The Sanctum Sanctorum of the Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange. Years Ago. Illyana teleports into Doctor Strange’s home. He’s not in the lobby.
Magik looks around and doesn’t find him. Until she makes it to the bedroom and sees that he’s been attending Clea.
The way Strange acts, I guess he and she have a mutually agreed time she visits. Appointments, if you will. So her showing up, unexpectedly, must be upsetting. They have a rule where she doesn’t hint at anything about his future to him. She is there to get advice on how to deal with Matthew Malloy.
Is it fun to come up with all of this mystical names? It has to be, right?
Devil’s Tower, Right Now. Cyclops is telling Matty M to not be impress with the great and powerful, Magneto. I like how Cyclops pretty much shuts Magneto down before he can even create any momentum. Magneto’s helmet can even prevent Malloy’s powers.
Malloy doesn’t want to waste any time with Magneto and teleports him back to the New Xavier School, just like he did with Cyclops two issues ago.

After hearing Magneto’s tale, Tempus wants to do something. Celeste overhears her thoughts and tells her to forget that route. Tempus really doesn’t like her mind being read. This is what I foresaw, once the Uncanny / All New X-Men Annuals happened, Tempus would be back in the book. She’s wearing the school uniform that Frank Quitely made famous.
I really adore Bendis continuing the concept of Celeste using should-be-forgotten X-Characters to express her humor.
The students agree, that it is a good idea to confront Xavier. Though senior students are hesitant.
Jean Grey School. Look, it is Doop and Kitty in the same room! I wish they exchanged a look or something!
Kitty always suspects that something went wrong, that way, she is typically right. Dazzler hopes Mystique is going to appear, so she can get her revenge.
Beast has to admit that the human race is failing the X-Men. Also, that the flatscans are sending an attack.
Cyclops is still trying to convince Matty M to join his side.
Magik appears with the Eye of Agamotto. I can’t believe Doctor Strange parted with it.
Is it me or does that page above look like it isn’t drawn by Bachalo? Maybe it is the coloring.
The eye will reveal if Matt is the hero they need or the villain they deserve.
The humans attack and count them, three skeletons! This is clearly not how Magik dies (I hope) but we have to wait to figure it out.
Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. Years Ago. Bendis finally gets to pay off Raze’s comments he made in Uncanny X-Men V3 13, during Battle of the Atom. Raze tested out of the Time Cube and saw Xavier drinking tea in the garden.

Issue ends with Tempus, in her proper miniskirt uniform. Next issue should be pretty exciting. At least we know that time travel is involved so Magik will be saved.
