Brian Wood

Not only is Brian Wood killing it on Ultimate X-Men, but he’s also murdering it on X-Men.  He has Ultimate Kitty at the forefront of that title and OG Kitty as not the lead character, but at least the third most important character.

That is a key different there.  X-Men is more of a cast title whereas Ultimate is clearly Kitty centric but things either happening from her, to her, or around her.  She is the focal character and either we take a break from her vantage point for a page but we are always checking in with her.

I know that Jubilee is suppose to be the main star of X-Men as the other members, besides Rachel, show up in at least one other title than this one.  Storm and Psylocke have Uncanny X-Force together, Rogue is in Uncanny Avengers, and Kitty has both All New X-Men and Wolverine and the X-Men, which from time to time, has a guest appearance by Storm.  Rachel has no other book, as does Jubilee.  Making her equal to Storm, as five issues into this new title, and Storm and Rachel have a clear disagreement on leadership and operating procedures.   Jubilee is the light character so she will steal the most scenes and has the baby, Shogo, who will also be helping in the stealing scenes department.

Ultimate Kitty doesn’t have to worry about such things.  She’s fighting Jean right now, so Jean steals the show, just like General Ross in the story arc previous, and Mach Two in the story behind that.  Once they are no longer the spotlight opposition, they disappear into the background – in Mack Two’s case, or disappear altogether in General Ross’s case.

Ultimate Rogue is in the picture, but she can be along with the plant life, then she doesn’t require too much attention.  Storm has a budding relationship with the farmer mutant as well as a friendship with Colossus.  Who in the Ultimate Universe is more Russian Mafia than Russian farmers, though I doubt anyone remembers Ultimate Colossus’ origins. If you can’t be one, might as well be the other, I suppose.  Ultimate Psylocke is on Mach Two’s side that means we barely get anything from her these days.

Now that I’m writing all of these, it dawns on me that both titles are predominately female cast.  Which makes sense as X-Men has always been known for their strong female roles, especially Giant Size X-Men 1 and forward. Maybe not so much pre-Giant Size, as it is hard to do with only Jean and Polaris. Have to at least have a few female members on a team to be predominately female.  With only Storm and Jean in the Giant Size cast, the X-Men proper didn’t become that way until at least 167 wherein Kitty was already on the team but Rogue made it three female team members.

The point is, that even with only a few characters, if you wanted strong female characters, you had to come to the X-Men.  Avengers may have a few female members, but they are nowhere near as interesting or layered as the X-Men.  Maybe Carol Danvers, but that’s largely due to her time with the X-Men and by Chris Claremont’s genius writing.  Then there is Wanda, who also has her roots in X-Men lore, but only her roots; she’s been Avenger proud since her fifth appearance.   Or something like that, if she isn’t paired with Vision, I have no true interest in her.  I started out my love for Avengers with the Kurt Buisek / George Perez run n the title.   Sue Richards is an awesome character, but being only one fourth of a title hurts that title’s record of strong females, but they do get She-Hulk from time to time.

Some how this became more about strong female characters than it did Brian Wood but the thing is, you can’t go wrong with Brian Wood.  And at some point, I might venture out into his indie work but for now, I am quite happy with his Ultimate and X-Men work.

Uncanny Avengers 11

Writer Rick Remender

Artist Daniel Acuna

Letterer VC’s Clayton Cowles

This is one of those issues, where the chances are quite high, if you have a favorite Marvel character, Acuna probably drew that character in this issue.

Uncanny Avengers 11 Magik Kitty

We get both Kitty and Magik in this issue.  I like on this page you get some of the Avengers proper and Uncanny X-Force.

The rest of the issue is mostly monologues from the Apocalypse Twins to Wanda.

I like that they actually named the former Montana city that Tabula Rasa is currently built on top of, Tucker Creek, Montana.  Don’t worry, fellow Montanians, it isn’t a real city.  But it sure sounds like a proper Big Sky city.

I like that the twins reference Wanda and Quicksilver, not the best role models to follow.

So this eras best mutant leaders are : Professor Xavier, Magneto, Havok, Cyclops, Archangel and Apocalypse.

That list is horrible, but I do like the one sentence description.  I wonder who built those statues, and were they confused when they made Havok’s?

Rogue and Sunspot have a nice conversation and understanding.

What is it about seeing Wolverine get a beat down, that is extremely enjoyable to watch?  Probably, after all of these years, if he is going to survive everything thrown at him, he might as well take a beating along the way.

Sentry and Thor’s battle is pretty intense too.  The less said about how Rogue knows Sentry, the better.   So dumb

If I was in a fight, and the other guy ripped off his own face, I am not sure I would want to continue that fight.  I may not be suitable for the Avengers.

Next issue promises to be intense, will Wanda follow the Twins’ plan?  We might find out.

Infinity 2

Part Two of Six

Once again, the X-Men only appear on one page, and only in one panel.

Infinity 2 Lockheed

But that one panel has . . . LOCKHEED!!!

And of the X-Men, he’s the only one actually doing anything to the Outriders.

That one panel has also piqued my interest in the Hunt miniseries.

The rest of the issue is pretty good.

Agent Brand is wearing a suit of armor built for her specific breast size.  That is one of those things in comics that your eyes see and your brain shrugs and moves on.  But what must the female armory look like with just thousands of breastplates built for various cup sizes?  Doesn’t eem practical to me.  Should be more like Fallout 3 where all the armor looks the same, and it all fits the same.  But then no one would wnt to buy that original page of art, I suppose.

That Solar Iron Man looks a tad better this issue, but I still feel like Captain America is making fun of it with Thor when those two chat.

The second best part of the issue is the Inhumans sections.  Which is smart, as it sets up the Inhumanity event.

I like that Corvus Glaive asks where the king is, and how Black Bolt’s thorne has this giant neon arrow pointing down to where he sits.

Is Medusa wearing silk lingerie?  The art team gives her crazy eyes every other panel.

Is Corvus going to every super group and asking for tributes?  Or just the Inhumans?

Really don’t care Maximus making the analogy to Herrod in the human holy books.  I guess that means the Inhumans are the only ones who have to pay the tribute.  Also, it is a dumb line for Maximus, or that to call the books that. As well as, Herrod is an actual person from history, so he can just make the reference.  I don’t buy that at some point, any Inhuman, besides Karnak, would read the bible.  Maybe Medusa did when she didn’t know who she was.

At Whaan Prime, this is what I mean, Thor, Captain America and Spider-Woman, all wearing the same type of space gear.  If you were a superhero, and were in space fighting aliens along with your peers, would you still wear your superhero suit?  I mean, as long as your powers were not connected to your suit.

As soon as I got up there, I would trade my suit for one of my allied alien power armors or something along those lines.  Why would I need to protect my secret identity up there?  Unless your peers haven’t seen your face before, but that’s more of a trust issue.

I do like seeing the Illuminati together, but only on special occasions, it still is a bad ass concept  and I am still loving it.

Marvel is finding more ways to get Black Bolt to speak, and it is high time!

Black Bolt has figured out that Thanos is only looking for his son, and I guess wants him killed, but not at his hands.  You’ll think Corvus would hve said only sons of 16 to 22, but that would have shown his hand to much.

So did Thanos go to a bunch of planets years ago and impregnated a slew of ladies and now wants to kill those offspring?  As we know, one planet did pay the tribute to him or is it different per planet, and on Earth, it is a bonus if he gets his son killed.

Maybe next issue will have these answers and maybe more X-Men involvement.  Maybe issue three will have Illyana, that would be awesome.

Marvel December 2013 Solicitations

Posted by John Klein III on September 13, 2013
Posted in: Solicitations. Tagged: Solicitations, X:DoFP. Leave a comment

http://www.newsarama.com/18917-marvel-comics-december-2013-solicitations.html

Inhumanity 1

Can’t believe Inhumanity is kicking off as soon as Infinity is over.  Have little to no interest in this one.  At least, at this moment.  I do like Matt Fraction and Oliver Coipel though.

The only time I’ve really liked the Inhumans was with Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee.

There was also that time in the 90s where I was really into the Magneto / Hank Pym families and how awesome all of those characters are.

Uncanny X-Men 15.INH

Has Kitty Pryde in the issue for an All Girls Night, where Kitty is going to hang with Emma and Magik!  That is pretty awesome already!  Kitty and Illyana have spent almost no time together except for the issue where Colossus turned into Juggerossus.

Inhumanity : The Awakening

Pending on how much the Jean Grey School staff is involved in Infinity: The Hunk and now this mini, might have an interest.

Origin II

Ooof, so now James Holwett’s time in the wilderness is only like five years and then he becomes a plaything for Mr. Sinister, that sounds horrible and I really dig Kieron Gillen.

Cataclysm: The Ultimates’ Last Stand 3

I still suspect that I’ll only be interested in the X-Men mini but Kitty might be involved in the main story, who knows.

Cataclysm: Ultimate X-Men 2

Will be buying this, hopefully Kitty is not the one to die!

Amazing Spider-Man 700.1-5

Ooof, that doesn’t sound good at all but I guess the trade will be out in time for Amazing Spider-Man 2, but there has to be better ways to do this.

Marvel Knights X-Men 2

Sort of getting excited about this.  I like the new talent and the story sounds good.

Amazing X-Men 2

Still no sign of Kitty in this, shoot!

All-New X-Men 20

Sounds like the series is still going on, fallout still happening but X-23 is now being spotlighted.  Not sure if this is on my must buy list anymore.

X-Men 8

This is for sure on my must buys.  Frenzy might be joining the team, that might add an interesting perspective.  Only really followed her during Age of X and then she sort of got lost in the shuffle.

Wolverine and the X-Men 39

More fallout but Wolverine and Cyclops together?   Should be interesting.,

Wolverine 12

Kitty is not mentioned in this solict, so I might only be on for issues 9, 10 and 11.

Savage Wolverine 13

But what’s this!?!  Kitty Pryde showing up in this title, and drawn by Phil Jimenez!?!  Yes please!  And written by him too!

Uncanny X-Force 15

One of the cast dies.  And it can’t be Psylocke or Storm, so now isn’t a good time to be Puck

Longshot Saves the Marvel Universe 3 & 4

Wolverine, King of the Vampires, was an awesome What If? story back in the day, I doubt they will reference it in this mini, but awesome if they did.

In the Trades section,

X-Men Days of Future Past for $40 for the hardcover.

X-MEN (1963) #141, UNCANNY X-MEN (1963) #142, X-MEN ANNUAL (1970) #14, EXCALIBUR (1988) #52 and #66-67, and WOLVERINE: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST #1-3; and material from FANTASTIC FOUR ANNUAL #23, NEW MUTANTS ANNUAL #6, X-FACTOR ANNUAL #5 and HULK: BROKEN WORLDS #2.

141 and 142 are the story proper.  The annuals are the Days of Present story with Franklin from DoFP and the Excalibur issues are like an awesome sequel.  The Wolverine mini and Hulk: Broken Words are prequels apparently.  Will have to look into the Hulk issue as I’ve never heard of it.

So my totals are:

5 buys must buys and 5 maybes.  $15 or $30, that is well within budget and during Christmas time so that is pretty good too!

Ellen Page Wants To Keep Being Kitty Pryde

http://www.newsarama.com/18895-loki-kitty-pryde-solo-films-wolverine-in-spidey-movie-more.html

http://www.vulture.com/2013/09/ellen-page-on-touchy-feely-and-kitty-pryde.html

Apparently Josh Whedon, in an interview, that wants to see a solo Kitty Pryde movie.

Ellen Page, and me, would love to see that too!

I imagine with Whedon’s clout he now has, I bet he could really make this happen.  I am sure he rather not become the comic book adaption writer / director guy while in this phase of his career, but he could probably push FOX to do it.  Plus, I am sure Disney Marvel has him on a specific contract, so he can’t direct another studio’s comic book adaption.

A Kitty Pryde movie could be made, for like, no money.  Not Chasing Amy no money, but a budget of 20 million, max, could do it, I bet.

Just open up Shadow and Flame, and start filming.

Throw Hugh Jackman in the beginning of the film, to wish her luck, warning her that Japan can be quite dangerous.

Have Lockheed in it, of course, and don’t have her try to explain why he is there, just imply they met on a previous adventure.

Though I am not sure if this would keep Lockheed from being in a Pet Avengers animated film.  Maybe they could do a deal like they have with Sony.  Disney Marvel owns animated Spider-Man, and Sony owns live action Spider-Man.

Which maybe Disney Marvel already has that deal with FOX, as both X-Men and Fantastic Four have shown up on both Ultimate Spider-Man and the Avengers cartoons.

How come Disney Marvel didn’t make their first animated film, Pet Avengers, is beyond me.  Or why they choose Big Hero Six.  Like their legion of fans had to be awoken from 1998, and told the news, and then had to tell them that they have to wait three more years.  Can Sunfire even be in that movie?

I am sure that Chris Eliopoulos would love to have a giant truck of money be dumped on his front door, and he deserves it too!  But maybe just write him a check.  The marketing, action figures and plush animals alone will make the film’s budget back.  And sure, I just want this film so I can have a plush Lockheed, but who doesn’t!?!

Back to the Shadow and Flame adaption, you will also have to briefy explain away the Ogun plot from Kitty Pryde and Wolverine.  Which the reason why we can’t make that movie is that I’m sure FOX has a limited amount of times they use Jackman as a lead as that character.  But they could probably do all of his scenes in a week, as he is there for the big moments, but Kitty carries the plot.

In Shadow and Flame, they could swap ou Silver Samurai, or go the James Bond route and tell the audience, it is a different guy now, and that is that.

They could make two movies, Kitty Pryde and Wolverine; and Shadow and Flame, that would be awesome, plus it would work as a trilogy and they are all sequels to each other and the Wolverine film.  It all works out.  Just throw Lockheed into Kitty Pryde and Wolverine, to make that movie even better, plus, they are going to make changes regardless, might as well make a change that would  get people excited.

All New X-Men 16

Battle of the Atom Part Two of Ten

Immonen’s layouts are stunning this issue.  He uses these “not quite” double page spreads, 60% spreads, I will call them, and they are amazing.

I like Hijack calling him Dr. Magneto and the location as a bunker.  Shows how new to this he is.  Him also not knowing which Cuckoo he is speaking to, is a nice touch.

Cyclops and Triage have a great conversation.  It must be uncanny to be able to heal with only your hands, but to bring back the near dead, changes your game.

That opening is all we get from the Uncanny crew, the rest of the issue is with the Jean Grey School and its cast.

All New X-Men 16 Kate Pryde 1a All New X-Men 16 Kate Pryde 1b

All New X-Men 16 Kitty 1

I really like the reactions of our cast to the Future X-Men.

I like that it is both Iceman and Beast, who have three counterparts for each time period.  One to make jokes and the other to appreciate it.

Both Icemen are blown back at their future self.  He is an Ice-Hulk, maybe he will be able to speak down the line.

Future Xavier, I wonder if he will be Legion and Blindfold’s son?

Really like Wolverine going around and stating who people are, confirming with his senses.

Future Beast, has only one horn and walks with a cane.  I imagine that he is like Yoda, and has a cane but is still quick in combat.

Past Beast, if he is smart, should never start experimenting with his powers, or drink any potions.

All New X-Men 16 Kitty 2

Great hug by Future Kitty to Logan.

Our Kitty makes a great joke to Storm about moisturizing, even better response by Storm.

Future Deadpool pushes Future Kitty aside to kiss Wolverine on the cheek.

There is a big moment reveal with the Future X-Men being in the present but it is being handled with some humor that I really appreciate.  Yes, it is crazy, but this is the X-Men, they deal with crazy all the time.  Plus, the Future X-Men did not start off by throwing punches, so that helps.

I wish the Molly Hayes interaction with Wolverine was better.  Maybe he just didn’t want to realize that little girl who has knocked him out, twice, is now all grown up.  I don’t believe Runaways have a current book now, with a few of them being involved with Avengers Arena, but I want current Princess Piwer to meet Future Bruiser.  Bruiser still has a thing for hats, that is an awesome addition to the character design, I wonder who should get credit for that?

I was thinking maybe they can do it like Mutant Massacre, and have a special one shot that has the two meet, that is not part of the saga proper, but takes place during it.

So a huge fight does occur, naturally, due to a misunderstanding.

They notice too late that Jean Grey is missing.

Two minutes ago, Jean was having a telepathic conversation with Past Beast, she wants to get out of there and he wants to witness this great moment in X-History.

The page where he tells her, no, is breathtaking.  Immonen’s art looks better when it is blown up, he puts so much detail on his close ups.

Of course, once Hank says no, she still wants to leave and changes targets to Scott.  Even more of course, Scott agrees so fast.  I wonder if she will even tell him about the kissing she did with Hank?  It clearly didn’t mean anything to her, she was just hoping to change her own future.

Kitty and Kate both say “oh no” at the same time, makes me smile every time.  Hopefully Lockheed gets to meet Kate at some point in the next eight parts.

Scott and Jean steal the Blackbird and are off to who knows where, and abandon it on a beach so they can start running.  This is what Battle of the Atom is going to be about, getting these two back to their proper timeline.

I like that Jean has a plan to make sure, if they do go back, that she won’t let Xavier mindwipe their future adventure away.

Back at the school, Rachel Grey finally shows up.  I know this is clearly a different future than the one she is from, but I so want it to be quasi  the same one so we can get some Kate / Rachel moments.

Rachel confronts Lady Xorn, and that reveal is pretty awesome and shocking.

Great use of two pages of ads, so you got that extra second of a pause.  I know Bendis uses ad space like that in the past, so I imagine he did the same here.  Great use iof production.  What ad I can’t stand at the monent, the Treasure Hunters by James Patterson full page.  No kids are reading these comics, thus it feels pretty insulting to advertising so geared to children.  At least balance it with another ad for a novel or something.  But I guess I also never understood car ads in comics either.  Who reads a comic, turns to a car ad, and walks up to their spouse and says they need to buy that car?    I guess even if three people did buy a car, that would be worth it.

I didn’t catch that Lady Xorn was an older version, at first. I thought she was the same person, but on a second read, I noticed that she leans down to kiss Rachel’s cheek (two of those in one issue!) and that  she is the same height as Storm.  Missed those the first time, but what a great job to show the growth of the character.  Growth and age.

She references a promise Kitty made to her and I can’t recall what it is.  I want to say it was something along the lines of, the Original Five could stay in the present until it got too dangerous, and then they will go back to their proper timeline.

Issue ends with a guy listening to a radio station about to play Dazzler’s top ten song, nice to know she at least got one hit.

Looking at the checklist, I really like that for the next eight weeks, only one part is coming out each week.  Making each issue, an event.  That makes for a great schedule.  There are non-involved X-titles coming out during that time, but for this storyline, only one per week.  I fully support this.

. . .

This is our 75th post!  Thanks for all of the support!

I like that for whatever reason, Hastings is becoming a big enough store, that they are getting various variants now.

If it wasn’t for our local Hastings, I wouldn’t be able to buy comics at all here.

Not too sure why they went with Wolverine and Jean for this.  Those two have spent like no real time together.

I suppose they didn’t want two women on the cover, and Wolverine was on the original.  Jean Grey is the driving force behind this storyline.

Of the Original Five, she is the one with the most to lose, as of the five, she is the only one not currently alive.

I like how Kitty is on the poster side of the homage, and twice!  That is pretty cool.

X-Men Battle of the Atom 1

Part One of Ten

Nice open with Magik being in the future right away.  She is breaking a rule by doing so, but the captions imply that Cyclops is already reading the note from her, so this three page section takes place later in the story.

X-Men Battle of the Atom 1 Lockheed

Back at the school, Jean is trying to tell Bobby to not start a food fight.  Kitty states that they have had those before.  Food fights always seem to be products of television, movies abd cartoons, no one actually has those.  They are a waste of food and I can’t even imagine cleaning up all of it.

I couldn’t tell if Kitty’s Cerebro alert is a Lockheed head, or is it really him in the monitor room reaching out?  He definitely is not in the room when they get there.

As far as I can tell, Lockheed has not met the Original Five at this point.

Shout out to Phoenix, Arizona, if only it had been Yuma.

Animax is an interesting new character.  Looks like, what she draws becomes real.  With all of those dragons, Lockheed would have fit right in.

Cho has been drawing these opening pages.  I like the way he worked in Liberty Meadows, his independent book.  Nice job!

Bobby wanting to hurry the fight up, as he is not doing well in the Arizona heat, is a nice touch.  That is not a problem present day Iceman has.  Bobby wants to date the villain, probably overreacting to his present self dating Kitty.

Is it just me, or is it odd that Sentinels are always sneaking up on people?  Are their boot thrusters on stealth mode?  They must be so loud, but after all these years, no one ever hears them coming until they are right on top of them.

Reference to All New X-Men 10, where Kitty is training them to fight Sentinels, and the team does not listen to her.  I like how they still don’t do that great of a job.  They are still to new at this.  Barely have ten adventures under their belts.

Teen Scott takes a beating during this fight.

Cho does a spectacular job with the introduction of the Uncanny X-Men.  Though I do notice that the one Cuckoo has her hair back to blonde, but that is more of an issue with the editor, or simply this story takes place after the current Uncanny arc.  That’s probably it, or Cho drew this months ago and afterwards, Bendis felt like changing her.

I love the interaction between Kitty and Cyclops.  Very cute from her and you can tell he is being playful as well.  He helps her up as he is a true gentleman.

Awesome double page spread!

I still forget Magneto us in all white

Young Scott takes a would be fatal blast from a Sentinel, current Cyclops disappears.  Luckily, Triage is there abd brought both of them back to life.

How different are the two uniforms of Cyclops?  So drastic, but I can’t take my eyes off of the lack of a proper visor on current Cyclops.

Once the All New X-Men team, minus Angel, get back to the Jean Grey School, Immonen takes the art chores.  That is a smart move, as Part Two takes place in All New X-Men, so for the trade, the art will just blend in.  Good job!

Wolverine, Storm, Iceman, Beast and Kitty all want to send the Original Five back to the past, immediately.

Then the future X-Men come through the time cube.

So in the room we have

From the Past

Beast, Cyclops, Iceman and Jean

From the Present

Iceman, Kitty, Storm and Wolverine

From the Future

Beast, Bruiser, Deapool, Iceman, Kate Pryde, Lady Xorn and Xavier

A couple of pin ups are in the back

David Lopez does the Original Five

Frazer Irving does Uncanny X-Men, Magik is in this one

Simone Bianchi and Frank Martin does Wolverine and the X-Men, which has Kitty and I am not usually a fan of Bianchi (his art is usually too dark for my tastes) but there is a clear light source and can make out everything.

Phil Noto does X-Men, Kitty looks great in this one too.  There is a softness that I like

Stefano Caselli and Andres Mossa does the Future X-Men, minus Kate Pryde, so there’s that.

These pin ups are most likely be used for the second printing variants for this saga.  I will be interested in three of the five.

The Hellfire Saga Part Five of Five

Wolverine and the X-Men 35 Kitty 1

I must have missed the first part of this saga as I don’t really remember any of the proper Hellfire Academy students.  There is Snot and the girl who would have kissed him by now if he would only wipe his nose.  Which is funny, I just don’t know them.

Toad has been fighting Husk for three issues!  But this is one of those, each issue is like 30 minutes in the lives of these characters.

I like that Kade Kilgore makes weapons that are program not to fire at him, that is a pretty smart safety feature when you are running around with that crowd.

Toad takes enough layers off of Husk where now she has been reset.  So I guess we’re not going to get her true motivation for turning evil or why her powers were going out of control.  She’s at least reset to the first issue of this title as she doesn’t remember her relationship with Toad.  Which is heartbreaking but also sad in that she only was in like five issues of this title so we didn’t lose any real character moments outside of her relationship.  Poor Toad finally got a girl and now has to work to get her again.  But with her powers being back to normal, maybe, I doubt she will have that lack of esteem like before.

Quire and Oya kissed, that’s pretty nice to see that relationship become official.

The page where everyone is blocked by the light, is colored very well.  Nice hue of yellow.  Not sure which member or members of the coloring army did it but nice touch.

Kitty and Rachel can communicate with telepathy again.

Broo bites a Bamf.

Even Wilhelmina betrays Kilgore, and apparently they had a quasi-relationship of their own that was never hinted at.

Kilgore also becomes lack luster at the end as well, wanting a hug, boo!  Goes and shows that he is only a kid.

Nice to see the Siege Perlious again.  Wilhelma and Philistine go through it and later, Kade and Dog Logan go through it.

Nice that we have original Broo back, bout time!  Great pacing with the growl and then the cough with proper dialogue following.  I miss that guy!

Turns out Logan isn’t going to shut the school down.

I read someone’s reaction to the issue of Kitty getting a haircut and losing her curls and it does look like that here, but with Battle of the Atom, she has her lovely locks still in place so maybe it was bad angles here.

I do like Kitty with longer hair but that’s only because the two times she had short hair were not great moments in her life.  The first being when Ogun cut all of her hair in Kitty Pryde and Wolverine mini and the second was during X-Men 100 where everyone got new looks and her’s was a new haircut and costume.

I guess those two male members of the Hellfire Academy are now members of the Jean Grey School, that’s disappointing as I would like to be done with those characters but I’m sure they will become wallpaper extremely soon.  Plus, keep your enemies closer and all of that.

Broo tells Beast that he got better having biting a Bamf.

That final page reveal is pretty awesome!  I do feel ready to get one of my favorite X-Men members back!  Excited about Amazing X-Men, but first, we have to see how Battle of the Atom changes everything!
