ACT III: NEW WORLD DISORDER
• Who will live? Who will die? Who will remain inverted? A shocking climax that promises to crack the Marvel Universe to its very core!
• An old foe must claim the mantle of his greatest enemy to save the lives of all he cares for!
• An X-Man’s horrifying fate! An Avenger’s appalling choice! If you read only one comic this century – This is it!
40 PGS./Rated T+ …$4.99
Nice that this event is done by year’s end. So the X-Men appear to be villains in this series. So that’s twice in three years, which is rather disappointing. I wonder if its Cyclops who is experiencing a horrible fate. It would be pretty obvious.
Shame that the final issue is one extra dollar, that’s why they are have two different positions. Marvel really wants all of our Christmas money to be spent on them!
Also, is that Sabretooth dressed as Wolverine? That’s horrible!
AXIS: REVOLUTIONS #3 & 4 (of 4)
Issue #3 – Ray Fawkes & Frank Barbiere
Issue #4 – John Barber & Howard Chaykin
Issue #3 – Tan Eng Huat (A)
Issue #4 – Howard Chaykin & TBA (A)
Covers by KEN LASHLEY
Companion series to AVENGERS & X-MEN: AXIS!
• In the wake of their battle with the Red Skull, the world has been altered: Heroes have gone bad! Villains have gone good! And AXIS REVOLUTIONS brings you tales of these shocking turns…
• She-Hulk breaks the law!
• Sandman reaches out to help a friend…in prison!
• And Kitty Pryde robs a bank??
32 PGS. (EACH)/Rated T+ …$3.99 (EACH)
Kitty Pryde is in three! Awesome! I wonder what her Inversion name will be. Hulk is Kluh and Deadpool is Zenpool. Could she be StealyCat?
I’ve decided to start posting the covers if Kitty is on them. I didn’t do it before as the covers are without the branding and such, so it isn’t what my comic will look like but I might as well. Keeps the blog fresh. perhaps.
AVENGERS WORLD #16
NICK SPENCER & FRANK BARBIERE
MARCO CHECCHETTO (A)
Cover by KALMAN ANDRASOFSZKY
AXIS TIE-IN!
• The Avengers team you never expected explodes into action in “The Availables” Part 2!
• The wrath of the SCARLET WITCH unleashed!
• Doctor Doom’s heroic gambit—will he be redeemed?
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
Doom sure does have a C-List roster of Avengers! Is that Stingray? That may not be fair as he does have Valkyrie and USAgent.
DEADPOOL #38-39
GERRY DUGGAN & BRIAN POSEHN
MIKE HAWTHORNE (A)
Covers by MARK BROOKS
AXIS TIE-IN!
• You heard right—since the events of AXIS inverted him…
• DEADPOOL HAS GONE ZEN!
• HE FOUND PEACE! HE SWORE OFF VIOLENCE!
• So how is he going to help his friends live through the inverted X-Men?!?
32 PGS. (EACH)/Rated T+ …$3.99 (EACH)
I wonder if Kitty will be in this or is it the Jean Grey School who is inverted? Four dollars is too high of a price to take a chance on it.
AMAZING X-MEN #14
CHRIS YOST(W) • Carlo Barberi (A)
COVER BY Kris Anka
AXIS TIE-IN!
• As the events of AXIS reach a boiling point, both X-Men and Avengers find themselves in precarious positions. Not the least of which are Nightcrawler and Mystique—as this tumultuous mother/son combo reaches and a point in their relationship they’ve never faced before!
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
Mystique making her first appearance since the big reveal that she’s Mrs. Charles Xavier? This has to be good! Hey, why is Craig Kyle not co-writing with Yost? Did they have a fight?
I’m still waiting for Kurt’s reaction, if he were alive, that his old mentor is now his step-father.
SUPERIOR IRON MAN #3
TOM TAYLOR• YILDIRAY ÇINAR (A/C)
Cover by MIKE CHOI
THE LAST TEMPTATION OF MATT MURDOCK
• After the life-changing events of issue #2, MATT MURDOCK is faced with an impossible choice.
• Will DAREDEVIL rebel or will he buy into TONY STARK’S vision?
• Can nothing stop the SUPERIOR IRON MAN’S non-stop party? You’ll be surprised at who wants to crash it!
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
I sort of like the idea of Murdock and Stark together, they don’t really have any history together that I can recall.
ANGELA: ASGARD’S ASSASSIN #1
KIERON GILLEN & MARGUERITE BENNETT
PHIL JIMENEZ & STEPHANIE HANS (A)
Cover by STEPHANIE HANS
• All her life, Angela — the finest warrior of Heven — was raised to hate Asgard with every fiber of her being.
• And now Angela knows the truth about her identity: She is Thor’s sister. She is an Asgardian.
• Cast out of her home and wanting nothing to do with Asgard, Angela must now strike out on her own!
• But what does Angela have that both Asgard and Heven want? And why are they so eager to get it?
• Visionary writers Kieron Gillen and Marguerite Bennett team with the legendary art team of Phil Jimenez and Stephanie Hans to finally throw the spotlight onto the Marvel Universe’s most dangerous inhabitant!
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
This reminds me of when I was listing off all of the new number ones that I had no interest in. If she hates Asgard so much, how about not even dealing with it. Spider-Man seems to go without having to deal with Asgard, it can’t be that hard.

SPIDER-MAN AND THE X-MEN #1
ELLIOTT KALAN• MARCO FAILLA (A)
Cover by NICK BRADSHAW
• Meet the Jean Grey Academy’s new guidance counselor: Spider-Man!
• What’s a non-mutant doing at a school for mutants? What secret suspicion has fueled the formation of his special student class?
• And because you demanded it! Sauron and Stegron the Dinosaur Man! The villain team 65 million years in the making! You didn’t demand it? Well somebody did.
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
Why couldn’t this series have happened while Kitty was still at the school? That would have made the most sense.
Last time there was a special class, Magneto was secretly running it!
SCARLET SPIDERS #2 (of 3)
MICHAEL COSTA
PACO DIAZ (A)
Cover by DAVID NAKAYAMA
SPIDER-VERSE MARCHES ON!
• As the Scarlet Spiders find themselves even deeper in Jennix’s twisted realm, what friends or foes will they find waiting for them?
• A classic Spider-Man ally makes an appearance, but not in the way you expect… and the Scarlet Spiders might not survive the experience!
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
So happy to have the Ben Reilly Scarlet Spider back!
DEATH OF WOLVERINE: LOGAN’S LEGACY #6 & 7 (OF 7)
ISSUE #6 – JAMES TYNION IV• ANDY CLARKE (A)
Cover by ALEX GARNER
ISSUE #7 – CHARLES SOULE• PETER NGUYEN (A)
Cover by RAFAEL ALBUQUERQUE
ISSUE #6 – • In the wake of the DEATH OF WOLVERINE, Mystique must come to grips with everything she’s done in a lifetime of crime, and the DESTINY laid out before her.
32 PGS./Parental Advisory …$3.99
ISSUE #7 – • It’s all come to this! The heroes and villains closest to Wolverine—Mystique, Daken, Sabretooth, X-23 and Lady Deathstrike—make a monumental decision that will forever alter the Legacy that Logan built years forging. That is, if they survive the threat of the vampiric menace challenging their goals!
32 PGS./Parental Advisory …$3.99
Still confused with the writing of these. The heroes and villains closet to Wolverine . . . yet, the only hero represented is X-23. Where is Kitty? I know she’s in issue two, the X-23 spotlight one, but it just seems bonkers to me.
MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS #1 (of 2)
WILL CORONA PILGRIM
JOE BENNETT (a)
GET READY FOR MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON WITH THIS OFFICIAL ADAPTATION OF THE FIRST BLOCKBUSTER FILM!
• Iron Man! Thor! Captain America! Black Widow! Hawkeye! The Hulk! They’re all here…and so is Loki!
• When the trickster god makes a play for the mighty Tesseract, it’ll take a historic assemblage of heroes to save the day…that is, if they don’t kill each other first!
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$2.99
Didn’t Marvel already release this once? Seems so odd to do this as a comic, or at least, two comics. For six dollars, you could rent the movie proper. I wonder how much is cut out to make it fit within 48 pages. Also, why can this comic be three dollars and the majority of others are four dollars? I would buy more comics if they were just a dollar cheaper. Makes me worry once five dollars is the norm. At least at DCBS, they will always be a dollar cheaper, so that should keep me in this expensive hobby for an extra year or so.

AVENGERS NOW!
THE OHOTMU TEAM, LED BY MIKE O’SULLIVAN & JEFF CHRISTIANSEN
Cover by SARA PICHELLI
• The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe is back with 64 pages of all-new profiles!
• Every new member: Angela! Captain Universe (Devoux)! Nightmask (Adam)! The Superior Spider-Man! And more!
• Enemies: The Apocalypse Twins! The Black Order! Magnitron! A.I.M.’s Scientist Supreme, Andrew Forson!
• Allies: Nick Fury! Phil Coulson! Nova (Sam Alexander)! Avengers Underground’s Hazmat!
• The entire Avengers roster makes an appearance thanks to an Update Appendix for every single member!
64 PGS./Rated T+ …$4.99 Handbook
A New handbook! I do love these things. Five dollars is a bit much for just text pieces with a companion piece of art. Hopefully the X-Men get one of these. If I can fit it in my budget, I will try to get this but its an easy thing to cut as well.
LEGENDARY STAR-LORD #6
SAM HUMPHRIES• PACO MEDINA (A/C)
• Peter desperately attempts to keep a phone date with Kitty while simultaneously getting wrapped up with Mister Knife and his crew!
32 PGS./Rated T …$3.99
Kitty is in the solict! Let’s hope that he is make that call! Probably on the last page. Probaby a comic full of mentions of Kitty, or at least, thoughts about her.
HAWKEYE VS. DEADPOOL #3 (OF 5)
GERRY DUGGAN• MATTEO LOLLI (A)
Cover by JAMES HARREN
• The baddest brawlers in Brooklyn continue to tear up the town in the next issue of HAWKEYE VS DEADPOOL!
• So Black Cat’s been brainwashing goons and dressing them as super heroes, huh? Good thing Hawkeye and Deadpool are on the case.
• If they can stop fighting amongst each other, that is.
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
Is Black Cat a villain now? When did this happened? Is that why she is so mad at Spider-Man, for something that Doctor Octopus set in motion? Sort of cool now, that I typed that, as Otto and Felicia do have some history together. Her first big lost came at the hands of Doctor Octopus. So was Spider-Man’s, now that I think of it. I’m doing a lot of thinking based off of this solict.
THOR #3
JASON AARON• RUSSELL DAUTERMAN (A/C)
• Lifting the enchanted hammer Mjolnir has transformed a mysterious woman into an all-new version of the mighty Thor.
• But what happens when she’s separated from that hammer?
• Plus, Frost Giants! ROXXON! And oh yeah, whatever happened to the guy who used to carry that hammer?
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
She just gets the hammer then loses it immediately? That isn’t going to make the ladies happy once news gets out. I’m not happy about it either.
HULK #9
GERRY DUGGAN• MARK BAGLEY (A/C)
AN X-MAN COMETH FOR THE “OMEGA HULK”
• DOC GREEN says “Hello, KITTY!” The PRYDE of the X-MEN guest stars.
• Plus – BRUCE BANNER returns! …But in what shape?
• And – a recently de-powered HULK is placed in mortal danger.
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
This is finally happening! Been excited about this for two months and I still have to wait another three!
Nice that Kitty is on two covers this month! Duggan said Magik was suppose to be in this as well. I wonder if it’s an arc or a done-in-one. So excited!
Kitty and Hulk haven’t really interacted much over the years, so this could go in any direction. Maybe she’s checking in on the Hulk now that Wolverine is dead.
It will be nice to read a comic drawn by Mark Bagley again. It has been too long!
ALL-NEW ULTIMATES #11
MICHEL FIFFE• AMILCAR PINNA (a)
Cover by DAVID NAKAYAMA
HOLO (HEROES ONLY LIVE ONCE)!
• There’s a new crime empress in town! ECSTASY’S her name and she’ll finish the job even GALACTUS couldn’t: kill the ULTIMATES.
• Who’s got the team’s back? Perhaps a private squad made up of renegade cops calling themselves TERROR INC.?
• It’s “eye for an eye” when the ULTIMATES reach bone crunching heights in their battle with TASKMASTER. • Plus the return of CROSSBONES!
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
Just one issue this month, that’s pretty good. If the rumor can be believed, should be only one issue to go.
Finally the X-Men section! Nice how it segues from the Ultimate section.
ALL-NEW X-MEN #36
BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS• MAHMUD ASRAR (A/C)
• The Ultimate face-off you KNEW was bound to happen! All-New X-Men versus the Ultimate X-Men! But when both side are heroes, who can be the victor? And what side does this leave Miles Morales, the Ultimate Spider-Man on?
32 PGS./Rated T …$3.99
So all of the Ultimate X-Men show up except for Kitty as she’s busy over with the Ultimates. Shoot! and Dang it! Wait, but Spider-Man is there, so if he has time to take off from the Ultimates, Kitty should be able to as well!
UNCANNY X-MEN #29
BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS• CHRIS BACHALO (A/C)
• Everything over the last several months has been leading to this—a turning point for the X-Men. And it all revolves around their deceased former mentor and leader, Professor Charles Xavier!
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99
Of course, nearly everybody is on the cover to this but one Kitty Pryde. What is happening!?! At least Magik showed up. Who would have thought a storyline revolving around a reading of a Will would take so long!
I’m under the impression that the gal to the right of Emma is Rachel and not Kitty.
Alex Ross has done yet another X-Men cover that doesn’t have Kitty Pryde on it, as well. Come on, folks!
UNCANNY X-MEN ANNUAL #1
BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS• Andrea Sorrentino (A/C)
VARIANT COVER BY DUSTIN NGUYEN
THE SECRET LIFE OF EVA BELL – Part 1
• Part one of the epic two-part tale of the time-manipulating mutant Eva Bell’s greatest secret.
• Losing control of her powers, Eva disappeared during a training exercise in Tabula Rasa. Reappearing shortly thereafter, she seemed older and far more weathered, but refused to offer an explanation.
• But where did her powers take her? Or maybe the better question is when? And what could she have endured to cause her to keep her story secret from her fellow X-Men?
40 PGS./Rated T+ …$4.99
Been waiting for this for quite some time. Amazing how Tempus hasn’t been used much.
ALL-NEW X-MEN ANNUAL #1
BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS• Andrea Sorrentino (A/C)
VARIANT COVER BY DUSTIN NGUYEN
THE SECRET LIFE OF EVA BELL – Part 2
• Part two of Eva Bell’s journey through the ages!
• With limited control over her powers, and even less control over her destinations, Eva had believed herself lost in time.
• But just when she had come to accept this as truth, her world was once again ripped asunder as she is once again sent tumbling through time.
40 PGS./Rated T+ …$4.99
Odd as that All New is losing their annual to tell an Uncanny member’s story. But that’s my old fashion publication ways rearing its head.
I just noticed that these are both five dollars, December is going to be so expensive!
DEADPOOL’S ART OF WAR #3 (OF 4)
PETER DAVID• SCOTT KOBLISH (A/C)
• You think you know war?
• DEADPOOL DOESN’T.
• Err…by which I mean, Deadpool doesn’t think you know war. Not that Deadpool doesn’t know war.
• Because he does know war, that’s sort of the point. He’s teaching you about war in this series. Sorry for the confusion.
32 PGS./Parental Advisory …$3.99
This is a funny write up!
CYCLOPS #8
JOHN LAYMAN• JAVIER GARRON (A)
COVER BY ALEXANDER LOZANO
• The cutthroat space-pirate crew Scott Summers has joined up with is rampaging across space, plundering, and cutting throats. And now Scott is expected to cut throats with them!
• Exactly how far will Scott go to save his skin – and to rescue his captive father?
• At least on the romance front there’s some good news: Scott’s discovered there are other girls in the universe besides Jean Gray.
• But let’s just hope the pirate captain doesn’t discover Scott’s got his eye on his daughter. (Get it? “Eye on his daughter.” That’s a Cyclops joke right there!)
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99[editor’s note: According to Marvel, “Ms. Marvel, Silver Surfer and Iron Fist: The Living Weapon are not in the December solicits, these titles are not cancelled. They will resume in January with new issues.”]
Another fun write up!
I would not have notice that Ms. Marvel, Silver Surfer nor Iron Fist had solcits unless Newsarama’s editor pointed it out.

112 PGS./Rated T …$16.99
ISBN: 978-0-7851-9159-9
I can vouch for issues one and three as being good. Once again, it is a better deal than if you bought the monthly issues as they came out.
. . .
So here is what I said I was tempted to buy :
AXIS 7 & 8 $4 each
AXIS 9 $5
AXIS Revolution 3 $4
Avengers NOW! $5
Legendary Star Lord 6 $4
Hulk 9 $4
All New X-Men 36 $4
Uncanny X-Men 29 $4
Uncanny X-Men Annual 1 $5
All New X-Men Annual 1 $5
52 dollars! But that’s 11 issues, so that seems decent. Here is hoping that DCBS can knock that down. I’m committed to just doing the one monthly shipment, so that should keep the price down. Also, I just won’t get that Handbook. Its about the Avengers, so who cares.
That will bring it down to $47, so should make the comics around 35 or so (I still don’t know how the math works). I’m sure its 20 percent per issue but percentages is my main weakness in terms of math skills.
I Googled “what is 20 percent of 47” and it states 9.4 so roughly $37.60. The percentage I save is essentially the shipping of it all.
EDIT on 10-8-14 :
I had forgotten to carry All New Ultimates 11 down to my buying list! This should be interesting!
So all 12 comics gets be $30.58 as the subtotal. Let’s see how much single shipping and bags and boards cost me at DCBS.
I know I do this every month but DCBS is pretty awesome!
Bags and Boards $1.44
Standard Shipping $6.95
Brings my total to $38.97! I’m able to add a comic and get the Avengers Handbook – which I’m pretty sure I don’t need. All for under $40, that is outstanding!

Shouldn’t be too bad this Holiday shipping! Won’t know how it actually works out until November but reviews are already dealyed as it is so stick with me and here’s hoping it isn’t too crazy. But for that price, one really can’t lose!
