bendis Omnibus, $125, is such great reading! Collecting All-New X-Men (2012) #1-15 and #18-41 and Guardians of the Galaxy (2013) #11-13.
Wolverine : Revenge is a pass for me
Psylocke Vol 1 – Guardian for $18 is a deal!
Sentinels : Necessary Monsters for $18, has an interesting premise, but ultimately, doesn’t matter.
What If Galactus for $16, I really like the Rogue story, and the Gambit one was okay. Hulk was fine.
Dazzler : World Tour for $18, I had a fun time with it. Don’t take the mystery of the main villain too seriously.
X-Men : Raid on Graymalkin for $16, we’ll see how important this was with X-Manhunt, but it had some good moments.
X-Men : Age of Apocalypse Vol 2 – Reign for $45, doesn’t make sense to me to break up each series by an issue, if I can’t read all of Generation Next in one volume, then what’s the point?
. . .
Godzilla vs X-Men 1, I really wish this was set during the 80s. Since it is the 90s, I doubt Kitty Pryde or Excalibur will be involved. If they are, I’ll buy this on the day it comes out.
Doom Academy, 4 of 5, issue one was fine but I think I’m not going to track this mini anymore.
Doom’s Division, 3 of 5, Karma isn’t referenced, but hopefully she is still involved in this mini.
One World Under Doom, 4 of 9, Doom vs Dormammu, just feels like this is a pass for me.
Avengers 26, still dealing with Doom, no Storm reference nor is she on the cover.
Giant Size X-Men 1, Ms. Marvel goes back to the original Giant Size X-Men 1. Hopefully we see Sway & Petra in this. I’m mostly interested in the Dark Phoenix, Age of Apocalypse, and House of M one-shots, but we’ll see how the bookend events work out.
Spider-Man & Wolverine 1, by Marc Guggeneim and Kaare Andrews, should be a fun time. I’ll see if any X-Men I care about show up in this.
Fantastic Four Fanfare, 1 of 4, I like the Marvel Fanfare logo being reused here.
Vision / Scarlet Witch, 1 of 5, celebrating the 50th anniversary of their wedding, which doesn’t feel right, but that’s just how time works. One of my favorite Marvel couples.
Spider-Verse vs Venom-Verse, 1 of 5, oh dear, I thought this was already started!
Gwenpool, 1 of 5, original Gwen Stacey is back, and she’s killing people. This feels unnecessary. Unless she’s going after Norman Osborn, Mysterio, and Mendal Stromm.
. . .
Wolverine and Kitty Pryde 2, with only three covers, none featuring Lockheed. I’m committing to this series, the first comic I’m buying of the month. Probably get the Alan Davis cover, but none are really jumping out at me.
. . .
Rogue : Savage Land, 5 of 5, only four covers, so that shows some restraint.
Cable : Love and Chrome, 5 of 5, first two issues have been great.
Wolverine 9, new storyarc, with Bad Marauders’ Harpoon and Vertigo coming after Logan. I don’t care for Harpoon.
. . .
Psylocke 7, since this month looks like a lighter week, maybe I’ll get this issue as Magik is on the cover, and the series has been pretty stellar. Plus, they visit Rogue’s team? That should be fun.
. . .
Magik 5, neither cover excites me, so I’ll get the Peach Momoko Design cover. I love Dani Moonstar sticking around for another issue.
. . .
Phoenix 11, who could be Jean’s long lost love?
Laura Kinney 6, Gabby is back!!! Can Jonathan not be too far behind? Please.
Storm 8, the only title to be directly dealing with X-Manhunt fallout. Thor is on the cover, but not referenced. Maggot is creating a tournament, which sounds fun. Involving She-Hulk, Juggernaut, Gentle, Big Bertha, and others.
. . .
Exceptional X-Men 9, we are committing to Mister Sinister for another month! The fourth comic I’m buying in May. There is a variant cover, but Kitty is on the main cover, so that’s good enough for me.
. . .
Uncanny X-Men 14, we learn the secrets of Haven House, and Outliers are still around, so this should be good.
Uncanny X-Men 15, double shipping, and with a Mystique cover for some reason.
Weapon X-Men 4, the first issue was very good, so this should still be good. Still needs a lady on the team.
X-Factor 10, reads like a final issue to me. Looks like NYX and X-Force quietly ended in April. Two titles that were great.
X-Men 16, I’m happy to see Russell Dauterman is still doing his costume gallery covers, this time with Cyclops. I’m hoping he eventually gets to Magik & Kitty Pryde covers, he said they are on his long list to do, he just needs to be asked by Marvel.
. . .
JMS writing a Hulk and Doctor Strange one shot is interesting.
What IF Donald Duck was Iron Man? is a pass for me.
It’s Jeff : Jeff Week 1, reprinting It’s Jeff Infinity Comics 25 – 36, and Jeff Week 1 -5. Lockheed isn’t in 25 – 36, and Week 1-5 seems to start with Spider-Man, then move onto Devil Dinosaur, then Fury Jr, and Lockjaw. Fandom didn’t post any character appearances.
Still waiting for Lovable Lockheed to get a physical printing.
. . .
Ultimate Wolverine 5, we are introduced to Ultimate Sabretooth, and I think I’m done preordering this. If Kitty Pryde shows up, I’ll buy that issue of whichever comic.
Ultimate X-Men 15, Armor is still the central focus, as she should be. I do feel a little detached from the new Ultimate Universe.
Now that I know Kitty Pryde exists, but isn’t being seen, I feel like this isn’t the universe for me. Hopefully she survives issue 3 of Ultimate Wolverine.
. . .
West Coast Avengers 7, featuring Wonder Man, who I have zero interest in.
Deadpool/Wolverine 5, is this the final issue?
Iron Man 8, dealing with Doctor Doom.
Hellverine 6, featuring the first full appearance of Hell Hulk!
Aliens vs Avengers, 4 of 4, now featuring the X-Men, who were in the second issue. Now I’m excited.
Star Wars 1, so Marvel didn’t lose the comic license, I wasn’t sure if Dark Horse offered a competing bid.
. . .
I used DCBS for my April books, and loved how easy it was, so I’ll do the same for May. Titles I’m committing to :
Wolverine and Kitty Pryde 2
Psylocke 7
Magik 5, the Peach Momoko cover
Exceptional X-Men 9, and maybe I get both covers? I’ll see what my total is.
Godzilla vs Fantastic Four, 1 of 6, is a real choice, but I imagine the hope is that the trade is ready by the time their movie comes out in July? Plus, it promises to involve the entire Marvel U Actually it is 1 of 6 one shots, so hopefully the X-Men get their proper one-shot, but we’ll be checking for all of the Kitty Pryde, Lockheed, and Magik content
One World Under Doom 2 of 9, lots of Fantastic Four content, and then the Avengers get thrown in at the end. I’ll continue to await X-Men tie-ins
Fantastic Four 30, I love the idea that one way for Doom to defeat the Fantastic Four is to cure Ben Grimm of being the Thing. How to be a jerk, but also a good guy, but also also, weaken her main foes? Doom figured it out.
Doctor Strange of Asgard 1, now that he’s out of being Sorcerer Supreme, he’s gone to Asgard to be the best there.
. . .
X-Manhunt, like X-Man, and Manhunt, combined, for seven parts!
From how it reads, you just need maybe the first issue, and then the ongoing title you are already reading, and then it all concludes in its own one shot. That’s how it reads to me anyway.
Uncanny X-Men 11, is part 1. Emma is on the cover to represent Exceptional X-Men. I love that Luciano Vecchi Calico variant, and I really hope he can do this series of covers for Exceptional X-Men, I would buy them over the regular covers, no doubt – especially the Kitty Pryde cover
NYX 9, is part 2. Xavier runs to New York City.
Storm 6, is part 3. Xavier runs to Atlanta City. Maggot is on the cover, so that’s cool. X-MEN are also appearing, so Magik content, hopefully.
X-Men 13, is part 4. X-Men and Storm, still chasing Xavier, possibly not to Alaska.
X-Factor 8, is part 5. Cyclops blasting Havok unnecessarily.
X-Force 9, is part 6. Sage confronts Xavier. Apparently there is a X-Manhunt connecting cover, have to see what that looks like.
Exceptional X-Men 7, is part 7. Which is very pleasing on the eyes. I don’t love that Exceptional’s new villain has already been spoiled to be an old villain before he even made his (not) first appearance. I can’t say I’m super drawn to the proper cover, nor the Kimoko cover, even if it is done by Peach Momoko. So I guess that leaves the Rickie Yagawa cover for me, or whatever cover Rian Gonzales has. But I’m ordering this issue no matter what I wonder if Gonzales has the Iceman cover I saw, that connects with the other covers to show the Original Five X-Men, plus Xavier.
X-MANHUNT OMEGA #1
GAIL SIMONE & MUREWA AYODELE • GLEB MELNIKOV (A/C) X-MANHUNT CONNECTING VARIANT COVER BY PHIL NOTO VARIANT COVER BY DAVID MARQUEZ VARIANT COVER BY TONY DANIEL PROFESSOR XAVIER VARIANT COVER BY EDWIN GALMON
X-MANHUNT FINALE!
The X-MANHUNT concludes as Professor X reaches his destination, and his assorted pursuers, friend and foe alike, catch up with him!
Alliances will be battle-tested, the blades of betrayals will cut deep with poisoned tips and, when the dust finally settles, Charles Xavier will have to make a tectonic-shifting choice with the fate of all mutantkind in the balance.
The world is about to change. This time around, everyone is wide awake.
48 PGS./ONE-SHOT/Rated T+ …$6.99
I’m also on board for buying the finale, as Kitty Pryde is on the cover. Which makes sense as her series is the penultimate issue. She should be sticking around. I’m calling it now, Xavier just ends up back in prison at the end of this
. . .
What if Mickey and Friends Became the Avengers? Wake up me up when Disney and X-Men pair up again.
The Thing, 1 of 5, launches as Ben loses his ability to be the Thing. So that’s perfect timing.
Nick Fury vs Fin Fang Foom, is just a fun concept
Web of Spider-Verse vs Web of Venomverse, so all Spider-Titles are unreadable for the foreseeable future
Wolverine 7, with both Wolverines, and a promise of a key appearance
Weapon X-Men 2, still delivering on their premise of being a sausage feast.
Laura Kinney : Wolverine 4, has Winter Soldier appearing
Rogue : Savage Land 3 of 5, seems to exist just for the variant covers
Cable : Love and Chrome 3 of 5, if this is your thing
Phoenix 9, still fighting Thanos
. . .
I sort of love the good girl/Darkchylde cover by J. Scott Campbell, that’s probably the one I’m going to get. I have to make sure not to buy my copies too early so that I give myself a chance to see all of the covers.
. . .
Psylocke 5, she’s poisoned, months after Storm was poisoned, that doesn’t seem great
Uncanny X-Men 12, the first issue post-crossover, and we focus on Gambit
. . .
ULTIMATE WOLVERINE #3
Chris Condon • Alessandro Cappuccio (A/C)
ULTIMATE SPECIAL VARIANT COVER BY LEINIL FRANCIS YU
VARIANT COVER BY NIC KLEIN • VARIANT COVER BY MATEUS MANHANINI
VIRGIN VARIANT COVER BY MATEUS MANHANINI
WOLVERINE VS. GAMBIT & KITTY PRYDE!
The Winter Soldier leads a strike against two members of the Opposition: Kitty Pryde and Gambit! But do the duo recognize the man behind the mask?
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$4.99
I have to buy issue 2 on eBay, as I can only imagine Kitty Pryde shows up as a last page reveal in that issue, if she’s on the cover to issue 3. With all due respect to Peach Momoko’s excellent Ultimate X-Men series, BUT! this is the series I’ve been waiting for. I’m getting the Kitty cover, for sure. Not sure why anyone would want the other cover options. This is definitely leading up to Magik v Kitty, and I’m not sure I’m ready for this. I’m beyond excited to see where Kitty goes from here, this is the Ultimate Universe for me now.
. . .
Ultimate X-Men 13, starts its second year, and Armor and Maystorm are not getting along.
Amazing Spider-Man 69, 8 Deaths of Spider-Man is still moving forward, so I was too hasty in writing off the line. X-Men are referenced, so maybe we’re still getting Magik in this?
Amazing Spider-Man 70, Spider-Naut! Cain Marko gets added to the Spider-Mythos, even more so.
I thought it said Spider-Gwen : The Worst-Spider, and thought we were going into a different direction for issue 11.
West Coast Avengers 5 has a variant cover that is just Firestar and Spider-Woman, so they know their audience. Stevil is back, and harassing the team.
Daredevil : Unleash Hell 3 of 5 has an intense classic Electra cover by Ivan Talavera.
Pooluminati 1, is just a fun word to try to pronounce.
There’s been a few April Fool variant covers, and Marvel Fanfare 15 which has April Fool content. I’m not one for pranks.
TVA 4 of 5, has both Gambit (from a sad universe where Rogue died) and Jimmy Hudson, from the original Ultimate universe. Issue 1 was pretty fun.
Avengers 24, Black Cat AND Storm, on the same team? Yes please
Deadpool 12 and Miles Morales Spider-Man 31 are crossing over.
Sabretooth : The Dead Don’t Talk 4 of 5, I debate if I want a Sabretooth Funko Pop. There are only 9 X-Characters I’m missing, so I should get him toward the end.
Namor 8 of 8, this finally ends. Stingray has missed both issues 4 and 5, and with him, my esteem for this series.
Hellverine 4, still no Aurora mention, but issue 1 was very solid.
Daredevil 19, has Murdock making a decision that will rock the Marvel U, and I’m calling it now, it isn’t going to rock the X-Side
Hopefully once we get marketing for Aliens V X-Men, we’re told the (main) cast pretty early on, so I can secure my copies.

I’m not sure who would want the Rhino hugging Spider-Man cover.

From the ashes of the Krakoan era, Kate Pryde finds fresh purpose!
After the fall of Krakoa, Kate Pryde is trying to get as far away from all things X as she possibly can. She’s just a regular bartender now. She’s not getting ready to head up an all-new team of wayward young mutants. Nothing in this title but work, dating and staving off depression. That’s it. No never-before-seen Exceptional X-Men to see here! Except Kate’s continued attempts at living a normal, non-mutant life go laughably wrong as she finds herself in the middle of a brawl started by a couple of headstrong teens with remarkable abilities — which, of course, they’re terrible at controlling. She’s sworn off being anybody’s teacher, mentor, professor, sensei or anything that reminds her of her old life. But will the White Queen force her hand? Collecting EXCEPTIONAL X-MEN #1-5.
120 PGS./Rated T+ …$17.99
ISBN: 978-1-302-95939-5
Trim size: 6-5/8 x 10-3/16
buy this, at $18, it is a steal!
. . .
Wolverine Deep Cut for $18, even throwing in Uncanny X-Men 246 and 251, I’m not sure, of the four main issues, I really enjoyed the first two, then it falls part when it delivers on the premise of the title.
Earth X, new printing, for $45, not bad.
Wolverine : Enemy of the State for $40 is a good deal too, better if you can get it half off somewhere.
. . .
Ideally, I don’t have to get all of the issues of X-Manhunt
Here is what I’m committed to buying as soon as I can get options on eBay :
