Bloodshot 12

Writer Duane Swierczynski

Penciler Barry Kitson

Inkers Stefano Gaudiano with Barry Kitson

Color Art Brian Reber

Letters Rob Steen

Cover Dated June 2013

Cover Artists Kalman Andrasofszky, Patrick Zircher and Matthew Waite

To start, I don’t have much experience, that I know of, with Valiant.  I enjoyed that first trade of Sonar, the Solar Man.  So I don’t now Bloodshot and there is a Harbinger Wars banner on the cover but I can’t tell if anything in this issue builds towards that or is dealing with it.  Also, and I sort of like this policy, there are no ads in this issue, besides house ads.  Apparently, the summer of Valiant is back, so there are a few first issues coming out.

Luckily there is a recap that might cover the previous eleven issues, from the three paragraphs.  I’ll try to summarize with what takes place in the issue itself.  Project Rising Spirit (PRS) Frankenstein monster-ed Bloodshot into existence, so he can be the perfect weapon.  He has a healing factor, due to these nanites, that also give him – strength, speed and control over computers.  He has no memory – which is when I start getting the Wolverine vibe, Bloodshot even has artificial memories!  His main purpose is to collect psiots – super powered children.

HIs former handler, Kuretich, freed Bloodshot of his programming.  The nanites go by the name, Goldie Boy, and Bloodshot made a friend of EMT Kara Murphy.  Together, they attacked the facility that created him, and escaped with a group of psiots. They all have been on the run ever since.  The Harbinger Foundation founder, Toyo Harada, who is also a telekinetic and telepath – of course – comes after the group.  Bloodshot fought Harada (this paragraph is a tad confusing, I imagine it is explaining the past four or five issues), and was badly hurt and his healing factor was maxed out.  Luckily, he had a protocol that created a pulse that knocked Harada out and Bloodshot, Murphy and the psiots got away, which is where this issue picks up from.

But first, we have a flashback.  Project Rising Spirit Facility.  Nevada Desert.  Years Ago.  Kuretich is saying farewell to Bloodshot, before his programming goes live.

Now.  Kuretich is trying to kill Bloodshot, as he wants to use the psiots (a word I seem to not be able to memorize) for his own means.  Bloodshot’s limbs have been cut (he is currently missing his left arm and right leg) and his already taxed healing factor is barely functional.

Three Hours Earlier (Revenge style!).  Bloodshot wants his revenge!  Murphy wants him to abandon that goal and take the psiots to Las Vegas, where they will be safe.  The kids are getting hungry.

Quantum and Wood’s first issue is coming out, I heard the series was very funny.

Murphy asks Bloodshot to locate the nearest place for food and he directs them to Gangemi Meat Solutions, which does not thrill the children, at all.  Of course, this is all a set up as PRS has caught up to the group.

X-O Manowar issue 15 is coming out.  I played a very difficult video game of him and Iron Man together – which I wonder how the copyright on that worked.  It just wasn’t any fun.

Bloodshot is inside the meat processing plant and the military is gassing those inside the car, so that they fall asleep.   Bloodshot is doing against the military guys but they start cutting deeply into his limbs.

Inside Bloodshot’s Mental Space.  Since Goldie Boy is gone, Bloodshot has to manually force the nanonites to perform their tasks.

Bloodshot issue zero is coming out.  He also has a Bloodshot and H.A.R.D.Corps issue 14 coming out.  He must be a big deal in the Valiant Universe.

Bloodshot gets his nanonites to shut down the power in the center, so the kids are able to break out of the vehicle.

Bloodshot finally regains his senses and kills the soldiers and Kuretich.  I like one of the cows going, moo?

Bloodshot kills the militiary guards on the outside and the issue ends with him deciding that the children are more important and will take them to Las Vegas.  He also gives them steaks to eat.

Eternal Warrior 1 is coming out, issue 13 of Bloodshot states to bet on Bloodshot.

Letters from Keith Etheridge / Comic Creator Robert Venditti and Andrew from Texas.

Back cover adveritses – Harbinger Wars 4 / Harbinger 14 / Bloodshot 13 / Archer & Armstrong 11 / X-O Manowar 15 and Shadowman 8.

Big Brother 17 – Sunday – August 30, 2015

Posted by John Klein III on August 31, 2015
Posted in: Reality Television. Tagged: BB17, Big Brother. Leave a comment

Who officially wins HoH?  Vanessa!  Which Juror returns?  John!  Does this Endurance challenge make Big Brother history?  Yes!  In a good way?  No!

In Retro Big Brother, we are on Season Seven, Episode Eight.

I haven’t really missed any of these Jurors.

Julia is out first.
Steve is second
Meg is third, so fast!
James is fourth out
Liz is out fifth, after getting the disc she was standing on, goes up her butt.

The only ones left are Vanessa and the four Jurors.

Did Becky not get a DR session?

Jackie is first Juror out and sixth, over all
Becky is out seventh, she does get a moment in the DR
Shelly is out, eighth and John is officially back!

Who drops next, John or Vanessa?

I forgot that Super Mario Make came out, it is a proper Mario game, but with a gimmick, right?  We love Mario games, over here.  Well, the proper ones.  Parties and Sports, not as much.  Oh, well, we do enjoy the Kart games.

Vanessa yells at John, that he is safe but he tries to hold on.  Vanessa wants to hear from her girlfriend, Mel.  He drops.  Vanessa is HoH, they are not telling us the time frame but it was barely ten minutes.  We are 14 minutes into the episode, so we essentially saw the whole competition.

I’m so glad that John is back.

John and Steve really are back on good terms.  John is also going to start working Vanessa.  Vanessa has to get AusTwins out of the house!  One of those three are definitely going to win this season.

Before Eviction, Steve and Vanessa made up.  Steve says they are the Detonators of the season, which means they are going to implode, soon.

Meg, who is 25, gets to address the Grand Ma nickname.  She gets hurt, a lot, in the house.

Vanessa wants to go after Meg and James.  She convinces AusTwins that it is okay to not to go for John and Steve, this week.

Austin makes his and Liz’s relationship official.  He would like to date her, outside of the house.  This won’t last.  So now he isn’t dating the other girl anymore.  Which is still pretty shitty.  Liztin, is their couple name.  The worst

To get back as James, Julia is going to prank Austin – as he is an easier target.  Now that she has earned experience, she is ready for the Final Boss – James.

Vanessa confronts Meg and James.  James volunteers to be a pawn for Meg, which makes her cry.  James recalls that he made a deal with Vanessa (prior to Final Seven), but doesn’t go to remind her.

Nominations – Meg and James!  So James should have reminded her.

. . .

Big Brother 17 ends on September 23rd, so for my comic reading visitors, the Big Brother posts shall end soon.  For my pure Big Brother visitors, I hope you’ve been enjoying the comic reviews and keep coming around.

Thanks to everyone for coming when you do, I really appreciate it!

Big Brother 17 – Thursday – August 27, 2015

Posted by John Klein III on August 30, 2015
Posted in: Uncategorized. Leave a comment

Who goes home, John or Steve?  Well, John does but he comes right back for the shortest endurance competition, of all time – barely over ten minutes!  Let’s try to get excited but Sunday’s show isn’t going to be grand.

Screw it, Vanessa won HoH, so it is going to be another sleeper week.

Episode 29.

In Retro Big Brother, we are on the final episode of Season Six!

Day 68.

Vanessa crying again.

Liz confronts John about blowing up their games, or attempting to do so.  He thought he was going home and he thought that alliance was over.  Liz plays dumb but he’s smart so it does make sense.  He’s playing an honest game.

Someone needs to get AusTwins out of the house or they are going to win this nonsense.

Steve doesn’t have an easy time talking to Vanessa.  Once she starts crying, I lose all interest.  Shame that John is no longer working with Steve.

The Twins want to work with John but I wouldn’t trust it.

We go home to James’ drinking buddies.  They also don’t know that winning Big Brother isn’t a prank.  There isn’t many people in that bar, watching Big Brother.  James has a cat, Gizmo.  We know James has a crush on Meg, as he has said it!

Speeches.  John admits that they are both big dorks.  Steve kissed Meg in a game of Spin the Bottle!  Good for Steve!  Apparently, it was awkward.

The Votes, apparently they were still indecisive

Meg – John
James – John
Vanessa – John
It is Official, he is out of there!  For now
Julia – John
Liz – John

Chen can’t read a cue card tonight

There were some fun hallway interactions.  Vanessa reeling in James, Liz and Julia ignoring each other.

Zingbot’s Twitter page has gone silent.  I thought we would get a few more, on Big Brother nights, at least.

Can Julie Chen ruin an interview with John?  Yes, she can.  She should just get out of his way.  John and Steve are still cool.  John wants to go after Meg.

Jury House.  Shelly and Jackie get along well.  They are surprised to see Becky.  Becky got an infection under her toe!  What are the odds!?!

The Four Jurors get to compete, along with the other houseguests.

What design is on Julia’s butt of her shorts?  It isn’t very good.

Meg has a joker smile!

Next Thursday, another Double Eviction, which makes sense as they have another returning houseguest.

Steve and Julia are out, and Meg falls on live television!

Daily Bugle 6 New Fantastic Four

Cover Dated February 2007

This was a clever idea Marvel tried, to promote future storylines as if they were newspaper stories.  I own this one and the second issue with the Astonishing X-Men on the cover.

Storm and Black Panther are joining the team as, after Civil War, Reed and Sue wanted to work on their marriage.

Marvel Zombies Army of Darkness 1

Apparently, I am keeping this due to the article regarding the upcoming Army of Darkness v Marvel Zombies.  Which apparently is enough to get me to keep a comic.

. . .

With this, we conclude Fantastic Four Month!  This is our last Event Month (that I can tell) for the year.  There will be my anual Anniversary Posts in November but that’s about it.

I need to work on how I end these Month events, as Ant-Man’s didn’t end on a high note either.

So look forward to a slew of Comic Reviews in September and October!  We have a lot to go through, as my Comics To Be Reviewed, are way prior to Secret Wars 2015 1 and the fifth issue of that series is out already.

Fantastic Four Volume Three Issue 8

Posted by John Klein III on August 28, 2015
Posted in: Review. Tagged: Claremont, Conversations, Fantastic Four, Larroca, Liquid!, Lockheed. Leave a comment

Fantastic Four V3 8

Writer Chris Claremont

Penciler Salvador Larroca

Inks Art Thibert

Colors Liquid!

Letters RS / Comiccraft / DL

Cover Dated August 1998

I own this for the awesome chess set, but we will get to that later.

Issue opens with Reed Richards, Invisible Woman and Thing fighting off the Captain Britain Corps, minus one important one.

There is an ad for Small Soldiers, a decent little film.  This is one of those movies, with a super young Kirsten Dunst, that when I see her nowadays, she reminds me of how old Tommy Lee Jones must be these days.

The Human Torch shows up, wanting a set-rep but there isn’t any time.  Franklin is annoyed that this fight over him is even happening.  He kick starts his family’s powers that they are working on a massive power surge.  Johnny goes supernova in the sky and burns hotter than ever before.

Johnny grabs Gatecrasher and learns who the key factors are.  Human Torch demands an audience with Opal Luna-Saturnyne, the Omniversal Mastrex.  We see Roma is sitting at a chess board.  The previous people who met with Saturnyne, was the cosmic identities – Eternity and Infinity.  So Johnny knows how big of a deal this is.

Fantastic Four V3 8 Kitty Lockheed Marvel Chess Set

Now, that is a Marvel Chess Set I would buy!

I wonder how the script was written.  Did Claremont specify which characters to feature?

CC : Larroca, you may include anyone you want, just make sure you have the Fantastic Four and Kitty Pryde.
SL : Chris, may I call you Chris?
CC : No
SL : Chris, how do I make sure it is Kitty Pryde?
CC : You beautifully colored artist you, you put Lockheed on her shoulders and call it good.

Or something like that.

I like the idea of Saturnyne and Roma being used here.  I’m sure they should be used in those Incursions in the New Avengers stories by Hickman.

I really enjoy seeing Human Torch stepping up and stepping up and confronting Saturnyne and Roma.  He always seems to have one foot ready to go out of the door.  Thing talks a big game but he’s never really going to leave.

Franklin has given all of his family members a power boost.  Torch’s Nova Flame was as strong as a sun burst but now it is as hot as the sun itself.  Reed can stretch from the Earth to the Moon.  Sue can crush tanks now.  Thing is small moon destroying strong.

Not to mention that Franklin created Counter-Earth and sustained it for a year.  Good thing he is being raised by loving parents.

Saturnyne is tempted to destroy Earth, to keep Franklin’s powerset under control.  Johnny makes a bargain that the Fantastic Four will watch Franklin and if they fail, all five of them will be prisoners of Saturnyne.  The day is saved!

We learn from Gatecrasher that the real New York City was never in jeopardy of the Fantastic Four / Captain Britain Corps battle.  It looked like the Corps appeared in front of them but really, the team showed up in front of the Corps, as they were in a pocket dimension.  Pretty clever!

There are a few pages of the abandoned Jose Landronn Fantastic Four / Inhumans project.  He is still my favorite Cable artist, as his and Joe Casey’s run on the title is still the only readable Cable solo title.

Letters this issue are from – Brian Elliott, of unknown whereabouts, Frank Sutherland of Stafford, VA, Scot W. Myers of Davidson, NC and Steve Wissinger of Cairo, IL.

Issue Nine promises to have a classic old school team-up of Spider-Man and the Human Torch.  I remember it being pretty good.

Big Brother 17 – Wednesday – August 26, 2015

Posted by John Klein III on August 27, 2015
Posted in: Reality Television, Websites. Tagged: BB17, Big Brother. Leave a comment

Who wins PoV?  How amazing is ZingBot?  Totally, is the answer to that!  Will they use the Veto?

Is there a reason why ZingBot couldn’t be used for a week, a la BBTakeover?  Since he’s an extension of Production?

In Retro Big Brother, we are on Season Six, Episode 26 – Will Howie or April go home?  Most likely, Howie.

Steve and John want to win the Veto, but Steve – you both can’t win veto.

James climbs into Julie’s closet to give a giant spook!  John and Vanessa are so scared!

Picking Veto Players –

Austin – Vanessa (boo!)
John – Meg
Steve – Julia (right after she complained about never being picked)

Zingbot!

I love Zingbot so much!

He was about to fall over a chair but Julia saved him.

Zingbot is newly single, he got an upgrade – Zingbot 9000!  He’s on twitter, me too!  @jackalsiii @zingbotofficial

James – He’s heard Meg is taking him some place, very special – the friendzone.  She’s out of his league
Liz – He’s confused, she’s less attractive, less intelligent, less charming – oh wait, that’s just Julia
Steve – What’s less cool than a trombone, who cries for his mommy?  Nothing!
Will someone take out the trash, it stinks in here.  That’s just Austin
Meg – You’re New York attitutde is very Sex in the City, her gameplan is Sucks in the City
John – 5 out of 5 dentist agree, the only thing less attractive than his laugh is his back hair
Vanessa – She’s been playing a masterful game, assuming that game is the crying game!
Liz – She’s become such an important part of his life, is she more excited to meet his Mother, Father or his girlfriend.

So great!  Poor Zingbot is single, but what about his baby!

Liz finally addresses the Austin / girlfriend thing.  He’s been dating her for 18 months.  Neither one is great, just break up with whoever you are with, before joining the house.

I do feel for John’s comments, as I’m a hairy guy and that isn’t great to have pointed out.  James had a good rebuttal too.

The Comp.  There is popcorn and candy and a television set – for James and Liz to watch.  They are in Zingbot’s Bachelor Pad.  He’s been using Zinder.

We were just talking about how the ‘merged faces’ were a stable of this show but has gone away in the past several years.  Not since Rachel dominated in it.

Julia gets to watch the rest.  Julia got 4:45:7.  Steve is next.  Steve was on the last one but couldn’t beat Julia’s time.  Austin gets stuck on the third face, like the other two.  He kept guessing Liz’s features, when it wasn’t her, at all.  Vanessa is up next.  Vanessa got 2:51, so she is save.

Tweets by ZingbotOfficial

Tweets by JackalsIII

John is up next.  He doesn’t complete it.  Meg is up last.  Meg can’t point out her own nose, so funny!  It is what has everyone stuck on.  She also doesn’t complete.

Vanessa talks to John, she clearly isn’t going to use it on him.  He tells her that he isn’t holding grudges about Becky or Clay.  Was he even close to Clay?  John knows that the house wants to keep Steve.

John tells Vanessa about the plan to get her out of the house, last week.

People are just now talking about the concept of John coming right back, that’s who I want back!

I decided to start following the winners of Big Brother.  Drew Daniel went to jail, and doesn’t have a Twitter page.  Maggie Ausburn is also not on Twitter.

Vanessa is confronting John, he is running out of breath.  She’s so exhausting.  She’s crying!

Surprisingly, Boogie isn’t on Twitter either.  I’m not surprised Adam Jasinski isn’t on Twitter, as he is a horrible human being.  One of the reasons why I didn’t want to do this before.

Speeches, Steve knows she won’t use it on him.  John has some fun.  Vanessa tries to explain why she is so mad.  She burns Steve’s game.

Vanessa won’t be using veto.

http://www.cbs.com/shows/big_brother/news/1002470/

That link has the winners.

I wasn’t going to add Eddie McGee, as Season One isn’t even the real Big Brother but he isn’t on Twitter, so that’s okay.  15 winners, and only four are not on Twitter, that’s pretty impressive.

Fantastic Four Volume Three Issue 7

Posted by John Klein III on August 26, 2015
Posted in: Review, Websites. Tagged: Claremont, CSBG, Fantastic Four, Larroca, Liquid!. Leave a comment

Fantastic Four V3 7

Writer Chris Claremont

Penciler Salvador Larroca

Inker Arthur Thibert

Colorist Liquid!

Letterer Starkings and Comicraft’s Albert Deschesne

Cover Dated July 1998

This is the second part of a three part storyline, but Kitty is only seen in this issue.  Issues 6, 7 and 8 are the issues involved.

I’ve said it before but Larroca’s art is never better than it is with Liquid! coloring his work.  Shame they no longer do that.  Not sure whatever happened to that company.

Claremont wrote some of the best Fantastic Four issues with this volume, issues 4 through 32.

Alyssa Moy is running with Franklin, from the Technet.  Unfortunately, they run into the Warwolves.

The Rainbow Room.  Reed and Susan are dancing.

The Technet are planning their next move.

Fantastic Four V3 7 Kitty 1

Alyssa Moy tries to save Franklin by running away.  All the poor boy wants is his mother.  He lets out a psychic scream.

We get to see Larroca draw – Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Roma Jean Grey and Shadowcat! I can only imagine Claremont wrote which characters to have shown.  Roma sets up the next issue, which is classic Claremont style.

This issue came out the same month as Excalibur 122, so that series was already set to end.  Claremont had asked to have Kitty be Franklin’s nanny.  What he didn’t know was that she was already set to be in the X-Men 35th Anniversary era lineup.  Which I rather she was part of that lineup than off being Franklin’s nanny.  It took a while for Squirrel Girl to shake being the Cage’s nanny.

http://secretsbehindthexmen.blogspot.com/2012/06/changing-x-men-directions.html

X-Men characters in Fantastic Four

Meanwhile, Chris Claremont wrote Fantastic Four vol.3 #4-32 and used some X-Men-related characters like Roma, Saturnyne, Charlotte Jones and Margali Szardoz in the book. Claremont would also have liked to use Kitty Pryde (Shadowcat) in Fantastic Four, since Excalibur was getting cancelled anyway. Her role would have been working as Reed Richards’ laboratory assistant – an idea which probably came from Uncanny X-Men #178, wherein Kitty Pryde broke into the Fantastic Four’s headquarters and thought: “I wonder if Dr. Richards’d like an apprentice?”

“The only problem was (X-Men Editor) Mark Powers and the writers of the X-Men books had other plans for her,” Claremont sighed in Wizard #85. “Their wishes take precedence.”

I like the idea of Kitty being Reed’s assistant, I could be for that.

http://goodcomics.comicbookresources.com/2006/09/07/comic-book-urban-legends-revealed-67/

Good ol’ Brian Cronin brought up the Urban Legend and gives some background on it, as well.  He reports that the plan was Kitty to be like a sister to Sue, which I get as her brother is pretty lacking, in that respect.  Boy, Kitty really could be an excellent fifth over on that team.

Back to the story.  Alyssa is no longer running scared, now she is running smart.  She taps into the grid and sends a signal that she hopes someone see.  She runs through a dance club, we see that Johnny is there.  She and Franklin go outside and save some gangsters from some weirdly dressed ninja types.  This never pays off, as far as I know.  It definitely doesn’t take place in the next issue.  But it is Claremont writing, so he has plans.

There is an ad for Wolverine 126, also by Claremont, that we will review whenever we get around to using the Wolverine / Viper wedding for my wedding anniversary, which I believe should be next year.  It is billed as, The Brawl for it all, Wolverine vs Sabretooth – if only it was the end of that feud.

Reed and Susan are dancing when she notices a skyscraper that has a number 4 on it.  She creates an invisible slide and she is off.  She finds Franklin, so fast.  The Technet foolishly show up and Susan takes them all down.  Reed eventually shows up and gets into the fight, he frees Thing and now the tide is turning.

There is a promo page, I miss these so much these days, for the Spider-Man line of titles which was a pretty good era in May 1998.  Amazing 436, Spider-Man vs Black Tarantual by Tom DeFalco.  Spectacular 259, Hobgoblin is back by Roger Stern.  Sensational 29, Guest Starring The Black Cat by Todd Dezago and Mike Wieringo.  Spider-Man 93, the return of Ghost Rider by Howard Mackie, the big Ghost Rider writer of the 90s.

Joyboy turns Susan into an Atlantean Queen, her so-called heart’s desire.  This is super irritating that writers like to go back to this well of Susan maybe having attraction to Namor.  It is old hat.

Bullpen Bulletins.  Some titles coming out are – Marvel Annual 98 starring Deadpool & Death.  Alpha Flight 12, so good.  Busiek’s Iron Man 6.  Avengers : Rough Cut 1 by Busiek and Perez.  Generation X 40, featuring Penance.  X-Factor 147, two issues away from Mutant X starting!

Susan is disturbed that that was the form her heart’s desire took.

Before the Fantastic Three can declare a victory, the Captain Britain Corps arrives, as the issue ends.

Letters page has letters from – Robert Schell of San Antonio, TX, Matt Kuhns of Ames, IA, Tod Owens of Marlon, VA and Mark Passmore who withheld his address.

Inside back cover is for Funtography, the latest tech for the Game Boy, it allows you to print.  Back cover is Sarah Gellar’s Got Milk? ad.

Fantastic Four 600

Posted by John Klein III on August 25, 2015
Posted in: Review. Tagged: Epting - Steve, Fantastic Four, Hickman. Leave a comment

Fantastic Four 600

Writer Jonathan Hickman

Penciler Steve Epting

Inkers Rick Magyar with Steve Epting

Colorist Paul Mounts

Letterer VC’s Clayton Cowles

Cover Dated January 2012

I own a lot of Fantastic Four anniversary issues, is what I’ve learn from this Fantastic Four month.

This issue marks the 50th Anniversary and 600th issue of Fantastic Four.  It is also 104 pages (get it? with the four pages?).

I’m glad to finally write this review as I know that it goes FF 11 -> Fantastic Four 600 but I kept having to recheck it in the days leading up to this post.

This issue has five chapters, but I am only concentrating on the first one.

Latveria.  Doctor Doom, Nathaniel Richards and Alternate Reed Richards counterpart.

The Baxter Building.  Home of the Future Foundation.

The Other Side of Zero.  The Anti-Priest of Annihilus.

Attilan.  Floating Citadel of the Inhumans.

The Forever City.  The Reborn Supreme Intelligence of the Kree.

New York.  Earth’s Mightiest Heroes Assembled.

Anyone know what the difference between the different patterns on the Four’s uniforms?  Or why they were choosen?  I get that they represent the member, but why does Reed have a hollow top of the triangle.  Sue has a hollow right side.  Grimm has a hollow left side.  Spider-Man has his spider symbol.

I side with comicbookdb.com over Marvel Database as saying that Kitty Pryde is in this issue.

Fantastic Four 600 Kitty maybe

See in the middle panel, with all of the heroes?  There is a brunette with a yellow and blue uniform but a black mask.  So people think it is Mockingbird but it is clearly Kitty Pryde but with a mask on.  I say it is more that than Mockingbird wearing the wrong outfit and with the wrong colored hair.

But I’ve decided to leave Marvel Database alone, as I can’t say with hundred percent accuracy that this an official Shadowcat appearance.  From FF 11, we know she is present but like in the Sentry arc of New Avengers, just because we know she is around, doesn’t mean it is worth keeping the issue but I believe there is a chance that is suppose to be Kitty.

The gathered heroes are about to fight the invading Kree ships.

Even with the stakes at an all time high, Namor finds an opportunity to hit on Sue in front everybody.  Ben calls him on it.

Doctor Strange is fighting in a black business suit.

The Other Side of Zero.  The Anti-Priest and his crew are upset as the Kree attack is not the end of the world they had planned.  He seeks guidance from Annihilus.  He recommends starting their plan immediately.  They are going to siege the Baxter Building.

On the Other Side of the World.  Castle Doom.  For some reason, Nathaniel Richards is a young man instead of the age of a man whose son is in his fifties.

Kristoff, who is still around, surprisingly.  He is the man on the throne.  Nathaniel wants him to accept someone into the country.  Doom is a prisoner of Nathaniel’s.  Now that I have typed all of this, I believe Nathaniel Richards was the real name of Young Avengers’ Iron Lad.

Attilan.  Black Bolt, Medusa and the Inhumans are caught in the middle of Earth and the Kree attack.  Medusa wants them to leave but Black Bolt disagrees.

The art implies that there is a connection between Black Bolt and Supreme Intelligence.  Which doesn’t make any sense as Supreme Intelligence was only re-created in the previous issue.  Maybe it is only a transition panel, as next, we follow the Supreme Intelligence is chatting with Ronan the Accuser and his wife, Crystal.

The Supreme Intelligence reveals to the couple that long ago, the Accusers went around destroying the planets that the experiment that created the Inhumans, were also performed on.  Ronan was not a part of this.

Earth.  Captain America announces that they have pushed back the Kree.  Reed gives the nod to Susan, she pushes a force field through Iron Man’s armor.  The entire island of Manhattan is encased in a giant force field.  Now there is a crashed ship inside the force field.

The Baxter Building.  The kids are about to teleport the top three floors to the Moon, when some Negative Zone aliens appear.

Soho.  The Thing is on his way to save Alicia.  He brought along She-Hulk and Red Hulk.  They have to fight several Kree Sentries.

Baxter Building.  Alex Power is keeping back the aliens, as best as he can, alone.  Leech has control over his turning off others powers.

Val is ready to teleport the floors, once Alex makes it up the stairs.  I am not sure who this Bentley kid is.

Reed sees from a distance that the top three floors are gone.  Reed sends Spider-Man to make sure no one was left behind.

The Negative Zone aliens are about to open the portal to the Negative Zone.  Spider-Man starts fighting fools.  The portal opens, revealing . . .

Fantastic Four 600 Human Torch is back

So this issue, besides being the 600th issue, is also known for Human Torch coming back to the land of the living.  Hickman “killed” him off in an earlier issue, well, more like left him for dead in the Negative Zone.

There are additional stories, like the on-the-nose titled, What Happened to Johnny? but the main one is the reason why I bought this.

Big Brother 17 – Sunday – August 23, 2015

Who won the HoH comp?  It is Austin, and who does he nominate?  I know one of them is John.  Let’s try to get excited!  It just seems like another lost week.

Day 64.

Round One – Meg is out

Austin, in DR, does a call back to Jace and their air guitar – which only four people will remember.  This reminds me, that I have never been an Austin fan.

Round Two – Julia is out, due to a False Start

There is a minute pause.

Round Three – Vanessa is out, due to a False Start

Production must realize how horrible this comp was.

In Retro Big Brother, we are on Episode 20 of Season Six.

Round Four – John is out! NOOOO!

I do like how the screens have taunting messages.

Round Five – Steve is out, another false start!

James tries to psych Steve

Round Six – James is out and Austin wins!

This was as disappointing of a comp, as it was when we tried to watch it on the live feeds.

People are so concerned for having blood on their hands – just play the flipping game, yo!

BrassTacts – Austin / Liz / James / Meg but Austin is cool with everyone.

Whoever goes to Jury, may just come right back.

Austwins, is a pretty good name for that trio.  It took me a while, if they spelt it – AusTwins, I would have gotten it, quicker.

Vanessa has to be taken out, or she will win this thing.  No one else can compete with her final speech.  Or the other person will win for being NotVanessa.

Vanessa’s game talk is exhausting.

I like Austin choosing to talk to Steve, privately.  Vanessa must be getting Becky vibes, from Austin.  I’m glad Austin is able to see through Vanessa, as if she was a ghost.

Liz likes Austin, 93%.  He wore her down.  That’s how I got my wife.

Vanessa and Austin finally talk, privately and hash out some secrets.

Steve’s You Know You Wanna Watch, is delivered so awkwardly.  You can just tell that it was like the twelfth take and it was the best one.

Nominations – John & Steve, noooooooooooooooooooo!  Alliance is over!

Austin was wearing his Judas hat.

It is odd that Austin couldn’t just put John and James up, and make no one happy.  Austin gives an odd speech.
