            So we watched Winter Solider over the weekend and my wife wanted to know what the differences between Winter Soldier comic and the film and what is he up to these days.             Seems like one of these issues, the X-Men discover exactly how Wolverine died, so that’s one question done. Shogun isn’t on any of these covers or in the write-up so I may skip these. I was going to write this at the end but I’m going to be working at Hastings again, and with the discount, I’ll only be paying maybe twenty cents more than DCBS, so I might as well just buy this series like that. I’ll put myself on the pull list and no longer have any problems with this title. I’ll go back to my plan of buying the Shogun covers / solicits and worry about the rest as they come out, that should save some money.

             To me, it seems like only issue 16 is worthy getting, unless you are a Mystique fan. Which makes sense, keep each month’s worth of titles as a spotlight on one particular character, treat them like a loose miniseries.

So if you buy this, you will be set for Secret Wars III or 2015? It really seems like they are just going with, Secret Wars, but that is pretty silly. But Marvel has always gone out of their way to call it “Marvel Super-Heroes Secret Wars” but really, who calls it that? I guess I’m going to go with Secret Wars 2015 and hope for the best.

So I count 17 comics at $25.22 – I did not count on Secret Wars 2015 1 being on the list.  I’m glad I saw it or I would be scrambling to get that issue.

I found this great website that has made doing my current reviews so much easier, so I’m not messing around with various shipping options any more, I’m just going to go ahead and do once a month shipping going forward.

So with shipping and bags & boards, my total is $34.21 – which for 17 comics, I feel is pretty good!  Those dollar comics are sixty cents at DCBS, so that’s pretty awesome.

That all looks pretty great to me.

I do feel a tad silly ordering All New X-Men 40 & 41, if Kitty is going to be in space and Magik not showing up but if the rumors of the Utopians are the Ultimate X-Men in the proper Marvel Universe, I better play it safe and get them.

I do like Kurt dealing with Logan’s death. Does seem silly as he just came back from the dead, so why would anyone think that Logan isn’t going to do the same? Also, Wolverine went to Hell, only a few years ago and came back. This shouldn’t be such a big deal.

Though I must admit, that my issue with AXIS is that it is coming at the same time as Death of Wolverine but it looks like I’m not dealing with that one as much so maybe I can throw a bone towards AXIS.

Thus far, I only own issues two and three, and I would say this is still pretty missable but Marvel’s crossovers all depend on the final issue. If you are going to skip their events, I recommend at least getting the final issue of all of them.

So, if you are like me and bought these as individual issues, it cost us $15 so for one more dollar, you could get them bound. That seems like a decent deal. The Uncanny X-Men Special is the only one that has come out thus far, but I liked it. Actually with DCBS, I’m sure it came to $12, so that’s another reason to make the switch to online purchases.

This reminds me, for November and December, I probably will try to do Monthly shipping to save money with the Holidays coming up.  I wonder if we should have done that this month but I didn’t think about it until after I clicked Checkout.  Next time!

            Last month, I questioned why the Pulse issues were not included in the Alias Omnibus. I reckon an extra 14 issues would have made it a real bear to carry and deal with.

So my official buying list is :

for a total of $29, which isn’t bad. It should be under $40 and I can do weekly shipping again.

Speaking of which, the other day I got my first shipment from DCBS, All New X-Men 27 and All New Ultimates 2 and they were packed with care and it only took a week to get to me as it went Parcel Post. Not too shabby.
