Like most people, I’m sort of addicted to this song. It is super catchy! I type that as someone who isn’t a huge JT fan, most of his popular songs don’t sound like songs to me. Like Sexy Back, is he even singing on that track?
This song is for DreamWorks’ Trolls, that should be out on November 3rd, I believe. I’m hoping the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Trolls make it to the film.
I’m not sure if that movie is working under the rules of the Lego Film wherein they have the rights to everything Troll but those were the only ones I ever bought. I’m sure I was given some or gotten one for free but I wasn’t ever swept up in it. My sister had a subscription to Troll magazine and had a lot more of them.
The Trolls film I had already decided I wasn’t going to track the film but then this song came out and I had to look the film up.
There is a more star studded music video –
that VEVO channel hosted this video too.
The stars are – the beatufiul Anna Kendrick, the funny late night host Josh Cordan, Gwen Stafani, @Midnight alum and super funny Ron Funches, Big Bang Theory’s Kuanal Nayyar. The two ladies with the puppies, I didn’t know but that’s Icona Pop.
I know I’ve posted this before but –
Saturday Night Live’s (who hosted this video) Dongs All Over the World, features Anna Kendrick and has an appearance by Icona Pop. Such a fun song!
JustinTimberlakeVEVO hosted this video as well.
I wouldn’t mind if they posted the full video of the stars dancing but they smartly released Anna Kendricks and it is awesome! Is there anything she’s not great in? I doubt it as I’ve seen a lot of her films.
I really like Sabino’s commitment to making their speech balloons are upside down, along with them. AoA Shadowcat and Peter Quill are blaming each other, for their present situation.
Gambit corrects them, they are both to blame. Gambit, correctly, assumes that Quill is Pryde’s sidekick. He denies, this, though he is willing to be Thor’s sidekick.
Gambit likes to remind Pryde of their time together in Higher Avalon. I like how he wants to put a Spider-Man mask, on her. They make references to the other domains, as they are in the know.
There is a huge KLANG and Gambit goes to investigate.
Shadowcat explains why she is powerless against Widget. When God Doom created Battleworld, he knew he would be having duplicated heroes. I guess he also figured they would eventfully meet and wanted to make sure that any fights, will have to be bad arse.
Look at those various Shadowcats! A teenage one, maybe from House of M. Ultimate Shadowcat. Black Queen, from Mutant X – so great! AoA Shadowcat, in the center, as she is the star of this series. Widget, from the Proper Marvel Universe or that one from the Uncanny X-Force storyline when they went to the Captain Britain Corps (Otherworld). issues 20 – 23. Proper Kitty Pryde, from the costume and the awesome Lockheed! Finally, there is a Tigra Shadowcat, which is pretty fun.
Quill gets a plan, since Widget is a Kitty Pryde, it should be attracted to him – so he starts a flirtmance.
He sings, as he always does, Once Upon A Dream – from Cinderella.
Thanks to YouTuber DisneyMusicVEVO for hosting the video.
It totally works and Widget and Quill kiss!
Gambit comes back, he couldn’t find anything except for a tacky white jacket.
Since it worked, Widget has let StarKat go. Shadowcat tries to stab Gambit, we are told more about the actual mission in Avalon. Gambit stole the Sword of the Knight Crawler (get it?) so that must be how he screwed her over. The knife she tried to use, was one of the Longshot knives so it bounces off of Gambit. It bounces from Gambit, off of Shadowcat, off the head of a statue of God Doom, nearly misses Widget and it slices Quill’s right arm.
What a fun and soft homage to Uncanny X-Men 141. At first, I didn’t think it was suppose to be that, but the posters of God Doom and Shadowcat’s outstretch arm, seals the deal.
God Doom appears and scares Gambit. I keep typing it “Gabmit” does anyone else do that?
With a nasty upper cut, Gambit is taken out. Shadowcat starts trying to explain the situation. I take it, that she deals more with Valeria, his daughter.
God Doom was really Fun Loving Drax, which I’m sure must be super illegal!
Later. Quill and Drax want to know what has been in the briefcase, this entire time. She reveals what it is . . . A tail! Quill instantly recognizes that it is his old pal, Rocket’s tail! Apparently, there is a rumor that Rocket’s tail is fake, if that makes any sense.
Twenty minutes later, Quill is still hugging the tail. Drax reveals that he left Gambit in front of a defaced God Doom poster, Doom Sux. The Thors arrive, the penalty for defiling the image of God Doom, with a typo, is . . . DEATH! I sort of love the concept of that rule book, with that cause in it.
Shadowcat wants the tail back. Quill, in a very touching moment, doesn’t want to depart with it. It is the only piece of home he has, plus of his friend, that he has seen in forever. Shadowcat can relate, as she isn’t home either. Quill tries to hand it over, but she lets him keep it.
Look how happy he is! This comic (and series) has been so great. Quill proceeds to try to ruin the moment.
Pryde can’t resist anymore, all of that disgust has turn around to attraction. He guesses at what it was, that turn her.
It was his puppy dog eyes. She does love that song, good thing Disney films are everywhere. Pryde leaves, stating that she hopes he doesn’t get himself killed.
Drax hears Quill’s real name, as he was using “Steve Rogers” as an alias. Drax knew he wasn’t a variant of Captain America, as Rogers has never had a singing voice.
Issue ends with the two guys joking, Quill wants an army of Rockets.
This has been one of the best series to come out of Secret Wars 2015. From the writing, to the art, to the coloring, the atmosphere has just been pure fun.

So this scenario came to me the other day.
So let’s say there is a enemy who is taking hostages and Cyclops is the only guy around. He starts optic blasting foes and takes care of business – as Scott Summers do.
Then afterwards – when he is walking back to the Blackbird – he starts walking pass the civilians he just saved. Someone gets bold enough to shout at him, good job with the heat vision!
This, of course, makes Cyclops sad as his powers are not heat generated. It is more of a force. Also, it will remind him of Uncanny X-Men 391 – the awesome issue where Corsair and Scott go camping and poor Christopher Summers makes the huge mistake of asking his adult son, to start the camp fire with his eyes. Scott had to explain to his father, how his powers works. It is a great issue and that is essentially my review of it as it doesn’t have Kitty, Lockheed nor Illyana so this is the only time I can do the review.
I couldn’t find a perfect screencap of it but this website has it in a funny way :
I will always remember the issue number as it is the very next issue after Uncanny X-Men 390, the issue Colossus died in. So two great issues, back to back. Scott Lobdell was on all cylinders!
So, Cyclops is still walking away from that guy, maybe he is making a sad face or a grimace – or even a brave face. He will get through this.
Next – some other guy recognizes him as Cyclops of the X-Men and shouts at him – Hey! Do you know Wolverine, that guy is cool! Then adds insult to injury by doing the claws stabbing the air thing that I’ve seen so many people do. Trying to imitate Wolverine.
Cyclops doesn’t respond to this jerk either, but by now, he must be having Joe Harnell’s Lonely Man theme from the Incredible Hulk television series, playing in his mind.
Thanks to YouTuber Gustavo for hosting the video.
Such an amazing song! I will often think about hitch hiking, also, when I think of this song.
So Cyclops is just putting on a brave face, hoping to stop hearing about heat visions and Wolverine being cool, having sad songs playing in his head.
Instead of all that, he should be having :
Cyclops, Just Blast a Dude from Uncanny X-Cast 50, playing in his head. Sung / rap by Brian Perillo. Based off of Young MC’s Bust a Move.
A song that I wake up to every morning. Rob Briscoe’s Muties, We were Born to Run
is another favorite. Of course, taken from Bruce Springsteen’s Born to Run.
I just checked this post in preview and it looked like those two links didn’t work so here is the Uncanny X-Cast dropbox link.
Now that I think of it, I guess this scenario only works in a universe where a guy with heat vision is super popular to create the assumption. Do many people have heat vision in the Marvel Universe? I suppose Vision does. Gladiator does too but I can’t imagine many on Marvel Earth know who that is – even though he is the King of the Shi’ar. Hyperion would to, but again, not many would know about the Squadron Squadron. I can’t think of a fourth person and Gladiator and Hyperion are just Superman versions in the Marvel Universe – I’m sure there has been various other carbon copies floating about.
Marvel Knights Spider-Man Volume One 13 through 18, the Wild Blue Yonder, had Spider-Man meeting a new superhero who turn out to be a Skrull, that guy had heat vision if I remember correctly. Virtue, was the character name.
So I got tired of how much Walker Dennis was watching BabyTV’s Songs and Rhymes on HuluPlus. I appreciate that there are nine episodes and it was good background music for maybe 45 minutes but I couldn’t do those songs anymore.
Thanks to YouTuber Hankshostak for hosting the video.
So this past Easter, I was looking for Easter songs. I was mostly wondering if there were even such a thing. What I found has captured my imagination.
Not only does Bounce Patrol have one Easter song, they have three!
Thanks to Bounce Patrol Kids for hosting their own videos.
So that is 27 minutes of pretty great songs.
Here is a video, containing 35 minutes of songs. We usually play these back to back. This one has some fun Halloween songs, one of them containing a Magneto costume!
So I wanted to make sure that Bounce Patrol was a good nature group and not up to anything sinister. That lead me to finding almost no information about them.
They are a very nice Australian group. My favorites are Jacinta and Alyssa, who is a Canadian. Will and Jackson are pretty fun too. You would see a tall man in some videos, who I am not sure who that is. He is never name checked and Rachel, who joined the crew in 2014, replaces him – as I’ve never seen them together. Whatever happened to that guy?
Then I found this video –
Kids Life, Better than a Playground – which breaks from the norm of all of their future videos as it is outside, away from their green screens. I couldn’t find the release date of it but they all look noticeably younger here. It was released three years ago.
The only other video that I know that has such synchronize dancing is –
Halloween Rules
Just to include it, here is the “Everybody Loves Halloween” that features Jackson in an awesome Magneto costume
Anyone know who this fourth lady is?
Maybe she is a producer?
I do like how they have taken the steps to get some Playlists together.
In the Alphabet Songs, they have gotten up to M, and that was only a few months ago. I like this as I’m really hoping that Walker Dennis will eventually pick up on all of the sounds and start talking.
Here is the big announcement that Rachel is joining the crew. They hint that Alyssa is going away for a tiny bit. I’m not sure which videos seem to be effected by this, as they seem to make a point of leaving one person out of each of their videos. Sometimes they have all five but those seem to be special occasions. How does a Canadian get hooked up with an Australian children musical troupe? How does anyone join a children musical troupe? I’m pretty fascinated with that concept. Good for them, doing a job that I can only imagine is super rewarding and a real treat.
The production aspect to, Colors, really fascinates me as well. They must be wearing green screen styled shirts too, right? I do like how they made the point of doing Yellow and Blue makes Green, then they go with Yellow and Red making Orange. But nothing rhymes with Orange! They should have just gone Blue and Yellow making Purple and not have been so awkward but they sure are having fun with the whole thing.
Does anyone know anything about Bounce Patrol? No one seems to be discussing them online, that I can see. I see from their YouTube page that they do have fans, as they have uploaded some videos.
I’m pretty sure they don’t have sinister intentions and Walker Dennis loves the songs, so I’m committed to them for the time being.
One last video –
“To the Music” makes no sense. It is catchy as all heck but the things that they can do ‘to the music’ why would anyone? I will freely admit that I’ve given them way too much thinking time, to the point where I had to make this post, so that I could get the thoughts out of my head.
Thanks for indulging me!
Honestly, who is this man in the red shirt? What is his name? Why did he leave the show?
My current theory is that Will didn’t like being regulated to the role of the cat in Kids Life. Or that Will didn’t like being known as the third dude and convinced production that two dudes and three ladies is a winning solution.
Take for instance, Old MacDonald Had a Farm –
Will is regulated to the farmer role, giving no lines and not great costuming. Those gray eyebrows throw me off.
I do like how they gave the song a preface, that is pretty nice. Is that an Australian thing or a Bounce Patrol thing?
Update, so my investigation revealed this interesting Facebook post –
So that guy’s name is Sam and he had another job that made him not able to commit to the show, at that time. I can only imagine that that job has since become a full time commitment.
So I suppose that Will is off the hook, but I still suspect him of some involvement in it.
On May 15th, the day before Walker Dennis turned seventeen months old, they released another compilation video!
So in addition to the 35 minute video and the 27 minute video, they now have a 33 minute video.
At first, I figured this video was going to be a collection of songs, minus the holiday ones, as they should have one of those that doesn’t include Halloween or Easter songs, like a timeless collection. It isn’t like they are also including their Christmas songs in any of these.
A pretty good mixture of all of their songs across their different eras.
In our continued quest to learn more about our favorite YouTube Childrens Sensation, I found this video –
I wish it was up on YouTube, as it would be nicer to have in this post. A great video about who the members of Bounce Patrol are. I’m glad that they are becoming a recognizable force and that they are beloved around the world and not just in our living room here in Helena, Montana.
I was really hoping that the Action Figure variant was going to be this Kitty Pryde but it makes sense that Quill gets the first action figure variant. I’m hoping she gets the next one. This comic isn’t quite the ride I thought it was going to be.
As of Secret Wars 2015 4, Quill is still with the Proper Marvel Universe Characters – Spider-Man, Black Panther, Reed Richards, Captain Marvel and Thor. So I’m not sure how Quill separates from the main group, to make this issue possible. Maybe issue five explains that.
Issue opens in a nightclub. The bartender wears a shirt that resembles Black Bolt’s symbol. Quill is a lounge singer. In this region, no one knows Disney songs, so he comes off like a genius. Quill recounts the end of the universe, he doesn’t quite understand how all of this happen. We are suppose to ask Reed, if we want answers. He says that “in the chaos, he got separated” so that might be all the explanation that we get. Not sure how Secret Wars 2015 4 delayed this title, so much, as it seems like this one page doesn’t spoil nor tie in, to the series, at all.
Quill is in Manhattan, so it must be on that region of Battleworld. A lady offers to buy him a martini, but he turns it down.
Outside, a Drax with a hair style that will put Conan O’Brien’s hair to shame, it is so high! Drax calls Quill “Steve Rogers” as it was the first name Quill could come up with. Doom’s goons are looking for him, so he has to go by a different name. Drax knew a Steve Rogers, from a few domains over. Which is an odd comment, as I thought no one was suppose to know about the other domains. This Drax likes to tell jokes like how the proper one likes to fight.
We get to the co-star of the title! Look at that dress, it is clearly inspired by the Proper Kitty Pryde’s cosmic upgrade. There have been interviews stating that this is suppose to be the Age of Apocalypse Shadowcat, but I’m not sure if that is obvious, with this issue.
Kitty Pryde is here to meet with someone. That person is . . . Gambit, the Collector!! Gambit has ordered a St. Croix. Which Google only tells me there is a bottled water but maybe I’m not doing a search right. Kitty wants to keep this, strictly business. Gambit states that she is an agent of Valeria Von Doom’s Foundation, so that makes sense, as AoA Shadowcat was leading Generation Next. This does make me want to track Runaways better, but she wasn’t mentioned or seen, in the first issue of that series.
Shadowcat is after an anomaly, and Gambit wants his reward. He hands her a lock of hair, the origin of the hair is unknown. She also calls this “Doomforsaken Manhattan.” Since the Foundation doesn’t know the origins, it proves that the Gospel of Doom may not be completely true. The students of the Runaways title, come from various regions – so they know what is up. Plus, Valeria lives with God Doom, so she sees him – all the time.
Gambit’s reward? Longshot empowered blades, made from his very own bones! That’s pretty intense! Gambit takes back the lock of hair, apparently.
Quill is about to start his next set, we see that Strong Guy is part of her band. Not sure who the wolf guy is and maybe that is Polaris, with the green hair?
Quill starts to sing, Once Upon A Dream, from Sleeping Beauty. Which is the song he sung, before proposing to the Proper Kitty Pryde.
Thanks to YouTuber LordDaine, for hosting this video!
Which is something that you get, when you have the same writer write the Secret Wars Tie In series, that wrote Quill’s last series. Good for you, Humphries!
Quill then sees Kitty Pryde!
I love reading Quill’s mental commentary. Kitty is the best lady in the galaxy.
Firmansyah does a good job of recreating many of Paco Medina’s moments. I’m surprised her wearing the banana costume didn’t make it.
Quill leaves the stage, so fast!
Gambit tries to make a move on Kitty but she pops some metal claws – so that should be enough to prove she is AoA Shadowcat. How she isn’t dead, is beyond me but I’m also cool with it.
Gambit and Kitty did hook up, once in New Avalon but Kitty is quick to tell him – that was a mistake.
Quill tells Gambit to back off. Gambit isn’t happy that Kitty brought someone.
Kitty doesn’t recognize this blonde fellow. I really do wish that we saw Gambit take back the lock of hair, I feel like this is an important story beat, but wasn’t shown.
Gambit charges the champagne bottle and throws it at the non-couple. Drax, is the club owner. Gambit quickly throws the Longshot blades, so he didn’t get to keep them long.
Strong Guy is the drummer of the band. Storm is at the club, she was enjoying a drink.
Kitty wants Gambit to be stopped, but he is too quick. Kitty is worried about the backlash of Valeria, who for all purposes, is the daughter of God Doom. So I would be afraid of her wrath, as well. The hair is gone as are the blades. Quill doesn’t pick up on the importance of what is happening.
Quill, gets caught up in the moment, and kisses Kitty.
She does not like that! His face gets punched, so hard! His blood falls on the machine, that detects origins.
Issue ends with Kitty learning that Quill is a living anomaly. She handcuffs him to her and starts running towards Doomgard. The last place Quill wants to be!
Rob and Brian aired my ninth voicemail! Mine airs and the discussion from 21:22 – 23:34. This one is about how sad I was about Alan Rickman dying and not caring for the finale of Secret Wars 2015.
The guy did segue the voicemail into a discussion of Love Actually, a film that I only watched because of how the guys enjoyed it. It really is quite good. I would still rank Die Hard over it, for better Christmas movie.
The guys did hip us to this awesome YouTube video –
Lila Cheney featuring Dazzler& The New Mutants – I Will Steal Your Heart
Thanks to Greasy Pig Studios for hosting the video.
Crazy how dedicated to the New Mutants this video is. I like Josephine Hies as Magik,
Actually, this is Olly Murs’ song that features Demi Lovato
Thanks to OllyMursVEVO for hosting the video
I’m not that aware of Olly Murs but I really dig this song.
Really Don’t Care
Thanks to YouTuber DemiLovatoVEVO, for the rest of the videos.
Which features Cher Lloyd, who I also am not that familiar with. This was my first video of Demi’s that I saw.
Heart Attack
My favorite sections are the ones that feature her in the white outfit and the black inked hands but not with the ink around her neck. There is something that is haunting about those brief moments.
One draw back is, around the two minute mark, it sounds like an alarm clock is going off. That isn’t great.
Give Your Heart A Break
I’m pretty sure this was the first song of hers that I heard.
I was hoping for a fifth video but I couldn’t really settle on another one of hers, so I’m going with her version of
Frozen
Which is lame, I know but I dig the song.
Demi is also featured on The Vamps “Somebody To You”
Thanks to TheVampsVEVO for hosting the video!
Like the video itself, Demi seems to be just tacked on to the track. Take her out of it, and it still stands as a decent song.
The main gal is Laura Marano, who is very pretty but way too young. Reminds me of a slightly younger Danica McKellar.
Her latest video – Cool For The Summer – \
is pretty great! I guess that answers the question if she still has body issues. She’s in killer shape!
She also assisted Fallout Boy in their hit song, Irresistible –
Thanks to FallOutBoyVEVO for hosting their video.
Joey Fatone also shows up, as this video is a play off of NSYNC’s Bye Bye Bye video but with action figures instead of puppets – which is better.
For my money, I like Fallout Boy’s solo version of their video –
Which is super fun to watch and great use of the audience!
To get it back to Demi, she has this video, that features Sirah – Waitin for You –
That is super intense! Demi doesn’t blink, once! Well, she does but the look she is giving me (the viewer) I can’t stop thinking about how mad she is at me or us.
My wife heard this song and wants it put on her iPod. Once I can buy her another gift card, I’ll do so but I’m mostly putting this on here so that I can find it later.
